Last day in my current job today! I've maybe oversold how much I disliked it but the conditions and changing work pattern have been really shitty at times, and it's in a call centre so you can imagine how far the pay goes in Edinburgh. Only 20 or so folk out of 120 in the office today, none of whom I'm particularly pally with, so no need to have an awkward night out or trip to the pub, I'm buying some cakes for folk at lunch time and pissing off at the end of my shift. Tomorrow I'm flying over to Spain to see my folks for the first time since February, booked the tickets two minutes after they changed the recommendations this week. I know some folk are still rightly sceptical about travelling, and I wouldn't be going if it wasn't my parents. But they're in the middle of nowhere so apart from maybe a meal out or two in the village, we'll be keeping ourselves to ourselves anyway. It's literally just the flight/airport experience I'm worried about. Anyway, 6 days of beautiful weather, walking and running, reading and sitting about the pool, and eating and drinking my weight while spending time with my parents (and maybe my uncle and a couple of their close friends) is a perfect way to chill out before starting a new job that I'm really excited about. Also my mum will definitely find the time to kick my arse at tennis, the woman's still like Serena Williams at 58.13 points

They said she was from Alloa when she wasn't, she lived in Stirling all her life, they put that because they went on a social media post from me and one from my stepson and created a story for online clicks. My location on my Twitter feed is Alloa but my kids live with my ex wife in Stirling. The location thing is relatively minor but it's the fact they rooted through her Facebook profile and took pictures from it, without for a second thinking of contacting us. Me and my family absolutely despise that newspaper and everything it stands for, the hurt and anger this has caused us is indescribable, at a time when we are still grieving the loss of our child. Absolute vermin, I have contacted them demanding someone speaks to me but not holding my breath, b*****ds.11 points

And games have to be played before August 8th, giving you 28 days to play the rest of the season. Meaning that to complete the season, players would have to play 2-3 games per week - without any training beforehand. SFA rules mean that you cannot play games on consecutive days, meaning that, if you want training, you get a maximum of 11 days training (plus rest), followed by an extremely punishing schedule of 8 games in 17 days. For Rangers and St Johnstone, that's 9 games and less training. That's a recipe for injury damage across the entire league - but what's a few cruciate ligaments if it's standing in the way of Hearts not being relegated, eh? Give it a fucking rest with the 'the league could be played' shit. Not even Heart of Midlothian football club believes that - they assented to ending the season (the Premiership wasn't ended by the disputed vote, but by an SPFL consultation and board meeting a month afterwards) and there is no mention of playing out the league in their petition. It is a dead argument, and you lost it long ago, just as you lost the league on the pitch. Hearts petition is all about reconstruction or compensation. Arguing about playing the rest of the league is as futile and pointless now as arguing about what would have happened had JFK not been assassinated or had Albert Kidd taken up badminton instead of fitba'. You lost. Get over it. Stop greetin'.9 points

If any club allowed players to take part in a game without their test results having come back, then they need to be punished and punished severely. This could jeopardise the start of the league, flies in the face of the significant accommodations already made for Football and much more importantly poses a genuine health risk to the nation at a time when we are driving steadily towards elimination. What a bunch of feckless fucking idiots.8 points

Does that mean there are negative positives ? Oh f*ck, the world is about to implode. Joking and sarcasm aside 8GTG, some of your better posts seem almost plausible but then you let yourself down massively over and over and over and over again with your blinkered obsession about completing a 38 game season that couldn't possibly be completed due to a global pandemic. You make out that it's a conspiracy against Hearts by the SPFL. It's a conspiracy against Hearts by all the other football clubs in Scotland. It's a conspiracy against Hearts by Nicola Sturgeon and the Scottish Government. It's a conspiracy by the fairies at the bottom of the garden, blah, blah, blah. Can't you understand that the season was ended abruptly because of circumstances beyond the control of Mankind ? At that point Hearts were 4 (FOUR) points adrift and f*cking shite. They do not deserve their place in the Premiership. Ann Budge (and her gangster pal The Conveyancer) have used the pandemic to shift responsibility for this onfield debacle from her to the rest of the world. And YOU, who comes over as a genuinely intelligent and passionate individual, have been CONNED !!!! Please think about this.7 points

