What? I have no idea who user FTID is and I have no involvement whatsoever in any board matters. Nor am I using social media to either attack or defend any of the parties who are. I know nothing about it other than what I've read on here. I give you my word of honour on that and will happily meet you in person to discuss it. The most "anti-board" person I know is Back Post Misses. I met him for the first time maybe a decade ago when he came along to a Bairnstrust meeting. The conversation turned to the BOD and I told him that I had no interest in boardroom matters and his eyebrows did a Mr Spock impersonation. My feelings haven't changed in the slightest. Of the current board, I obviously know and like Kieran Koszary because I've worked with and helped him in his Commercial role for a number of years. I have no relationship with any of the others. That applies to most of the BOD members whom I've encountered. The only exceptions are those BOD members whom I got to know because they were around the club on a daily basis. I have a lot of time for Ronnie Bateman and liked Margaret Lang as a human being, though I strongly disagreed with a number of decisions that were made during her tenure. Conversely, there are a few BOD people whom I disliked intensely because I saw both how they behaved and how their decisions affected staff members who were friends of mine. Though for obvious reasons I'm never going to name them or go into detail. Your allegation about me is both untrue and unfair, given that my name is known on here and I have no idea who you are. Will you explain it?

Absolutely pathetic. Say Brechin managed to get 200 home fans at a tenner a head, that's a fortnightly income of £2000. So if you knock off half of that just for the novelty of playing somewhere else, you're left with a grand to cover wages and expenses for the two games, travel to Dalbeattie/Berwick/Galashiels etc, hire of a training facility and so on. Even with a bit of sponsorship and some earnings from hospitality, how is it possible to run at anything other than a loss? Wasting limited time pursuing things which were always going to be an utterly embarrassing dead-end avenue is simply going to leave us in a situation where we're still faffing around a few weeks before the new season, still not sure what to do / where to train as we struggle to assemble a squad after every available semi-competent player has been signed up elsewhere. Finding a competent manager to sign such players in the first place would be a welcome priority.

Don't know if its been mentioned but Marcos Alonso and his grandad (also Marcos Alonso) are the first grandson/grandad combo to win the European Cup/CL. Grandad Alonso won 5 titles in the Real Madrid team of the 50s. Unfortunately the dad, another Marcos Alonso, didn't win the CL. While Tuchel absolutely bossed Guardiola, it wasn't a game that will live long in the memory. Another very forgettable final. Have to say I enjoyed it. It wasn't a thriller but never lacked for interest IMHO. Some outstanding individual performances albeit they weren't from attackers. Tuchel's tactics were spot on and Pep again overthought it (shat it) on the biggest of occasions.

An update. Obviously, as I’m posting on here, I did not go to a residential treatment facility but, instead, I’m doing a PHP (Partial Hospitalisation Programme”) which basically means I’m doing 6 hours a day of recovery work each day. Basically it’s like residential except I get to go home in the evening. I was also put in touch with a woman who does Reiki therapy and I’ve found that to be very helpful as well. Finally sorted on meds that seem to work: Mirtazapine to help me sleep, Lexapro for moods/depression and Naltrexone for cravings. Cautiously optimistic that I’m on a good path to recovery now, going to AA and Refuge Recovery meetings as well which does help me. Its been over 5 years since Montrose were in the play off final, you think Brechin would have raised this issue long before it impacting them if they really cared about Scottish football. The HL/LL line has been known about since before Montrose survived so Brechin have no legitimate grounds for requesting anything other than a place in the HL. Their signing policy has been rank rotten, moving to their rightful place of the HL offered them a fresh outlook on who to sign, that they've pissed it away in less than a week helps to explain why they will be a HL team for the foreseeable future.

Brechin were always going to be the scalp everyone wanted in the HL next season by now telling the clubs they don't want to even play in their league they've made themselves an even bigger target. FWIW, I think Cummings has really meshed with the dressing room, and now he has a chance to do what he's never really been able to do before - prove he's an effective striker in the Premiership. I personally very much want him to be here this season (not least because he's one of my favourite players in the game), and he's contracted for another season, so I think he'll still be here. It was a few months ago I called him dugmeat, when he was contributing to an awful standard of football within the starting eleven. I'm sure you said we're a better team without Adam in it? Not meaning this in an argumentative way, just pointing out that through the course of a season (of which over 50% was horrendous) things will be said. McPake corrected the mistakes that were clearly going to cost us promotion. Forster stopped playing after another howler at Arbroath where Cammy Kerr played in Central midfield. Jack Hamilton was replaced and this brought on our backline so much (the fans had been saying this for over two years). We began to play with natural width and Cummings bagged us goals. People had alot to moan about at one point but if you look through the last few months people were progressively seeing improvement. We had an absolutely brilliant end to the season and the play off performances were vintage, inspired by the Fintry Pirlo. There was little chunks of luck along the way such as McDaid staying after going on loan to Partick and the Raith offside goal. I think we more than deserve that as Dundee fans however. Everyone is currently fully behind McPake i'm sure and wishing him all the best in the top flight; with a few additions we can have a decent season. I think it's been a decent watch, more so in the first half. Tuchel has completely out-thought Guardiola for the third time in a few weeks. However, the referee has done a brilliant job of highlighting how many fouls are normally given in these sort of matches, by only giving the ones that are actually fouls. The players look baffled that their rolling around hasn't earned a free kick. For me, that sort of thing creates a disconnect.
