Interested to hear what people's threshold is for "celebrating" 1991. I love Motherwell nostalgia more than most but at the 20 year mark it moved from celebrating a defining moment to a bit of an embarrassment that we haven't won anything since. By 30 years, it's actively annoying me. We've been in lots of finals and true we've not had the luck to be against anyone other than OF teams in good form but I'm openly jealous of teams like us winning cups now. I'd be happy if we shut up about 91 until we win something else...16 points

From today 10,000 fans / 25% of ground capacity (whichever is lower) can attend stadiums in England. In Scotland that number is 500. Unless you present detailed plans to Clownshoes on how you will get people to and from the ground, implement outdoor one-way systems, keep your car park safe, keep people twice as far apart as they need to be in the pub before and after the game, and to wash their hands. Ridiculous nonsense, that simply cannot be justified. There is no scientific basis for these restrictions at all. None.16 points

That's my seat confirmed for Dumbarton v Edinburgh City on Thurs. Season ticket holders getting priority but taking names for a public sale too.12 points

Come on now, I realise his management career has made him unpopular among Falkirk fans but Paul Hartley was an excellent player and a long way from a sand dancer. First got capped when he was one of the best players in a very good Hearts team, scoring double figures from midfield two seasons running as they won the Scottish Cup and finished second ahead of Rangers. After moving to Celtic and being converted into a more defensive player he showed his worth as a holding midfielder too in a team that progressed to the knockout stages of the Champions League, marking prime Kaka out the game when they beat Milan, and was crucial to winning the title. He had some excellent performances for Scotland, with the win in Paris especially standing out. He was well worth his caps.12 points

Bit of a wild claim considering it was your own fan base that was doing the scrapping and generally being angry at anyone and anything. Bennett your fans couldn’t even handle winning the league.11 points

I think Scotgov are generally absolutely fucking clueless right now. If you look at the fact devi one of their advisors is constantly pivoting from position to position it certainly doesnt look like they are getting coherent advice. This is also reflected in the constantly changing reporting and posturing from Clownshoes etc. Gregor Smith basically sold this to me with the thread the other day, they genuinely dont know whats happening. Say what you will about the German initial vaccine roll out and the EU fucking about, but they’ve all grabbed the bull by the horns now and seem to be strategising for a return to normality. Given how keen they were to triumph how better they were than the EU etc previously they’ve got to accept the EU is schooling them now when it comes to exit strategy planning. Fucking pcr testing for vaccinated people? Masks in summer? No clarity on what the actual levels would need to be for a total exit etc, what a complete farce.11 points

This type of chatter when 67.8% of all adults have had at least one dose is incredible. Add in the fact that it is taking place one day after the latest easings and it's an absolute parody. I stand by my thoughts that these 'experts' should face severe penalties for peddling this ruinous pish. They, surely, are either acting maliciously, or are disastrously wrong. Either way they should be laughed out of their job, and confined to a loony bin.11 points

I think the most bizarre and remarkable thing about all this is that on most occasions there is an element of ‘goading’ involved between two sets of aggressors. A city to yourselves and still managed to turn it into day of the dead [emoji23]9 points

I’ll ask again. “What is it with Rangers fans?” Right from 1972 until this weekend, give them a reason to celebrate and they act like to angriest bunch of hoodlums on the planet. Because of the gap of 49 years it’s obviously not the same people, so this type of behaviour is getting passed down from generation to generation. Why? 1967 - Celtic win the European Cup in Lisbon - a celebration 1972 - Rangers win the ECWC in Barcelona - Rangers fans attack police on the pitch leading to loads of arrests. 1983 - Aberdeen win the ECWC in Gothenburg - a celebration with no Aberdeen fans arrested. 1987 - Dundee United get to two legged UEFA Cup Final with Gothenburg- a celebration at both legs home and away. 2003 - Celtic get to the UEFA Cup Final in Seville - a celebration with Celtic fans receiving a commendation from UEFA. 2008 - Rangers get to the UEFA Cup Final in Manchester - absolute carnage in Manchester with riots on the street. 2021 - Rangers stop Celtic getting to 10 in a row - carnage in Glasgow City Centre with Rangers fans disregarding every piece of advice given.9 points

