  1. Unbelievable that folk are still trying to manufacture some sort of club f**k up angle to that cancelled Arbroath friendly. Even if it was our fault, who honestly gives a f**k.

  2. So because you were treated poorly, you want people 12 years later to be treated poorly as well?

  3. Cheers mate. I asked the question about the Proton Beam Therapy but it's not suitable for everybody and it wasn't suitable for me. I'm just back from my first blast of radiotherapy and it was grand. Away out for a wee walk in the sunshine now. Thank you everyone for your kind messages.

  4. Cheers. But I must point out that it really is remarkable that just being a sane human being attracts attention. It's all quite depressing really. Still, I'm sure that the fans will re-energise the team on the pitch next weekend with rousing songs and chants about sashes, Popes, Northern Ireland, ruling waves, long-lived monarchs and all that other really important non-football stuff without which no 21st century sporting event is complete. Grow up lads ffs.

  5. After 12 years in Asia, this will be my first game back. Got three season tickets already for me and the kids and can't wait to show them a full house at home.

  6. Appointed the right management team Coaching staff appointed look decent New CEO appointed with excellent reputation Improved social media updates & communication New partnership with Greaves sport New scout appointed McGivern in as commercial manager Sensible access to PPV and ST streaming Reasonably well handled Covid ticketing prior to restrictions Section of stand allocated to those shielding or at higher risk Differences sorted with CI A special acknowledgement and send off for Alex Totten That's off the top of my head but fair I think to say that things off the field are certainly improving and to suggest otherwise sounds a bit petty tbh. There's a feel good factor emerging around Falkirk again and after the last few years we should enjoy it while it lasts.

  8. Mate, I’ve read the thread. It was a load of stuff about the fact that the DUP never received the money themselves, it went to the NI executive and whether or not that still constitutes a bribe and then you hit out with… Which is completely irrelevant to whether or not they got a bribe. It’s like if I said that the Orange Order weren’t responsible for the 2007 financial crisis, that’s not me defending their other atrocious qualities.

  16. Perhaps it’s just me but there seems to be a lot of self-loathing going on in these forums at the moment. There’s always been moaners at clubs, but it now seems the joy has gone completely for some and that people are verging on hating their own club and wanting them to fail, be it on the pitch or off it. Maybe I just hadn’t noticed these characters before it maybe they are new here but it’s not just Rovers. This thread was full of Dunfermline fans telling us their club is pish. The Ayr thread is already heading the same way. Is this some sort of reaction to COVID or after a year in the house have folk just forgotten what supporting a team actually means? Could understand it if we all supported hugely successful clubs who’d achieved great things and were seriously underperforming, but we all support mid ranking, frequently mediocre provincial teams. If you can’t find the joy in that and keep the mishaps, defeats and occasional moments of farce in perspective then what actually is the point? Rovers and the police clearly have some questions to answer around the systems, pish communication and keeping fans locked out in the dark about what was going on, but seriously don’t understand why any Rovers fan would be desperate to prove the club was at fault. It’s weird

  20. When you're demanding performative denunciations every time someone disagrees with you on a matter unrelated to their abhorrent views then it's absolutely easy to dismiss as virtue signalling. As a queer fella myself I can correctly view the DUP as abhorrent bigots without demanding everyone clarify their disapproval before having a discussion about what to call the money they were given/ secured from Theresa May. What it reads like on the other thread is you struggling to counter his point (which is fair because it is annoying pedantry) and just defaulting to the easiest gotcha there is. Which is fine I suppose, it's not like you should have to work hard on arguing about nonsense on here.

  22. I'd have thought they could have waited for the next game v the Tribute Act? As he couldn't leave the side, top of the division & heading for promotion, quick enough; all for an assistant's job. Then came Souness, & his dreams were crushed. 'Mr Falkirk', the man that wiped Stainrods goal at Perth.

  31. Seeing as some pretty basic trolls were ruining another thread by there constant bleating that the DUP are really "just good guys", only misunderstood, and that they in no way hold hateful, bigoted or misogynistic views, so here's a thread for them to wallow in their naivety and ignorance. Let's start shall we, and where to begin, there is a ton of absolute nonsense the DUP have spouted? How about an easy one, Sammy Wilson and his "I don’t care about Co2 emissions to be quite truthful because I don’t think it’s all that important. I still think climate change is a man made con" .. Climate denial [✓] (source) Maybe Iris Robinson equating child abuse to homosexuality: "I cannot think of anything more sickening than a child being abused. It is comparable to the act of homosexuality. I think they are all comparable. I feel totally repulsed by both." .. Homophobia [✓] (source) Edwin Poots, who was hilariously leader for all of about 10 days, chimes in with: "My view on the earth is that it's a young earth. My view is [it was created in] 4000 BC" .. Nonsense psuedo-science [✓] (source) How about Peter Robinson defending a preacher (McConnell) with "He doesn't have an ounce of hatred in his bones" who claimed "Islam is heathen, Islam is Satanic. Islam is a doctrine spawned in hell." .. Religious zealotry [✓] (source) If I can be bothered, I'll rip apart their policies and corruption, but this should be a good starting point where almost all of us can accept that the DUP are absolutely disgusting individuals, driven by hate and religious indoctrination.
