  1. So a simple request to sanitise your hands on entrance to your building and you are outraged ? Hope your not in the health or food industry. Do you ignore said protocols in hospitals etc ? Probably needs a sign in the toilet to tell you to wash your hands after a jobby.

  2. Very easy to forget where we were when Gordon Scott took over from Stewart Gilmour in July 2016: we'd just finished 6th in the second tier and Alex Rae was in charge. Gordon binned him within 8 weeks and appointed Jack Ross. It's been an upwards trajectory since then. Stubbs was, of course, a big error but that was quickly recognised and rectified. Parting company with Kearney was a shaky moment but, with hindsight, getting Goodie in when we did was a masterstroke.

  5. I thought it was fairly obvious from the post that he was pointing out the hypocrisy of those on here who took great pleasure in having a swipe at the Tories for using “offered the vaccine” numbers earlier in the pandemic, but who clearly won’t have the same dig for the same thing now with their beloved SNP. I have absolutely no issue with the SNP saying they’ve offered it to everyone so the target is met (although I do believe, like the Tories, they are partly responsible for the uptake numbers) as the only alternative is forced vaccination which gets a bit dodgy for me. However it’s definitely funny that nobody on here will mention the identical SNP and Tory stance, despite criticising the latter. OYF. Broken man.

  6. Have worked as a swimming teacher for the past 5 years, as part of my slowdown to retirement. Every year, just before the summer holidays, we run a water safety week whereby lessons consist of being taught about being safe around water, survival skills and rescue skills all at an appropriate level for age and ability. The children are encouraged to turn up wearing an old t-shirt and shorts on top of their swimming costumes. The look of alarm on their faces when they first let go of the side whilst wearing wet clothes is astounding. It is an experience that most of my generation will be familiar with from rescuing rubber bricks from the bottom of the school pool whilst wearing pyjamas. We also teach them to “fall” into the water then float on their backs for 30 seconds, shouting for help, before swimming back to the side. You could argue, and some parents do, that doing these skills in a swimming pool under controlled conditions is pointless. My opinion is that if someone suddenly finds themselves in that situation, any previous similar experiences can only be beneficial.

  7. Email gone round at work about people not sanitizing their hands when they come into the building. Get fucked. So where exactly does he say office ? Another absolutely gormless contribution from yourself.

  10. Nonsense, but if you want to go down that line to protect the SNP from criticism then crack on.

  11. Most of the fucking loonies stormed off in the huff and stopped paying in years ago, because they didn't like a strip, or they didn't get a personal visit from Gordon Scott over some trivial email, or they disagreed with a vote that won by 97%. Wouldn't worry about it too much.

  15. Absolutely incredible that face masks, which spectacularly failed to prevent a second or third wave, may be being kept in order to attempt to prevent a fourth. Whether we have a fourth wave or not, it will have absolutely nothing to do with whether or not people wear face coverings.

  22. Politics for All uses baiting headlines in their tweet, but they almost always provide a link to whatever their headline refers to (often an inews or Telegraph article) - so no biggie. Lumpimg folk who challenge or question the government on these things in with Hopkins and Fox is incredibly and deliberately disingenuous - and it’s actually a Tory wet dream to get folk dividing and turning on each other in such a way as you seem to be doing. It’s only people’s civil liberties at stake here of course. Everything stats wise is going in the right direction, and it’s quite something to see how annoyed people get at this because they’ve been shown to be consistently wrong during this whole carry on.

  24. I may be speaking as someone who has a phobia of open and deep water, but I always thought it was common knowledge to not go into it. There are so many hidden dangers - how deep it is, where it gets deep, currents, temperature etc. For all the talk about how local authorities could "do more" - which, by the way, is a vague bullshit criticism usually cast by people looking for someone else to blame - if people didn't fanny about in and around deep water they would still be alive.

  25. You're making some seriously impressive signings IMVHO. Toddy seems to have taken his form from the end of last season into this one. Who knew he was a goal scoring machine! Appreciate the offer but I am afraid I will decline.

  26. We played Hibs at Fir Park twice in the 2019/20 season and both times, including away fans, the attendance was less than 6,000 so it makes perfect sense to me. It would take a very special occasion for us to get those numbers in our own right I'm afraid. After a season of no crowds and giving fans their season tickets for free, I would probably say it would be financially negligent to potentially miss out on 2,000 ticket sales in case any day trippers want to come out of the woodwork. I'm fairly certain that every Motherwell fan who wants a ticket for the game on Sunday will get one.

  30. 44% of the Rangers squad for this game were not eligible / declared for Scotland. More proof the agenda behind Colts is ONLY to progress their own needs & any claims it would help the Scottish national team was false. Rightly rejected by the SPFL clubs, Lowland League clubs that voted for it should be ashamed. Sold out their fanbases for a handful of silver, hopefully lessons learned and they are binned for future seasons.

  32. Stuff like this was an inevitable consequence of councils having the power to determine COVID capacity while imposing and enforcing restrictions. Councils are never happier than when they're exercising some sort of power over people and businesses.

  33. Why does it have to be the school? Parents have a responsability to educate their children. Primary Schools are lucky if they get a four week block of 1hr once week swimming session in P6. Signage will have little impact especially on a buckie'd up 17 yr old acting the big man in front of his pals.

  36. I'm sorry but that's ridiculous for an adult ticket in the 3rd tier of Scottish football. If we don't start the season well, I can see that price hike being enough to put people off attending. I will certainly be picking and choosing games to attend rather than try to go to them all as I have done in previous seasons.

  37. Remember those Kilmarnock diddies we relegated and dispatched with ease in both play-off games - St Mirren won one more game than them last season and scored 6 fewer goals, ergo, we will pump this mob with ease as this is exactly the way football works every time.
