  1. Quite impressive to finish 5th in a 2 horse race to be fair.

  2. The lack of coverage of what Stewart Petrie and Montrose have done over the last four and a half years is criminal. Petrie took over Montrose in December 2016 when they were Club 42 and had spent 21 consecutive seasons in the bottom division. At the end of that season he had them in the playoffs. The season after Montrose won the league, then into the League 1 playoffs at first time of asking. Last season they were in a playoff spot again when the season was called, and now in the last few weeks they have beaten Cove, Falkirk and Partick Thistle to make the League 1 playoffs again. In my mind that is a sensational four and a half years for an unfashionable, seaside town, from a club that John Collins would have nowhere near the SPFL. The only credit they get is from A View From The Terrace guys, and well done to them for that. Edit: Just to highlight the above, I’ve finished listening to last night’s Sportsound podcast and at the end Kenny McIntyre says “the big story in League 1 tonight is that Falkirk miss out on the playoffs.”.

  3. It'd be delicious to see the Greens body the Lib Dems down into fifth once again. Really open up a bit of a gap this time. Can anyone think of any other institution who've been humiliatingly pumped into 5th place this week?

  7. Nights like these just prove that Scottish football is unrivalled by any other form of entertainment going.

  8. Falkirk at the end of March, looking towards the Championship: Falkirk going in to April: Falkirk lose to Airdrie. Then Cove. Then Peterhead: Partick Thistle overtake Falkirk to win the league and seal it with a 5-0 pumping: Falkirk still have a shot at the playoffs though: Falkirk do not make the playoffs after defeats to Montrose and Airdrie:

  9. Just get a likeable team on the park again and make it enjoyable to go to the football again before anything else. It has been hellish watching us over the last four years with players who are faceless, cowardly or both. There are a thousand things we should (rightly) want changed at the club but for me the most fundamental is give me some entertainment on a Saturday, otherwise I'm so worn down watching a lot of generic plodders that I'll just go and watch eg Pollok in an entertaining game with my mates where I can get in for £6 and get a pint at half time. At our "best" in the last 3 or 4 years we have been unbelievably dull.

  10. Admitting you're well aware it posts shite but you were ok posting it to support your argument isn't a great look.

  11. Disturbed by the amount of support for a team coached by Barry Ferguson and Bob Malcolm

  14. What are Fraser and the LL playing at here, what on earth are they doing. Shafting every single club at level 6 and beyond. Player development my arse. If these Colt teams want to enter the Pyramid, try starting at the bottom of the WoS.

  16. I almost totally agree with you, except your use of the word unfair. In my opinion, the whole thing was as fair as it could have been. Thistle got relegated because we were bottom of the league. Simple as. So it wasnt unfair we got relegated. Unfortunate in the circumstances, but not unfair Same with the league stoppages and that. As a league 1 club, it was unfortunate for us, but again it was fair in that every team in the league were in the same boat. Even if us and Falkirk have higher expenditure, etc. This whole bleeding heart, grave injustice shtick the higher ups at Thistle have totally negates the fact we wouldnt have been in that position if we hadnt been an absolute carcrash of a football team for that season and the two prior. So aye, Thistle got the raw end of it and were totally unfortunate in how things have played out. But it was the fair thing to do given how far into the season we were. People just need to get over it and move onto next season in the Championship.

  17. If/when Rovers win, I honestly don't think I'll have any hard feelings. Despite a recent slump in form, they've absolutely smashed (possibly) everyone's expectations for this season. The two games against us so far at Stark's Park they've played some cracking football and some of the highlights I've caught in other games have surprised me. For me, Rovers have always been a bunch of hammer throwers but they've got away from that this year. Saying that though, if we somehow manage to sneak into the semi final there'll be no bedsheets left to write on because I'll have came over the whole fucking lot.

  18. Spot on with this btw, we’ve robbed montrose about 7 games in a row until last week. I’ve never been one to believe in “karma”, “destiny”, “fate”, a “god” or any of that shite before, but what justice that we didn’t scrape into the playoffs. Fully deserved and I am genuinely genuinely glad clubs like montrose are there in our place. Not even sure what point I’m making or where we as a club go from here but anyway

  26. At a loss for words to describe my current hatred for the club, however I’ll give it a good go. The club was relegated 2 years ago today and we were told by Ray Mckinnon we needed a 2 year plan to get us back to the premier league (LOL). However he was technically correct by saying we needed a 2 year plan. That plan should not have involved him as he slinked out the back door of the stadium. That plan then moved onto appointing 2 rookie and completely hopeless co-managers who hardly had a brain cell between them. Big Sexy and Big Herbalife was a complete joke. That setup at Raith away was enough to see them binned but nope... we cried about COVID, league reconstruction and anything that would hide the fact that we weren’t good enough to be top of the table. To this season, Partick gave us a 14 game head start in what turned out to be a 22 game season. You’d maybe think they pipped us to the post and to be fair that sometimes happens. But nope, what happened was we finished 5th in a part time league with an 8 point gap only a few weeks ago. Ultimately these issues aren’t solved easily and this story is far from over as a club unless there’s a serious change. That change has to start with the players going, a new chairman and some way to sort out the current joke of a board. I wasn’t in the camp that blamed Holt but no way can he now appoint our new manager and sit in the stand as DOF after overseeing this complete disaster. He has to go too! Solving this will take a monumental effort from fans to force the change.
