  1. It's a clear offside as shown by this image here:

  2. Mad it's taken him 14 games to realise I just talk a load of 's --t' for 90 minutes. I thought I'd be found out far sooner than in my last game. Normally I'd be pretty upset and have my confidence dented by something like that. But given he usually comes across as a complete weapon on the group, I reckon I'll sleep soundly tonight. Thanks to everyone who defended us though! Tonight I had a nice message from Morgyn Neill and a nice message from James Wallace's maw about our commentary. That more than cancels out Graham Welsh.

  5. Always been a bigger chap but reached the biggest I've been at 19 stone at the start of this year. Today I completed my first 30 minutes non-stop run in the final week of the Couch to 5K app, was a struggle but was delighted to manage it and the first time I've ran for 30 minutes straight in my life. I'm slow which is a given with my size and fitness level as I only managed 2.65 miles / 4.2km over the half hour, but the most pleasing thing is that despite finding it hard I wasn't begging for the end and I've managed to run the last few minutes faster than the middle section. Two more runs for 30 minutes this week and I'll have completed the Couch to 5k app. I can't recommend the app enough, like others I was really worried and a bit embarrassed when the first 2 weeks I was absolutely gasping running 90 second bursts but amazed at how quickly you can build it up. Once I finish it I plan to stick to 3 runs a week, 2 half hour runs during the week where I hope to build up speed to do 5k in that time and then try running different places at the weekend and just run for as long as I feel I can without looking at clock or distance. Reading through this thread is inspiring and has helped me with this. I've lost half a stone so far and hope to keep that going too. I'd like to encourage anybody like me who'd like to get into running but is worried that if somebody at my fitness level can do this then you can too.

  6. Cases up, positivity rate stable, ICU numbers unchanged, hospital numbers down, no deaths. I wonder what the focus in the media will be.

  7. Obviously the linesman had a nuke with the offside but Dundee strolled that tonight which is no shame on ourselves. Many Rovers fans, myself included, have waxed lyrically about our team and how we've played at points this season but Adam showed why he's played at the highest level. Dundee's defence did well to limit us to opportunities and it showed that they had competent centre halves rather than untested teens along with Jack Hamilton in goals. McMullan caused issues for us throughout the game and both of McGhee's finishes were superb. You've hit form at the perfect point, the signings of Legdzins, Cummings, Fontaine and McMullan have all changed the dynamic of how the team play. For ourselves, it's been an outstanding season. Obviously Saturday is a write off barring an absolute miracle but there's so much to be positive about our club at the moment.

  10. We all see what you do on here. You have done it with the trans community, you have done it several times over race related issues, most recently spouting some shite about how wished Falkirk players wouldnt take a knee, you mentioned the social media blackout as something like "jumping on the bandwagon". Making you wee snide digs under the cowardly act of "Oh i'm just asking the question" etc. Quite simply, there are far too many instances of you posting like a barely veiled bigot for you to be anything other than a bigot.

  11. Agree with this. I voted yes in 2014 but it was a leap of faith/heart over head as the key economy questions weren't really answered properly. I will vote yes again but I don't think yes wins unless these questions are answered sufficiently. It's also not good enough to call those who vote no to protect their pensions etc shitebags and the like. Yes needs to win the argument properly.

  13. No doubts this is a time of massive change for this club. I would have chased you five years ago if you had suggested professionalism, but I moved past that. I think we agree, albeit reluctantly, that we would get swept aside by staying where we were. Shire and Berwick aren't coming back to SPFL 2 any time soon. Sure, some of the stuff now might be startling and, hopefully!!, revolutionary but if we're going down a new road, I'm happy to see that we're going to give it full biffter and aim high. I didn't want to give up amateur status to be another Clyde. Like many on here, I've lived through some spirit-crushing times as a Queen's Park fan. What I'm hoping is that we get through the challenging times and become a club that's noticed, and for a lot of good reasons. I was privileged to spend a bit of time talking to Simon Murray and his enthusiasm for the place and where he would like to go with us was almost frightening. It was infectious. I'll put up with some jingo if I see us move on at a fast but sustainable pace, and reinforce my pride at being a fan of this club. I believe we are in a fairly unique position, certainly for a wee team, in that we're well-funded and we have the makings of a decent infrastructure. That might all sound a bit happy-clappy, but I've had too many years of us being, let's face it, pretty pish and we just may have a chance to move on if we play it right. Let's pray for Willie Haughey 's continued good health and hope that the next Andrew Robertson is playing in the under 15s right now. Keep the Faith.

  14. I might have previously described Collin Quaner as a diving b*****d and sworn enemy of Ross-shire. What I actually meant to say is that he is a top bloke and is welcome to a free pint in The Mallard any time.

