  1. I’ll qualify this by saying im not a royalist, ive no time for the concept of people being elevated above others a consequence of birth. See heres the thing though, the royals had the chance to score a massive PR boom in the midst of millenial culture by getting behind and supporting them, welcoming a non white person into the family etc (wouldnt bother me but im not a mouth foaming racist) would have broken down barriers in the british societal psychy at a time when arguably its needed. On Harry, hes actually the only one of the royals ive any time for, the british press (and possibly the duke) hounded and killed his mother then they forced him, a child, to march about london behind her coffin for what would have been the 1990’s version of social media clout/pr. The guy grew up a but messed up, the partying/being an arsehole/nazi stuff and then joined the army and screwed the nut to the point where people who’ve worked under him have commented that he was an exceptional infantry soldier who properly mucked in whilst in Afghan, again, his career ruined by the media. So he reaches out and creates a brilliant charity in the invictus games and helps break down the stigma of mental health. But still gets painted as a wrong un because he had the audacity to marry a lassie who was black and knocked back Piers Morgan when he asked her out. Whole thing absolutely reeks of institutional and media racism and the people being outraged by it all like Shilton and all the pinkest of gammon fuckers just really contributes to all that. All these folk having a go at a wee ginger guy who on the face of it appears to do quite a bit of good, yet ignoring his absolute wrong yin paedo Uncle who’s apparently the Queens favoruite. Get the whole family and theyre hingers on right in the sea.

  4. FFS...Really, just FFS. How any Falkirk fan can have any sympathy, tolerance or have anything remotely positive to say about the Govan plague absolutely beats me. Utter pond life, top to bottom. A disgrace to Scotland, actually, far too many times to recount, home and abroad; the only decision that needs to be made whenever they play anyone, "domestically or in Europe" is deciding whether its more amusing if (a) they get utterly humped and put back in their box, or (b) lose to a controversial last minute dodgy penalty and get all bitter about it. Either or, I'm happy. Yesterday's farce is not remotely surprising, neither is the fact there won't be the slightest repercussions for them. I absolutely meant it when I suggested dousing George Square in boiling oil yesterday.

  5. The police thing was always going to touch a nerve on here. We, as football fans, are fully aware of how disgusting Rangers and Celtic fans are in a big group, and we are also used to seeing the police standing on the other side of the road looking at the pavement while it happens. To be honest though, I can understand why the police do that at games. It's an hour each side of the match, get them in, get them out and by the time they are back on the buses they are somebody else's problem. Problem is, they applied the same logic yesterday when people had nowhere else to go and no incentive to leave. In fact, by not nipping it in the bud at the start they made it worse, they pretty much encouraged it to grow out of hand. The worst thing though, is they've shown the whole of Scotland what we as football fans have known for a long time, that if there are enough of you, you can do what you want, and the police will facilitate it.

  9. from the East Of Scotland website https://www.eosfl.com/ Joint statement East and West of Scotland Leagues The EoSFL and WoSFL have agreed a boundary for new member applications which is based upon local authority areas. Clubs in Stirling, Falkirk and West Lothian Council areas who wish to join the pyramid will be directed to apply to the EoSFL while clubs in North and South Lanarkshire and East Dunbartonshire will be directed to apply to the WoSFL. These local authority boundaries will not affect any club already in membership of either League. Once a Club is admitted to a League, any application to switch Leagues will not be entertained except with the prior approval of both Leagues.

  12. The fact is that anyone in central Scotland was aware that Rangers fans were planning a party when the title was confirmed. As others have said, it's not like 3,000 people descended at once, there was a slow but sure build up of fans and the polis did nothing. I don't accept this line that they let them gather outside because it stopped them gathering inside - did it f**k. Those who went out in groups to celebrate at Ibrox more than likely continued their celebrations together indoors, I certainly had more than a few midnight singers walking up and down my street last night. Do you think if we got 500 P&Bers to meet up on Glasgow Green this weekend and we told the polis we'd do it indoors if they didn't let us do it outdoors, they'd just let us fire in? Would they f**k. Organisers would be fined, attendees would be fined and the crowd would be dispersed pronto. The polis and SNP have sat back and watched this, pretended they had no idea it would happen and are now doing their usual finger pointing at big bad fitba. Absolute shitebags.