If Gary thinks last night was in any way ugly I can't imagine how he's going to feel after a strong dose of Duffyball later this week.8 points

All those who thought it was doctored can line up to apologise. Difficult to see how Rangers can deny this now8 points

Conversation at work today that went like this: Colleague: Looks like another lockdown is inevitable with this new Indian variant. Me: Why? Nobody is dying and next to nobody hospitalised. Colleague: Aye but you never know with these new variants Me: So when will we learn to live with this and open up the country again? Colleague: Maybe never, you just dont know. I just walked away speechless. These c***s are the problem.7 points

I see that some Dumbarton fans are being asked to turn up between 5.45 pm and 6.10 pm for a 7.35 pm kick-off. No kiosks either. I also see that John Swinney is leading the coronavirus recovery. I hope he does a considerably better job that he's done with education; it's a disgrace he's been simply re-employed in a different role.7 points

Don't go on about affluency and genes when your hovel of an area slaps The Scheme all over national TV and has Marvin and Danya belting about. Bullets the best looking c**t in KIlmarnock. Never knew you had so many rich fans - certainly making the most of it. Filling a stand to 1/6th of it's capacity to annoy Rangers and using the lost revenue to plummet to the worst Scottish result in European history. Oh Dear. Thank you.7 points

This is why we needed that 'Bear on Bear' thread. I've no desire to read about events on the pitch during a successful season for Rangers.7 points

Wee update on Nicky Devlin for you lads. We're having our POTY awards tonight and he's won 3/3 POTY awards so far He's had a belter of a season after a shite injury ridden season before7 points

Politics forum for this pish please. This thread is solely for the discussion of police violence, sectarianism, Neil Diamond, Tik Tok editing and publicly sharting yourself after a few bevvies. Maybe some football too, but not too much.6 points

Don’t get me wrong, there’s not a chance in hell that Robbie Fowler is going to rock up at this clusterf*ck of a club, but it’s the sort of appointment I’d prefer to see us make this time round. It’s utterly depressing reading the same old washed-up names being touted for the job every time it becomes available, with absolutely no guarantees whatsoever that any of them will be a success given what they’ll be working under. We’ve went down the experienced and rookie path before, both have taken us on a journey into the abyss. I just want something a bit left-field this time. A name that if fu*k all else, will generate a bit of excitement for once.6 points

As harsh as it does sound, I'm delighted with that. He leaves with his reputation intact and without the ugly scenes at EEP that normally proceeds a manager getting the boot, a club legend. I'm very excited to see who we could get in, no rush.6 points

After losing to a Robbie Muirhead goal against a team that had Cameron Blues on for the full 90 100 minutes Airdrie should do the decent thing and liquidate themselves again. It's more than they deserve5 points

Ben Ledi was a good opener for me today. A few wee thigh burning bits but not too bad. The hill legs are back. You really miss that scenery and feeling of isolation (in a good way) when not heading up anywhere so it felt amazing being back in the great outdoors again. I'm sure I'll be a bit stiff tomorrow but it's well worth it.5 points

I actually don’t give a f**k about how rough Kilmarnock is/isn’t because at the end of the day, pretty much every town that size has the exact same issues so it’s a pointless argument to have. It does amaze me the amount of folk that genuinely still find ‘Bullet/Marvin/Scheme’ patter hilarious though, really odd behaviour to me. Thought the novelty would have worn off after about 10 years.5 points

I love Shay Logan. A superb player for us for most of his time at Pittodrie. I remember being worried to see him in the starting eleven in the Tynecastle semi final just a day after signing on loan. Needn’t have had any concern and he hit the ground running. Thank you Shay.5 points

Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is knowing not to put one in a fruit salad Knowledge is knowing that there is a Covid variant which spreads easily. Wisdom is knowing that vaccines are likely to kick it's arse and that it may not necessarily lead to hospitals being full of the dying. The scientists and the media seem to be full of knowledge. Not many of them have wisdom and that is the problem.5 points

Rangers starting line up yesterday included not a single player available for the Scotland national team. This is how many weeks after they actually won the league? All the games since then have been opportunities to see how their own young highly rated Scottish players fare up against full time pros. Every opportunity for them to play some of their young Scottish talent. Why didn’t they if they are so keen on developing talent for the good of the Scottish game? Actions speak louder than words.5 points