  17. All well and good, but unless the Yes side provide convincing plans over what's going to happen over currency and pensions, soft-Nos and aren't going to come over to Yes in large enough numbers. Poll numbers are good at the moment imo (50/50 is a good base to start campaigning from), bit with sound plans on financial issues, those numbers could only increase. We can't rely forever on having an absolute clownshoes PM and sociopathic Tory government forever. Indy needs to be won with a positive campaign on the benefits it will bring, not just on how shite the other lot are.

  24. Vaulks and Leahy. I was very high on Leahy in his last season and that goal against Hibs will be in my life as long as there is youtube. What a fucking hit son. Vaulks obviously ranks at 1 though. Professional, leader, good guy, first class shithouse, top notch talent and despite not being critical like Leahys, the absolute thundercunt of a strike he stuck in at Ibrox in 2015 will always be one of my favourite goals too.

  27. Reading between the lines, it seems unlikely that McKinnon said to Dempster, "Look, now that we've secured the initial aim of promotion, in order to allow the club to begin the long-term task of restructuring - which I understand will be aimed at delivering a new and innovative model in the Scottish game, rooted in your community and participation for all - I think I'll bugger off and let someone else take my job. Mibbe Falkirk will take me back, I see they're looking for a new manager."

  29. If the sacking of McKinnon (and the nonsensical statement which accompanied it) was the first piece of shite the Club had thrust on supporters in 2020/2021 I’d agree with you. But it isn’t. It follows: - The decision to offer Full Time contracts to players without notifying members. - The appointment of a CEO without any clarification on who she answers to or the production of a simple organisational chart. - The botching of the new stadium build and the subsequent lack of communication on the stalled building work. - The Tony Quinn farce (he has a job at the Club, but he isn’t currently doing it and no one knows what it is). - The establishment of a ‘Charitable Trust’ without clear goals or prior notification of members. - The point blank refusal to acknowledge the last game at Hampden Park, our home for the last 118 years. - Announcing the WRONG temporary home for the remainder of 2020/21 (and doing so less than fifteen minutes before the last game at Hampden). - Leann Dempster leaking news about next season’s playing arrangements to the press two weeks ago. There has been no further announcement from the club. - Committee members running about on the pitch after we won the league. Despite COVID restrictions still being in place and ‘normal’ fans being locked out of the grounds for a season. - The ruthless sacking of a title winning manager who looks set to be replaced by either Alan Stubbs (a bumbling idiot who can’t speak in full sentences) or Malky Mackay (a racist). Anything I’ve missed or should I just put my head in the sand and hope for the best?

  30. Someone posted here ages ago that that the greatest #scenes in football are that fraction of a second between a goal going in and an away stand full of fans going absolutely tits, filmed from the home end. Bests ones I've seen recently are Hearts taking the lead at Anfield and McPake's late equaliser at Tannadice. Glorious stuff.

  34. When push comes to shove the success and effectivness of the vaccines will have to be acknowledged, despite all the negative bullshit that has been spouted. Such as when folk are squawking about reintroducing measures in winter because of a few cases. Hospitals are ok. Shut up. Stay in tbe house if you want.

  40. No, St Peters are already on a 2 years plan, if there wasn’t enough team to form a league they’d need to go back amateur until they pass the ground criteria and then it reverts to would should be the normal process, pass the ground criteria and join the league. the div 4 is only here because of the conferences and the teams that sat out, it’s not a long term solution, although if clubs keep applying it could keep going

  43. Fair enough, everyone's income is different but a membership doesn't actually cost that much more than a season ticket and plenty of members over the years watched games from the North Enclosure. The vast majority are just supporters like everyone else who go home and away every week and I really wish more of our support over the years had become members in order to hold to account those who we elected from the membership to run the club for us. Perhaps we are heading for a different model now, we'll see. You're bang on though. Off the pitch this season has appeared shambolic....but if it's not and we're all getting the wrong end of the stick then the club can make this very simple to stop the constant speculation - communicate properly with the support ( their customers) and inform the membership of significant developments before it's drip fed to the media. I believe they think they can get away with this because we're not at games and Lesser is closed. Nobody to badger anyone in the social club or pay a visit to the office. The pandemic has been convenient for some but it's a nonsense excuse. We have the technology to hold online meetings. The coaches managed to do it with the players during lockdown. Most competent businesses and workplaces across the world have managed it, with dialogue between small or large groups. My workplace couldn't function without it. The world would have ground to a permanent halt otherwise. Anything else is just being lazy and disrespectful. Our media team have done their best but they can only share the info they receive from the club officials. Even an email, letter in the post or a club statement on the website is better than f**k all.