  16. Couple of points... 1) if some of my fellow old firm fans dislike folks' attitudes about us being "little more than pond life", maybe if some stopped acting like "pond life", that might help. 2) I have been listening to both old firm cubs talking for decades about fans behaviour needing to change and while some of the violence has thankfully gone, the sectarianism is blindingly obvious. I'm in my 60s. Don't talk to me about eradicating it overnight and work needing to be done. It was being talked about when I used to stand under the covered terracing in the days when Stein and then Parlane were banging the goals in, it was being talked about when the Centenary Stand was built and it's been talked about ever since. The police didn't cause the scenes over the weekend, and nor did the Scottish Government, the SNP, or the Club. Each and every one of the idiots who disgraced themselves over the weekend were responsible for their own actions and I will have no problem if the police take action as a result of social media posts and hand out fines. I'd like to think that any season ticket holders might face renewal sanctions as well, but as that would actually require action, as opposed to just words, I doubt it. The seats at Ibrox can be filled without the nutters. We have spent years desperately waiting to be at the top of the tree again. We are once again Champions. It's time the fans started acting like Champions. Let's leave the "pond life" behaviour to others. Have a good day folks - and here's hoping the fans and the team keep the heid in the European ties coming up.

  18. I dont think its even remotely fair of you to tell someone who we’ve no evidence to the contrary that they did or didnt feel something. Im sorry but your last sentence is absolutely out of order, plenty of people have been calm and smiled through on national tv. Heres a list of 38 people who’ve been ‘smiling on tv’ literally as their job and killed themselves. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/metro.co.uk/2019/03/24/38-people-died-suicide-finding-reality-tv-fame-stars-continue-mourn-mike-thalassitis-8996868/amp/ If you are not feeling well you need to go and speak to someone but you’re bang out of order having a go at someone, celeb/royal or whoever going through something bad is bang out of order. Have a look at breathing space https://breathingspace.scot ive used a similar scheme when I felt suicidal. I hope if you are feeling down you feel better soon.

  22. Loving the idea that the police force for the largest city in the country, that was scheduled to hold a climate change summit with huge potential for protests and demonstrations just can't do anything if a bunch of knuckle-dragging morons predictably decide to gather in the streets. Clearly the only thing to do is to chaperone them through the streets like an Orange walk! An absolute, full-blown minter for Police Scotland and by extension the SG who they report to.

  24. Daily Update: So a fortnight ago we got the published Roadmap. Certainly worth looking at the 2 weeks change from when I published figures 2 Mondays ago in advance of the announcement. This is fantastic movement virtually across the board. The only negativity is way down the board where Aberdeen & Dundee from low levels are having small surges. 28. Correct. The police's gormless insistence that 'but... we couldnae give fines to them all or we'd be still doing it now!' is a ridiculous case of missing the point. They should be breaking up the crowd first and then rounding up as many as they can for punishment later. You'd think that they were taking a cut from every fine by their insistence on patrolling park benches and train stations in case some wifey doesn't have an essential purpose for being there.

  29. It's quite the fairy tale, really. When the plucky Ibrox side were formed in 2012, few people predicted they'd reach such lofty heights. Sure there were stumbles on the way up the league structure, from (same old) Alloa, always cheating, to the humiliation at Fir Park, but they fought manfully against all the odds - and the 'deep state' SFA agenda - and I think we should all congratulate such a Roy of the Rovers success story. Well done Rangers, you now have the same number of league titles as Third Lanark, Kilmarnock or Motherwell.

  36. Easing restrictions should only be delayed if data supports it and the way things are going that shouldn't be the case, regardless of what happened at the weekend. Lockdown is a public health measure and should only be used as such. It shouldn't be seen by the government as some form of deterrent against "bad behaviour".
