  1. Imagine not winning the league every single season, and losing a few games at home. Truly, it'd reduce the best of us to tears live on the radio. What a nightmare to have to cope with.

  4. FT 1-2 Boom. What a result, what a team. Don’t really know what to say about this side anymore. We go into this week in patchy form. We have Dundee United away - a ground where we have an awful record and haven’t won at in eight years and Celtic away, a ground we haven’t won at in 31 years. I was thinking one point from those two games wouldn’t be a bad return. We go up to Tannadice and wallop United 5-1 and then we go to Parkhead and beat Celtic aswell. I mean, what can you say about that? It was another tactical masterclass from Jim. Team selection was spot on - reading the replies to the team news on social media is a good laugh. The wing back system was surprising but Celtic couldn’t deal with it. He got the subs spot on too. Bringing Obika on for MacPherson when we were getting pinned back was a bold, bold move. It worked fantastically. Jon’s physicality got us up the pitch and relieved the pressure on the back four. Player wise they were all fantastic again. Top performers for me were Shaughnessy at the back. A right captains performance, lost count of the amount of times he got in blocks and headers. Superb. Ethan Erhahon in midfield. How is this kid only 19? Fantastic again. He’ll play for Scotland one day. If there a better Scottish teenager playing in this league I haven’t seen him. Kristian Dennis was immense upfront aswell, constant running and took his goal superbly. I said we were all but safe after the win at tannnadice. We’re safe now, you can take that to the bank. Safe in January, my word. We are 6th with three games in hand on 7th, and seven of our next eight games are at home. Top six is very much ours to throw away. Absolutely delighted. The best Saints team Ive ever seen. Good to be a Buddie!

  5. Banjoing our way into the top 6 with 3 games in hand. What a fucking reaction we've had to last Sunday.

  7. One thing I cannot abide is the hypocrisy of social-media users. One minute they're all: "Be kind! You don't know what the person behind the Twitter account has been through!"; the next they make fun of your clothes and say you dress like a man who tarmacs driveways.

  8. Fcuk sake. Give Goodwin a chance to simply secure top 6 this season, then we’ll take it from there. Patience.

  9. Actually choked here. What a win and performance that was. I'll type more later. Fucking St Mirren, man.

  10. Clown shoes can absolutely go take a f**k to himself. There absolutely must be grounds for a legal challenge if they keep this pretence up and its clear the vaccines are effective, there has to be? This is total fearmongering pish.

  11. Never. Our win last month was our first ever against The Rangers. If you're talking about Rangers (1872) then it was the 08/09 season (beat Rangers in the league, Celtic in the Scottish Cup).

  12. If we can continue to vaccinate ourselves, we will soon be able to hold a charity concert, which will be of much more use to them.

  13. I know that sellik are a shadow of the team they were until recently but we absolutely deserve the praise we are getting after that performance and result. From the manager to every single one of the players who gave it their all and had the belief that if they did that they could get a result......please accept our thanks. Even Mrs Boo, who couldn't care less about football, was bouncing at the final whistle.....and not in the way i'd have preferred.

  15. StLieDown have just got rid of another Celtic manager. Amazing. 31 years. Seen a few pumpings there in the flash. Totally worth it for days like today, even though we arent there. Goody [emoji122][emoji122][emoji122][emoji7]

  16. That's the problem with being an agency worker, you've got very little rights. The snowman family come across as being entitled wanks.

  17. It looks as if I’ve had the last laugh. A lot of people didn’t think St. Mirren had it in them to be top 6. But what I say to those people is - look at me now.

  18. Was fifteen the last time we won there in the league. Turned 46 today. Cheers for the birthday gift saints it’s made my day

  21. Two losses out of 2 but we are playing away well in the middle of the board and just missing that wee bit of quality in the final third. We have a week now off to work on a few bits and pieces but the lads are confident in their ability and there's a great atmosphere around the place.

  24. More misery and fear, standard patter really. He's going to struggle when this is over and he is shoved into the background. Also, for a dentist, he's got a set of teeth like a St Mirren scarf.

  25. Jason Leitch can f**k off. An utterly depressing, sorry excuse of a human being. I genuinely think he enjoys making these comments.

  27. Leitch is such a fucking bellend. In America etc their scientists are largely talking up the prospect of being back to normal by the fall, yet here it is just dour, depressing 'let's wait and see because something bad might happen' rhetoric. Travelling within Europe this summer would make next to no fucking difference to the course of the pandemic with vaccines being rolled out and clear seasonal impacts on transmission.

  28. dunno if you get to experience it on the stream but big Aero very loud and great organising today, only times it went wrong was when Baird didn't listen and did the opposite of what he said. What a penalty from the boy too, smashed it.

  29. You presume totally wrong. Why would a full time club loan a player out and let him train part time and drop his fitness levels when he’s still getting a full time wage? Seriously, this everyone’s against us attitude is really old firm esque.

  30. The first was scored by Dennis, the second by Durmas! Great performance and I we fully merited the 3 points. Shat myself at the end when Duffy got that header but Jak Alnwick was well placed. Celtic didn't get much all afternoon and Jim got his tactics and subs spot on. This was no smash and grab and we didn't really come under much pressure bar the last 5 minutes and a wee 5 minutes before Obika came on. I know the stories will be about how shite Celtic are, how poor some of their players are and how badly coached they are under Lennon, and they are all these things but we deserve credit for the performance we put in today.

  34. Imagine we secure top 6 this season, even if we don’t, imagine we even secure a season without trouser-troubling relegation worries. Imagine we rack up some more wins along the way like today, and at Tannadice. Now imagine that no fans are allowed into games for the rest of this season. Next, imagine Goody makes a few decent summer singings. Then, it is announced that fans, in normal numbers, will be back for the first game of season 2021/22. The fixtures come out, and it’s St Mirren v anyone that isn’t an ugly sister, first game. Home or away. In decent weather, pristine pitch, after the life we’ve all had since March 2020. The atmosphere at that first game. It is going to be absolutely fcuking amazing. Mental. Really hope it’s Killie, at home. Spine tingling.

  35. Leitch massively overstretching what emergency powers are for. Seems to think getting our lives back is some sort of privilege we have to earn. Get fucked. Dangerous little b*****d

  36. Really enjoy it when McGlynn is in that sort of mood after a game. He has that certainty to his words and almost an air of confidence. Talks about us in really endearing terms and tbh I just love the man to fucking bits. Viva la John.

  37. Celtic have both the worst manager and the worst player in the league. An outstanding double achievement IMO.

  38. Fair fucks to St Mirren. It’ll probably get lost in the clamour to lambast Celtic, but that’s an excellent result and, by all accounts, well deserved.

  39. Very impressed by Jim Goodwin on Sportsound there. The guy spoke well and you can sense that the players enjoy working for him.

  41. I don't disagree with Kennedy as the man of the match, but Spencer has been excellent, particularly since we went ahead. He's been bossing the midfield in a way I wasn't sure he could in the Championship.