The SFA can f**k right off with that glorified Betfred Cup shite. If they're concerned by the tight schedule so much then the logical response is just to ditch as many of the pointless byes and round skips as possible and throw all the teams in at the first stage instead. Twenty four teams emerging from two rounds of utter carnage to face eight Premiership sides would be acceptable. Better still, dump the lot of them in at Round 1, top the teams up to 128 with more jobbers and have a glorious free-for-all.7 points

I wouldn't worry, I don't think a poll on the facebook page of the Ayrshire Post is at all representative of government policy. Seriously, what good is following this news religiously doing you? You seem to be on here almost every day in a rage about stuff that people are saying or about stuff that hasn't even happened (like a second wave lockdown). Remove yourself from this, go out and breath some fresh air. Life doesn't need to be so stressful.7 points

I think this is genuinely the essence of our current situation. Ann Budge doesn't really 'get' relegation. This was brought home to me early on when she spoke of an injustice, in that Dundee United were getting rewarded having invested heavily in their team, whereas Hearts were not. She spoke as if the actual results of football matches were merely incidental. Obviously, had the season run for 38 games and finished with Hearts bottom, she'd not be pursuing legal challenges and the like - she's not stupid. However, I think she'd almost feel as she does now anyway. I think that to her, the fact that your income can suddenly be vastly reduced on account of having to play in a different division, is intrinsically unfair. It's that belief that is inspiring the fight. It's the pandemic that's allowing it.7 points

Lest we forget. Budge couldn't give a flying f**k about Scottish football, so why should Scottish football give a f**k about her? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/369997587 points

If the venomous lizard who runs Hearts had actually put forward that idea originally, there may have been enough sympathy for it to pass. I certainly would have accepted it had Clyde voted in favour. Instead, she launched a reconstruction group that didn't seek out the views of a number of clubs that she needed to back her plans. It was like she was oblivious to the fact there would be a vote. She came up with a 14-14-14 that would have caused considerable financial and competitive harm to three/four clubs whose league positions should not have attracted any such "punishment". She also showed considerable interest in the Colts/bribery idea; a proposal which was never going to pass, as anyone who had any contact with lower league clubs would have known. The 14-10-10-10 was then considered at a time when it was completely impractical to still be suggesting new reconstruction ideas. At that point, after her flagrant disrespect towards clubs throughout the country, she was rightly told to beat it. The way Ann Budge has played this game may have impressed her own team's supporters, but she alienated those who she should have been getting on side. She's had a nightmare.7 points

One of the worst posts I’ve ever seen written on this forum. When you consider it has posters such as Bennett, that’s quite the achievement.6 points

The testing will be to do with the technicalities of the stream, rather than coronavirus testing. For an authentic virtual away-end Celtic Park experience, you need to block out 1/3 of the screen and have a figure in yellow occasionally berating the viewer for not sitting in some nonexistent armchair, and those features aren't part of traditional internet streaming pipelines.6 points

Got to love the baller move here by us, just as the arbitration panel will be deciding whether it was too premature to finish the season we throw up some positive tests to show the infection is far from away.6 points

Asking for a discount or free food is an absolute red neck regardless of the circumstances. Fair enough if the business is advertising a discount, but beyond that no chance, particularly with small independent businesses.6 points

Self interest from Hearts is fine as every other club would do the same. All other clubs self interest epitomises the small-minded, backwards, disgusting thinking of the backwater that is Scottish football. We will forever be shite at football because of this disgusting selfishness.6 points

Professional sport was not allowed in Scotland until ay least 1st Aug. Potentially later at the time. By law. UEFA confirmed leagues need finished by 8th Aug. Multiple club chairman have gone on record to confirm that null and void wasn't an option because legally broadcasters WOULD have been entitled to ask for their money back. The club's simply could not risk that, particularly with the loss of income that was already set to happen at the time of voting. The idea put forward for reconstruction was absolutely fucking awful. Hence why the vast majority voted against it..it was not what was best for the game, it was the opposite. It was simply a keep Hearts up at the expense of the rest of the clubs. It's been explained. Many fucking times.6 points
