  1. Bit pissed but, f**k it. Today is a good day. Brexit, Trump, Five Star, Orban, Erdoğan, Bolsinaro, Boris fucking Johnson as a puppet for Faragism. A whole decade of slowly normalising abominable and loathsome Far Right ideology. Some of the absolute worstcunts on the planet have been celebrating over and over again, while decent human beings are tarred with being "snowflakes" or "virtue signallers" or whatever other bullshit people want to come up with to justify their own lack of compassion for anyone outside their own social/class/national/racial group. Many of these worstcunts are angry as f**k, and may well be for the next four years. Fucking good. Right up you, you racist c***s. Joe Biden might not be the greatest President of all time. He might not single-handedly erase inequality, racism and all that is wrong with the world. For now, though, he is a ray of light in a dark period. Fucking well done, Joe.

  2. Since we last qualified I've finished high school, lost my virginity, been to college and uni, had 2 kids, engaged to be married, had the snip, lived through a pandemic, worked numerous jobs, seen Dumbarton lift a league title, get to a national Cup final, play Hearts, Hibs, Dundee utd and Rangers in league duty, seen Scotland beat France home and away and still not qualify, seen the twin towers collapse, voted in a Scottish Independence referendum, leave the EU, Trump as Prez, and own a house. Fucking hell lads, just fucking qualify.

As my newly amputeed grandfather lay on his death bed in the military hospital in1943 dying from a combination of deep shrapnel wounds and gangrene, he said, "If this helps raise just one girls' profile on social media and help her get a few likes and shares, it will all have been worth it". 4. Thanks for your comments guys, they really are appreciated. I know that my enjoyment of the result was tempered by the knowledge that we had let some folk down, we are perfectionists and it hurts when things don't go to plan. Disappointed that some have escalated their complaint to Paypal which could result in us losing some credibility on that front but hopefully folk see what we are trying to do & accept some issues. The alternative is nothing.

  10. I share your disappointment, and I'm astounded that anyone has elevated this to PayPal. Whilst there were obviously issues, we received a broadcast of the full game and an Email of explanation from East Fife. IMO these folk need to take a good look at themselves.

  16. Agree with others re the refund. Great of East Fife to make the offer but I won’t be taking that up. Every penny a prisoner at the moment and is lower league clubs and fans need to stick together. Always going to be teething problems but the EF team worked to resolve it reasonably quickly.

  18. 1300 viewers for yesterday’s game. Obviously a lot of those would be season ticket holders but it is better than I expected tbh. You’d probably be looking at an attendance of around 1800 at the game in normal circumstances so it is a decent effort. Well done to all at RaithTV for the excellent service. When you see issues clubs like Inverness, Arbroath, Ayr and Partick Thistle have had as well as teething issues at a few other clubs we are very fortunate the club have produced a product which has been great from the very first showing. I think that it reflected in the numbers tuning in (winning convincingly most weeks obviously helps too!!).

  19. Gairich yesterday. Bit of a weird one as 80% of the walk is boggy shite but the actual hill itself is really enjoyable and has glorious views. Missed out on cloud inversion but could there was one over Loch Arkaig. Excellent day overall.

  23. Don’t really see this as a massive loss. He’s largely underachieved and I don’t think he’s really looked like he was up for it. Young Fin etc can get more game time and a decent wage freed up. Money we can spend on the Fat Grass.

  30. Why are we still arguing about this, seven matches into the season? Teams voted, league started, its meant to be a democracy so let’s get on with it, and hopefully the clubs can continue to challenge the Government on the right to use inside facilities etc! As far as I am aware, no one forced players to play this season. If any of them had genuine concerns, then surely would have spoken up. If their employers had issues with players playing, surely that is a discussion which will have been heard, Everyone agrees that these are not normal times to play. By a member of the shielding community and having family affected by this, I did not think it right for season to go ahead. But since it has, I now play my part within Musselburgh, trying to sure we deal with the situation as best we can and as much as possible, try to ensure we do everything within our power to ensure any player or committee member who walks through Olivebank gates, do so in the safest environment possible! We know the debacle that ended the season, with Kelty and Brora been given no possibility of promotion was wrong ( in our eyes). But this could not be forseen. It is a natural reaction for clubs to do what is best for themselves, and the ‘closed shop’ from tier 4 and above was unfortunate at best! But time is now to work from tier 5 downwards to try and progress this matter and see if/that can be changed. But have a look around you. With perhaps the exception of Linlithgow (?) most clubs in the East who transferred from the Juniors to East of Scotland, have made huge steps forward, bringing their clubs up to a far batter standard than 3 years ago. Kelty, Bonnyrigg and Bo’ness all promoted and their stadiums improved beyond comprehension 3 years ago. The rest of us, trying 5o emulate these clubs, knowing it will be years, if at all, before we get promoted, but it is great clubs, think it’s worth the risk! What is your answer with this one - as tiers 1-4 did not play fair with us, do you think it is best to go back cap in hand to the Juniors and say, sorry guys, we made a mistake and we want back in? Regressive to say the least! This has been utter shit for clubs at our level and below. But frankly it is shit all around, but you either sit down and do f-all, or since the season has begun, make the best of it! I thought clubs had a chance after a period of time, once season had started, to assess their position and see if they were right in what they did, or pull out. Is this not the case?

  33. If Jim McAllister hadn't slid into one of our DMs, Morton might've had a chance yesterday* *This joke doesn't work on two levels. Firstly, Armstrong is an attacking midfielder. Secondly, Morton never stood a goddamn chance playing like that, even if they'd had twelve men. But by Christ, can we get back to the game?

  37. It's for an onbepaald (unlimited) period of time, the card itself needs renewing every 10 years. Feels weird to have it as I've been here nearly 20 years but good old brexit meant that i had to get it. The authorities over here have been on the ball since the whole thing started, they contacted me initially and said we don't know what's happening with this brexit nonsense but hang tight when we have an understanding of the situation we'll contact you and let you know how to proceed, all very effectively and transparent, i did have to wait quite some time to have my biometrics done due to the Covid situation.

  39. The Ladykillers (1955) The apotheosis of the Ealing output, an absolutely wonderful ensemble cast play out the blackest of comedies. Peter Sellars "first real film" (as he put it), Katie Johnson's first film at the age of 76 and Alec Guinness just superb as the mastermind behind the robbery. Small roles for later Carry On stars Frankie Howerd and Kenneth Connor. Now then, not to be confused with the Coen brothers lamentable remake where Professor Marcus is turned into Colonel Sanders and Mrs Wilburforce into the big black mama from Tom and Jerry.

  41. Two home games played and to be honest 8-0 across the two games only flatters the opposition. We’ve been magnificent. I’m sure the red card helped a bit today but we were already 2-0 up and very dominant. Second half was a training exercise and even big Nando got in on the act. Delighted for him. Still hard to know how this season pans out and it can all change, we now play ICT-Pars-Ayr-Hearts which would probably have been the tip for the 4 of the top 5 alongside Dundee in September. But what a start we’ve had. Absolutely heartbreaking we aren’t there to see a genuinely likeable group of players murdering the opposition like this.
