  1. You see the problem with that is this as you haven't read the many, many pages of this thread.... A resolution was put to the clubs Resolution was from the board (made up of club reps from Prem to League 2) The board toolk soundings prior to making this resolution from clubs All clubs had a vote An extremely large number voted for the resolution (81%) A very small number voted against it (19%) If the voting structure was across all clubs rather than Prem, Champ and then League 1& 2, Dundee's vote would have been irrelevant (It isn't and it wasn't). Votes to be in by Friday was a request only, clubs had the balance.of the legally mandated 28 days to vote SPFL screwed up by having a "no" option as only "Yes" votes count. Obviously done to make sure everyone voted. Dundee were knobbled. Why? Why Dundee, why not one of the other no voting clubs? Dundee's vote was in a spam folder it's a conspiracy. It wasn't it was caught by a much more complicated system. It's very common. Aberdeen told not to vote. Not correct,. confirmed by SPFL and McCormack that Aberdeen were told it didn't matter if they voted as by that time the number of "yes" votes for premiership clubs had been reached. If Aberdeen voted "no" it couldn't change anything, "yes" would simply have been confirming what was already known. Hearts, Partick & Stranraer aren't the only clubs affected. Approx 16 clubs (someone will correct me), lost out on potential playoff places. Brechin have been saved! From a playoff as were another approx 7 clubs from potential relegation playoffs. Disgraceful Raith Rovers have been promoted, it's such a shame on Kelty Hearts. Kelty who were 6pts. ahead of Bonnyrigg who had a game in hand & 5 games to go. Consistency is important. Clubs could have done the right thing by voting for reconstruction! Problem was behind the headline grabbing 14-10-10-10 it was shit and could have damaged more clubs. Budge needed to listen to other clubs and take onboard their thoughts. If so reconstruction could have gone ahead. Hearts, ICT & Rangers tried to have league voided. Confirmed by 6 Championship clubs & since then BBC source Gardiner has been very quiet. This lost Budge goodwill. Clubs are voting with self interest. So are Hearts , Partick & Stranraer. Allowing Champions is because Hearts have shat it big style knowing they'd have Celtic (and the power behind the throne Lawell ) on their case. We aren't allowed to play football yet by Scot Government. UEFA has a deadline of August 3rd(I think it is) for leagues ranked below 16th. SPFL is one of those. We couldn't finish leagues, see N.I. Countless leagues have finished the same way as us, France, Belgium, N.I., English League 1 & 2. This isn't unique to us. That should have you caught up. It's not a Doncaster the Great & Powerful's doing. Very difficult situation, where no matter what was done, harm would have been done to clubs. This was trying to do the minimum amount of harm possible to the least number of clubs possible. Democratic votes, could have all been voted down if so poor. Far too many clubs & Doncaster have been involved to be one person's fault. Budge though has played a blinder in having the support completely overlooking the poor play last season and the.dreadful performances this season. Your all caught up now and shouldn't need to.go over anymore debunked ideas. Thanks

  2. You weren't getting reinstated either way. At the start I dare say a lot of fans, while laughing at Hearts' predicament, probably did have a soupcon of sympathy for the "it's no' fair" mantra. Now I'd say most of us don't give a f***, and if you never appear in the top flight again we won't care. Basically, you can take your maroon pound and stick it up your arse.

  3. They don't think they should be punished unfairly because of the pandemic. They think Dundee United should be punished unfairly because of the pandemic.

  4. And there it is. As a Falkirk fan, I'm disappointed about how things ended up but it is what it is. If Falkirk had their shit together earlier in the season, they would've been going up instead of Raith. But they didn't and they aren't. Hey ho, them's the breaks. Let's get some perspective. Hundreds of thousands of people are dying. Many more will. Many others face an uncertain financial future, many businesses will never re-open, or survive long if they do. This is the biggest global tragedy to have happened in any of our lifetimes. And yet we see people who claim to be football fans actively wishing other teams to go out of business, and scheming to try and make that happen. If you're one of them, seriously...take a good long look at yourself. This applies whether you support Falkirk, Hearts, Sevco or anyone else. Hearts didn't get the job done on the pitch - they're going down. Falkirk didn't get the job done on the pitch - they're staying down. And that's all there is to it.

