  2. Maybe hearts rested some of their better minds for this one with one eye on the calendar but are totally going to become the legal equivalent of Barca in the future????!

  4. I think no matter the resolution now, Hearts need kicked out the league. Not really out of any sporting merit or out of fairness, just because it would be incredibly funny and we could all do with a right good laugh this year.

  7. Those Hearts fans on JKB are fucking hoot. The sort of folk who could get all their teeth knocked out and claim it as a win cos now they'll get to eat more soup.

  11. We will get out of the relegation places -> They did not get out of the relegation places. We will beat St Mirren and get out of the bottom of the league -> They did not beat St Mirren and get off bottom spot The remaining games will be played at a later date -> The remaining games aren't to be played. The league won't be called -> The league was called. Hearts won't be relegated -> Hearts were relegated. Reconstruction #1 will happen -> Reconstruction #1 didn't happen Reconstruction #2 will happen -> Reconstruction #2 didn't happen The court will rule that the full case can go ahead -> The court didn't rule the case can go ahead. Any Hearts fan still arguing any point what so ever is effectively punch drunk after making so many bad predictions, all of which have failed to come to pass.

  13. Of course its not fair but given clubs voted against reconstruction there is no other option and in these circumstances there is a degree of sympathy for clubs being relegated. However, what Hearts and Thistle are doing is trying to save themselves by holding a gun to the rest of Scottish football and Partick Thistle who haven't won a game in 2020 have a brass neck trying to penalise Dundee United 14 point clear in the division. Hearts also tried to hatch a plan with Rangers and Inverness to null and void the season, again penalising the teams who actually performed well. Budge's false care for Scottish football with reconstruction was seen right through especially by a lot of the smaller clubs if Budge had her way from comments a year before would have been obliterated. One of the many reason goodwill has been in short supply.

  16. Loving the idea that it is some sort of success to spend a fortune on your own (and the SPFL's) legal fees only to end up with an outcome that you could have had straight away.

  18. The only thing Lord Clark has done so far is say he cannot legally dismiss the case. From what I’m hearing I’d say it’s going to court ordered arbitration as detailed in the SFA Articles of Association which have been judged as incorporated in the SPFL rules , and the decision from that will be legally binding. He has acknowledged it is for the tribunal to hear the arguments and make a determination based on the arguments, not the courts. This will be concluded at the earliest opportunity, and then we can put this whole sorry saga behind us, and hopefully punish Hearts and Partick Thistle to the fullest extent for the breach of rules for failing to go to arbitration in the first place.

  19. The mask thing is being politicised both here and in the states. It's masks = Nationalist / Democrat v no masks = Unionist / Republican. It's totally fucking unbelievable but unfortunately a sad indictment of where we are today that a simple public health measure is being blown out of all proportion. It is beyond dispute they do more good than harm no matter how small that good may be depending on who's expert you believe. It no hardship and also gives comfort to millions who have underlying issues who are genuinely concerned of the consequences if they catch this. The "I'm alright Jack's " that think those people should just vegetate at home for X years until we get a virus need to take a long hard look at themselves. Everyone deserves a life and shielding is no life. If it requires masks to get those people back to a modicum of normality then it's a tiny tiny sacrifice that we can all help with.

  22. As has been noted, anyone who still insists that the league(s) can still be played to a finish is at it or incredibly thick. Either way, they deserve zero credence and should be roundly ignored.

  30. To add to this. If the court decided to dismiss the case then Hearts and Thistle could then appeal to a higher court without any judgment on the case. The appeals of whether to even get the case heard could take a while depending on the courts schedule. The judge sidestepped this and wants to have a resolution for the case in as short a time as possible so people can move on with a firm legal decision. The SPFL essentially won. The case is moved to arbitration with the SFA as the arbitration body.

  33. Hearts ready to take on the SPFL. Hearts after the first reconstruction attempt failed. Then after their second reconstruction attempt to avoid relegation failed. Still not giving up and Hearts after they failed in their court case. Hearts after everything has failed, shouting to the SPFL "come back you cowards, i'm not done yet".

  36. Yeah, arbitration panel isn't going to set aside relegation. It may consider a level of financial compensation appropriate but the sums being claimed are ridiculous (For £2m I imagine we'd happily volunteer to be relegated!). There's a reason why Hearts didn't head to arbitration first (which would have been cheaper). They wanted a court to set aside relegation. They refused.

  38. The SPFL should call a 'Team 12' then troll the f**k out of Hearts by giving team 12 a New Year derby with St Johnstone.

  39. Long story short; the lawyers knew there wasn’t a serious case but happily took the money being offered. The courts look at the detail for a couple of days, realised it was a lot of nonsense and told them to go and deal with it yourselves. Somehow a bigger waste of money than hiring Neilson or Craig Gordon’s ghost.
