  1. Ignoring the comedy way in which we relinquished three points, the officiating in that game was some of the worst I've seen in quite some time. Did he have a fucking 8-ball to make decisions? Both teams' players just looked constantly perplexed at the decisions being made, the ref was more out of his depth than the man in the home dugout, and that's saying something.

  2. 1. I know 2020 has been shite for a lot of people and I hope it gets better for you all. I had a great year. My daughter was born in March. I was off for 4 months which meant I was with my daughter everyday until late July. I now come home everyday to her smiles, tears & tantrums. 2.

  3. I have finished processing the entries and I've replied to everyone. If you submitted a team and haven't got a message back yet, let me know. By my count we've broken 100 entries for the first time since I started running the game. It feels like there are fewer Solo Shots and Deadly Duos than normal. We're also back to winning ways in terms of hilarity, with teams featuring the wrong amount of picks and one person who made two picks who're already dead (2013 and 2018). I'll post the teams and spreadsheet when I do the week's first update on Sunday.

  4. Was Ray in charge in February when we went to Stair Park, played horribly and dropped two points to a Stranraer side bottom of the table and with three league wins to their name? Or when we followed that up with our customary defeat at Broadwood? Or went to Starks Park petrified of a mediocre Raith Rovers and extremely fortunate to take a point? Improve on even one of these results and we would now be a Championship club. This myth that a global pandemic leading to the curtailment of the season has somehow cruelly denied us of our inevitable, rightful promotion is repeated ad nauseum on here with absolutely nothing whatsoever to back it up. An out-and-out falsehood.

  5. Rangers winning the league so easily this season is testament to Lennon's shortcomings as a manager. He's taken under 2 years to completely dismantle an excellent, utterly dominant side put together by Rodgers and returned Celtic to their levels of mid-90s chumpery. An utterly ridiculous appointment by Celtic biting them on the arse in hilarious fashion.

  8. People (in particular Lennon) are overstating the dominance of Celtic in that game. They started very well and dominated for 20 minutes or so through some high energy play. Once the game settled down they did nothing. McGregor made 1 excellent save from Griffiths and that was it. His save from Edouard was a standard save for a keeper at that level, and I can't remember him saving anything else apart from the offside effort. Listening to the pundits you'd think McGregor made a string of world class saves. In the 2nd half Celtic offered nothing before the sending off and would have probably get a 0-0 draw at best. Both teams were really poor.

  12. FTFY. It's always remarkable how self-styled professional operations like football clubs always get ridiculously sentimental about the most important post in their front room operations. Some haddy manager who was punted by Hibs was quite clearly not the best option out there and they should have considered all their options and upgraded when last season was called. Only football clubs ruthlessly punt players for being not good enough for millions of pounds at a time while gormlessly clinging on to clearly inferior manager because it would be unfair to pay them off. That popcorn teeth has been the one to blow what really should have been a permanent dominance of the Scottish game is nothing short of hilarious.

  17. Amongst the lolz at Lennon's catastrophic failure as a manager I'd forgotten that 'Broonie' will have his final season immortalised as a past-it chump who was part of the side that blew 10IAR. SUCH a shame

  19. McGregor has to be MOTM, right? Rangers pish for all except about 15 minutes in the second half and he saved the game in the first half. Celtic lost this game in the first half. You've got to come away with something if you dominate that much.

  24. 100% this. If there's a good manager who's interested and available get him in now. I'm generally pretty sanguine but this is clearly needing sorted asap. The only positive is that if we get our points back we're 7th. It's going to need someone to come in and be absolutely fucking brutal. If you've been making mistakes all season...get to f**k. If you've made absolutely zero impact on the team by now...get to f**k. None of this try to improve players - we need a bunch of legitimately good signings in the door, not only that we need folk in who are going to start setting some good fucking standards.

  32. A few years ago I started noticing that there were more and more fans who genuinely didn't seem to care about the result as long as it got them out the house for a couple of hours every other Saturday. "Ah well never mind always next week COYB expect the unexpected". Over the past couple of years I reckon the number of folk that fall into that category has kept rising.

  34. Reasonable form, coupled with the ineptitude of others put us top. We had the chance to put the tin lid on it in the last three weeks. Quite literally would have been in an almost insurmountable lead, 1 point from 9 later and we are grubbing about in what is beginning to look once again like a 3 or 4 way scrap we seem ill equipped to fight. It's a short length of time to be looking for guys to get sacked, equally, we dont look capable of better, it's a short season as we know and failure is a fucking catastrophe. I think we have to get rid.

  36. Charlie is a Dundee fan. He's an exceptionally strong affiliation with Rangers because they signed him from Dundee, gave him the world and put him on a stage where he has been able to set himself and his family up for life. He certainly didn't sign for Dundee because its his level.

  38. Celtic were the better team in the first half. We couldn't string two passes together and McGregor made two fantastic saves. Once we brought Hagi on I thought the game swung a bit more in our favour. Hagi seemed much more direct when he got on the ball. The red card is a stick on. Don't see any way they can complain about that. Duffy could have seen red as well. To win the game without registering a shot in target is just the cherry on the cake for me. ETA: was lovely to see Stan Petrov looking healthy as well doing the studio punditry.

  39. Hagi is a seriously under rated player. Aribo likes to work with contact, roll players, back himself physically, which is fine till he comes up against better players at that game like today. Roofe is similar. Hagi plays the majority of his game out of contact. The timing of his movements into pockets of space his opponent doesn't want to go into then his use of the ball when he gets in there is better than anything else Rangers have. Rangers really poor, but fair play to Gerrard, that change at half time changed the dynamic and helped Rangers get up the park second. Even before the sending off it was a far more even game.

  43. Thing is, see Pfizer and Astra Zeneca, making vaccines is what they do. Aye it might be a bit slow the now, but they are companies who know how to manufacture and make coin. I would put money on them just getting warmed up and getting themselves into full profit making swing way before the govt getting the capacity to dole them out. They also had no problem building entire "just in case hospitals" and having them stand empty under the guise of crisis planning. Get the fucking infrastructure sorted now. Not when AZ send you an email saying btw that's us churning out 2.5 millions doses per week, over to you. An absolute embarrassment and had better be the focus of Nicola Sturgeons lectures this week. The public are once again sacrificing everything they can, and every minute this goes on is a minute they need to be scrutinised for. Moreso once AZ starts in 2 days time.