  5. This ^^^^^ Aberdeen for example were only one point behind Motherwell, they therefore gave up on a potential £250k prize money, or if you've got a Farce of Midlothian mindset £600k for missing out on 2nd. (Make no bones about it, we need all the money we can get)! Livi, St Johnstone, Hibs and Kilmarnock all gave up on prize money and possible European football. That pattern of teams potentially losing out, is repeated throughout the leagues, but to hear some people, you'd think they all made their decisions to end the leagues (not out of necessity) but out of greed, avarice and malice. The way they tell it, you'd think Hearts bear the stigmata, but the reality is, they were just shyte at football. But as our Lord and Saviour famously said atop the 'Hill of Broad'... GET DOON AND BIDE DOON! Yours, here endeth the lesson. aDONis

  7. You are right, you win.... We could have played to a finish allowing Hearts the chance to save themselves , and indeed it is actually all a big conspiracy. The reason it was decided to end the season early, and in the process relegate Hearts, was nothing to do with a global pandemic which is currently in the process of killing hundreds of thousands of people worldwide, and which only now, after months of lockdown, are we finally getting on top of. The season was ended early because everybody fucking hates Hearts, and this was as good an opportunity as any to f**k you right over. Happy?

  9. I'd be more keen to see them pay the costs of United, Rovers and Cove. After all they have been dragged into this without doing anything wrong. I get the reasoning put forward, but that's basically the risks Hearts/Partick took going down the route they have.

  11. And the alternatives? Pay out the cash based on positions as they stood ? St Johnstone could have argued that they only needed one match to overhaul Hibs position etc etc etc all the way down - frankly I think we would still have been arguing. And even if we had decided on that particular shitfest, which clubs would be in the pot for next seasons fixtures, would we again be asking if Hearts should be relegated? Given that................despite your valiant efforts, playing professional sport is currently not allowed and might be back for the beginning of August, how could fixtures be determined for the new - more lucrative - Sky deal without Premiership fixtures? No being funny mate, but you need to stop believing in Unicorns. Doncaster and the SPFL board have not handled this fantastically, but tbf they were handed a large and dribbly jobby at the beginning of the pandemic and I am unclear that any of the "solutions" put forward would have us in a better place. If you dont have cogent arguments, you might as well log back on to JKB.

  12. Neil Doncaster and the SPFL executive were under immense pressure to give clubs access to funding as early as possible (The SPFL executive's job is to enact the will of the clubs). The resolution was put forward as the optimal way of allowing clubs access to funds, preserving the new sky deal and giving clubs some short term clarity on how to run their business. I'm sure mistakes were made along the way, something funny went on with Dundee (not necessarily wrongdoing, but it is certainly bizarre) and you won't hear me saying the SPFL are a benchmark of competence, but no informed person looks back now and says the decision to call the leagues was the wrong one. I'm not sure Hearts argument is even that the league season shouldn't have been ended, just that they don't want relegation to be a part of it.

  14. I think this is where the problem lies where people are taking what is said on kickback or twitter as gospel for the whole Hearts support. Absolutely no chance are the vast majority of people on kickback and twitter seriously wanting clubs to go to the wall, it's all for a reaction. Going by this thread it does seem to have worked tbf. I'll happily spraff off some shite on here about how we're going to win millions from the SPFL and how the rest of Scottish football can crumble for all I care, when in reality and I'm chatting to pals that support Hearts or whoever else, the majority just want football to be back regardless of which league we're in. Even all of this chat about boycotting away games etc, I'll be fairly surprised if it comes to fruition in any real scale, I'm hardly going to turn down a game on my doorstep in Dundee after 6 months of no football because of a Rangers-esque boycott. Still looking forward to a hostile reception though, absolutely would not have it any other way.

  15. Some Falkirk fans are becoming more and more shrill and irrational about this. Jamboesque in fact. I am more sanguine about this, PPG meant we missed out which was our own fault for not being good enough. Just like your lot. It's an absolute hoor to be stuck in that wasteland for another year but I fear we must accept it.

  17. The Scottish Government are only just allowing contact training. UEFA require Scotland's representatives by the end of this month. Football will not kick off until at least 1 August. This is not the EPL with its bottomless pit of monies. It's also a sad reality that the UK government wanted the EPL back to distract the masses from the crisis. Does your single brain cell not compute that the leagues could not be finished?

  19. Aye you are right - stopping professional football was an SPFL / SFA decision, indeed we are back playing now.........................or, in the real world perhaps you can let us know when these matches will take place? The 8 league games Hearts were going to win, and the playoffs? Even an arsehole can see that - with hindsight - the decisions to halt football were correct, and we still do not have a confirmed start date again, only a pencilled in August ko. Apart from that, your argument is entirely valid.

