  1. Really good performance from us today far better than expected and tbh we probably should’ve took all 3 points but considering we’ve had no training for 10 days and potentially some players playing that had COVID playing in the game to come away with that performance and result was great to see. So many good performers for us but I want to particularly highlight Gary Miller who I thought was excellent at back today. He’s someone that gets a hell of a lot of stick but that was a proper captains performance today. As well as him Dixon as always had a great game and kept Megginson quiet for most of the game, going forward Telfer, Nesbitt and Morrison are going to be so key to us. Morrison had their jobber left back on toast the full game and his final ball was a lot better than usual but we are of course lacking that striker. Nesbitt took his goal really well thought he had taken too many touches but still able I keep it and smash it in. Thought the ‘goal’ we scored just after was very harshly ruled out the ‘keeper just made an arse of things and dropped the ball. Finally was really good to see the passion from Sheerin. Never stopped giving instructions and was kicking every ball which is a massive breathe of fresh air compared to our last couple of managers.

  5. Football aside. It was a lovely touch to have a minute to respect those we have lost over the pandemic. The amount of names and faces was quite scary actually, not to mention knowing some of them personally. Lovely touch to have that on the screen.

  9. Aye folk who spend hours posting about Falkirk FC every day of the week want us to lose Embarrassing if your first reaction to getting a point at Cove Rangers is to try and score some strange imaginary points by going after Falkirk fans who think we should be doing better than League One.

  11. I think Sheerin is a good appointment but we have given him no chance. If you read his interview in the Herald you realise we have given up hope of competing in the third division. "I don't know what sort of figures they deal with up there but I've got a pretty strong idea it will be better money than we pay for those three (Draper, Vigurs and Logan). "It would be tough for us to compete for that type of player in the market Cove have shopped in." So we can no longer compete with Cove, as we can't afford the players they are signing. I guess our strength now is in paying people who don't play football, when we all know it's only on the pitch that matters. I didn't think things could get any worse but a board who turn down investment and don't see the need to be competitive in the third tier of Scottish football is an astonishing betrayal of Falkirk fans. I am sure they will all be hiding behind Sheerin and then behind the new CEO. I don't need to say this but I hope we play brilliantly today.

  12. I don't think much has changed since before the game, most people if not all support sheerin and believe we have the spine or framework of a decent side. The gripes are mainly about the board, Holt and signings like wilson. most also agree we need 2 or 3 signings and we should have these in place with a DoF weeks before season start not after. solid result and performance away from home against a title contender. pleased more with the pressing strategy and to hear sheerin is passionate on the touchline. hopefully home fans will also make a difference this season

  15. Given we were in total control by the end, the reliance on cross after cross was a bit worrying. Dundee mopped them up, or gladly accepted the fouls we conceded, quite happily. Neat passes in the channel, followed by a cross to the back post. Clear. Repeat. We had spells of knocking it around quite well, and some of our movement was good. I mentioned at half time that McGrath had been quiet which meant, obviously, he started to pull all the strings after the break. But despite that, we didn't really create much. I can't actually see Dundee being in much danger this season; Cummings alone should have enough goals in him to keep them competitive. His finish for your second was excellent and completely natural. Entertaining game overall and it's nice to feel the simmering rage coming back.

  17. I didn't really want to say anything before the game incase it ended badly but I was looking at those two lineups and thinking we looked far superior in almost every department. There's probably only 2 or 3 Clyde players I'd take for our squad tbh. First half we absolutely cruised it, McKee was strutting around like he owned Broadwood and I actually feared the worst when he went off. We didn't look as effective without him but we had more than enough to comfortably see out the game. Both young fullbacks, who I had concerns about, were superb. MacLean looks like the find of the summer for me, he caused Clyde no end of problems. Hopkirk was looking dangerous out wide and Duthie is just oozing confidence at the minute, I was delighted to see him get a goal. Orsi isn't going to score many but he done his job well and with the likes of MacLean, Duthie, Hopkirk and McKee behind him there are goals there if he brings them into play. What an absolute breath of fresh air it is to watch a Dumbarton team playing actual football. I think that's the first time I've properly enjoyed watching us since Duffy inherited the likes of Dom Thomas and Calum Gallacher.

  18. Probably a combo of the racist manager & the absolutely insipid offseasons for those who don't care about racism, homophobia or misogyny I'd guess. I'll certainly not give the club a penny until Malky gets the boot.

  19. Spot on mate. The fact we are in the same league as Cove given how many leagues there were between us is embarrassing. The fact they are, quite rightly, the favourites with a far better squad is quite frankly a disgrace. I’m sad that I don’t have a season ticket however with Gary Holt continuing to be the boards blue eyed boy and just could not bring myself to pay for one. We will take 400 loyal fans today, which based on Cove’s average attendance will be about half the crowd and despite this loyalty our fans get f**k all back from the club. It’s so sad the way the board treats us.

  20. There’s been all sorts of moans on this thread. Some justified, some not. However the worst moan is that each player doesn’t have his own individual treadmill.

  21. But the fair outcome was a draw [emoji23]. I don't know if I am being wooshed by the explosion on this thread from both sides. It's a shame because it was a thoroughly entertaining game with both teams fully committed to winning it. Quality was lacking at times and the ref was a joke but it was brilliant just to see two teams go at it. Again I think I am being wooshed because both teams weren't relegated today, nobody clinched the top 6. Nothing was won or lost. We weren't good enough to take advantage of havung the extra man but Dundee defended really well and still had a go. We also missed a sitter but credit has to go to the goalkeeper. I am not panicking after that, we all saw what happened to Killie in the play offs. We are 2 similar sized clubs in this day and age ( I know Dundee have a better history) with 2 young ambitious managers. It's crazy to see folk on both sides accusing each other of being seething instead of appreciating what was a good old fashioned game of football that either team could of won but didn't. Anyway ^^^^^^ seething ect [emoji23].

  27. Considering Ross County and Dumbarton lost complete squads to Covid in recent weeks I can understand why the club are being very careful. We want to push on this season and a Covid outbreak would put the scuppers on that. Of course I want to be in the stadium and struggle with the reasoning of the limitations but the bottom line is I do not want Covid to screw things up for us. I am a patient guy - got to be being a Buddie - so will wait a few more weeks when hopefully we are better placed to have all our fans back in the stadium.

  28. Reading all the posts on here and on B&W Army it's quite clear that it all boils down to whatever view you have regarding the perceived threat of Covid. I'm really not bothered by all of this, as I have far more important matters to worry about. I can see reasons both for and against the way the club has dealt with matters, but I'm not wetting my knickers about it and getting overly melodramatic about it, as life is far too short to get that bothered about football.

  30. Thought we were fantastic today given the circumstances. I hadn't watched any of the friendlies or league cup games so little things we did were really pleasing to see - moves at throw ins, set piece routines etc. Team were talking to each other non stop and everyone happy to take the ball. We looked far more dangerous with Keena on the park so hopefully he's in from the start next week. Brilliant day out and a good buzz watching us again. Need to win next week. WE ARE FALKIRK

  38. Always said I'd wait till the first league game to judge the squad as the club had promised more signings on the way. f**k me we are woefully unprepared for this season. The Covid issues around today's game probably absolve the team of the scoreline but the fact we're going into the game without having signed a proper first team player since the beginning of July despite the obvious deficiencies in the squad is absolutely wild. What the f**k is Holt actually doing?!