  21. Lewis Capaldi is the epitome to me of this "whit ma like" culture that seems to have crept in over the last couple of years. It is some hybrid of Fiat 500 Twitter, Gemma Collins and stereotypically Glasgow ned interests. For example, deifying McDonalds, going on about how much you drink (extra points if in "Spoons"), memes about getting out of bed at 8:58am when you've got a conference call at 9, wearing your "jammies" all day, listening to GBX. It tends to be middle class types who either live in their parents' five bed house in Dullatur if they're under 25, having 20 of their pals round into the conservatory to drink MD or Dragon Soop before they go to Sugar Cube or Kushion on a Saturday, or couples who live in Newton Mearns with the man working offshore if they're a bit older. It's essentially cultural appropriation of working class stereotypes to try and look "funny" or "mental". Capaldi ticks just about every box of this with his online presence and is pandered to for this behaviour by the Red Tops or "Glasgow Live". Well off middle class folk glamourising the scheme lifestyle is a far wider phenomenon but Lewis Capaldi encapsulates it quite neatly for me.

  28. The reason Falkirk are in this shit heap of a league again next season is due to repeated failures by owners, board and managers of Falkirk over a period of years.

  29. Apologies. The guy in charge of rolling out the red carpet and dispensing chilled Sancerre is on furlough at the moment. As soon as the lockdown is lifted we’ll get cracking on the welcoming committee. Why are Hearts fans so insistent that Doncaster is to blame? He put the resolution to a vote, and it was voted through by the majority of clubs, including Hearts! He and the board have only acted on the decisions of and in the best interests of all forty-two clubs, but because HoM have some siege mentality they think they’re being hard done by. If you’re so desperate for someone to blame maybe point the finger at “successful businesswoman” Ann Budge, who hired Levein as manager, let him spunk the third biggest bill in Scottish football on wasters, journeymen, and drama queens and then kept him in post while they played rank rotten? Then, when she finally realised he was useless, replaced him with Stendel, who wasn’t much better. Due to poor management, your team pissed 8.5Million of Anderson’s money up the wall and managed to win four games all season. She managed to cock up building a new stand so spectacularly, and even managed to make sure her brother made a profit from it. Any other club doing that would be baying for blood, and yet your ragtag maroon army of self pitying moonhowlers are so blitheringly oblivious that Budge has you believing she’s doing a great job. Using the argument for ‘strength of feeling’ won’t win you too much favour here either. Supporting a club is one thing, but some of the comments from Hearts fans making direct threats to fans, players and management of clubs who voted against reconstruction (because the proposed ideas were sh*te; not because of some anti-jambo conspiracy) is unjustifiable. I feel strongly about lots of things, but it doesn’t give me the excuse to be an ars*hole to everyone else because I have such strong feelings, nor does it make whatever I’m saying right! Your last paragraph is the most sensible thing you’ve said since joining, and I agree. These divisions are going to take a lot of healing, but until Hearts as a club and as a fanbase accept that there’s no blame to apportion and that the rest of Scottish Football did nothing wrong then I’m afraid they’ll always end up as a bit of a pariah...not so dissimilar to Sevco.

  30. Not a fan of his music at all, but the guy is in his early 20s, from a working class background in Scotland, selling millions of records, putting up daft videos/patter on social media, and seemingly being a dick to no-one (have heard zero reports of him being a fanny and I don’t think scranning a Big Mac in Forfar and posing for a photo with staff counts). Quite why there’s 8 pages worth of lower league Scottish football fans trying to out-do each other in sneery posts I’m not sure. It does reek of a high proportion being VLs though IMO.

  32. So let me see if I understand, From Hearts it’s about unfairness that they have suffered, in isolation to any other “unfairness” suffered by anyone else, because they’re, like, y’know, Hearts, y’know, big club, y’know, won WWI on their own, y’know and they’ve been the only club whose staff have suffered and who have lost munny because the pandemic is out to get them personally, y’know? Or are they just whiny little brats who are having a tantrum?

  34. If Falkirk has scored 1 more goal in a game that mattered throughout the course of the season, they’d be looking forward to a return to the Championship, not be giving a flying f**k about what Rovers fans would be saying, and would be adopting the exact same approach as you all quite rightly are now. Enjoy!

  39. That's it. Yesterday was a nice bit of closure with a bit more depth about his departure. He's walked out on this young squad. He's entitled to do that but he's moved on so we should do the same. No man is bigger than the club. I don't know what's going on behind the scenes but just because he couldn't get on with KR doesn't mean she's doing the wrong things. The acid test of that though will be these next few weeks. This isn't January, we don't need to get players off the books. Part of her job is to deliver the players the new manager wants and she'll be judged on that alone.
