  1. So where is this example of the "weegie media" getting desperate. Got to say, classy introduction of child abuse into the subject. While clearly an issue worthy of debate, using it to score points in this manner is pretty low brow content.

  2. You don't seem to like the public much. Are you sure you're in the right job? He works in retail. Anyone who still "likes" the public after even a short stint in that sector either isn't public-facing, or is heavily medicated. I'm occasionally jealous of 7-11 counter jockeys who have sawn-off shotguns under the counter.

  3. You know what would be funny, if McClaren attempted a Dundee accent in his interview!

  5. "Guys, can you take a pay cut to see us through the next 3 months?" - Dundee FC. "Guys, can you collect your stuff and go. We know you have families to feed but we have absolutely no money and Paul Watson, our new signing needs a locker" - Dunfermline Athletic.

  6. Yeah this. Steve McClaren, in terms of CV, would comfortably be the best manager in the country.

  9. This rowies/butteries discussion is fine but if Malky ends up as United manager I'd suggest steering the conversation away from the nomenclature of various takeaway foods.

  10. Not saying I'd love United to appoint the fat grass just to see the tears from St Johnstone fans, but RG is a good example if that were the case. Absolutely convinced himself it'll not happen. Even if it doesn't happen, it's clear this has kept you up at night my man.

  12. McClaren has a LOT of failures on his CV, but no-one else in Scotland's CV stacks up anywhere near his. The worry would be that he's not lasted longer than a full season in 10 year and ultimately, he's not been successful in about the same time span, but that's the only reason a club like United can even tempt him. In any case, if I were an Arab, I'd be ignoring that, sitting back and laughing that we'd just appointed someone of his calibre when being linked to the likes of Malky. Absolutely quality coach and I hope he fucks it up big time. Fair play.

  13. Compensation for that diddy Neilson, a coach with a good pedigree who has contacts at the very top of the game and has managed at the highest level in, and Safranko joining next week...

  14. Absolutely stinking patter. Trying to connect Hearts relegation legal fight with the abuse of children. I get that you are an alias who is just on here for "the bantz" but you really should take a look at yourself.

  16. I'm seeing quite a lot of folk who are gathering in peoples houses, cuddling babies that aren't theirs, hugging their pals & just doing whatever they want ignoring all the lock down advice. quite sad to see to be honest. I've a new born and two sets of grandparents who are desperate to hold their grand wean. I've stuck to the advice and I see all these folk doing whatever they want.

  17. I tend to think at times we overreact to many things in society these days, and are very quick to judge. People can say bad things in the heat of the moment that are outwith their normal character, and should be able to see the error of their ways and not have it cast up for the rest of their lives if they genuinely act with remorse afterwards. But in this case, it would appear that Mackay's wasn't an isolated outburst in a fit of emotion. Regular racist and bigoted messages, thinking they're clever and funny, especially when you're in a position of responsibility and are a bit of a role model for many, goes way beyond what is acceptable. The fact is that a drunken brain dead supporter can shout an abusive comment and be charged by the police, shamed in the national press, quite possibly lose their job and be banned from the ground for life. Yet a coach can do it regularly by text to colleagues, and end up in one of the key jobs in football in Scotland on quarter of a million pounds a year. It's a national embarrasment that he was ever given that job. It's not as if he was even a standout candidate, it was almost a f**k you we'll do what we like appointment. At the start of every match we get read out an insulting statement about how we're not allowed to do certain things such as use racist, sexist or homophobic language, shite on the staircases etc, which we just sit and tolerate every week (the statement). Can you imagine if you went to the cinema or a concert or theatre or whatever and were read a statement telling you not to be racist, sexist, homophobic etc. For the vast majority outwith OF fans it's fucking ridiculous and insulting that we have to put up with it. Yet the very c***s telling us how we should behave like normal civilised human beings are the ones who would hire absolutely anyone, regardless of their morals, or past words and deeds. I have no idea why Utd would even consider hiring him.

  20. Get a few bags of sand from Jewson's and sprinkle them around the living room until it's a couple of feet deep. Bring in the deck chairs and hook yourself up with a Sidney Sheldon book. Replace the light bulb with an industrial strength arc light and turn the central heating up to Chernobyl level. Wear your fitba shirt the whole time to make sure you get that lovely full sleeve tan. Hang a kipper at the open window so you get the sea breezes and boil up some whelks in the kitchen. Have Mrs Tynie make you a shitty full English for breakfast when you get up at noon, then watch Eastenders followed by Watford v Norwich via satellite. Drink lager until you're falling down fighting drunk and scream at the kids that if they don't stop bothering you, this will be the last holiday you'll take them on. Memories to last a lifetime.

  27. One of my fiancé’s pals was ranting and raving consistently about people breaking lockdown with tear-stained block capitals posts on social media about how anyone breaking lockdown was a murderous scumbag... Until this weekend where someone posted up something showing her round at a gathering of 5+ households with people all hugging etc. Suddenly then her next post is a ‘I’m no longer blaming people for breaking rules, hope everyone enjoys summer as much as they can’ type post. These hypocritical wankers are the absolute worst.

  28. There's a difference between going on other threads to point & laugh or discuss something that's actually happening at that club and the constant drivel some people post on other club threads day in, day out, day in, day out, day in , day out ...

  29. Was never sure if this was a piss-take or not, but my father-in-law told me a story about a guy he knew who had seldom left Aberdeenshire, but had gone down to London for work. He was meant to have gone into the paper shop the next morning & asked for a copy of the P&J and a couple of rowies.

  31. If I walk past someone in the opposite direction or even dither beside them as we both presume the shelves, how is it any different to doing the exact same if I overtake them, then they overtake me going the same way down the same aisles as we follow the one way? It is an absolute token effort to be seen to be doing something and needs the bin.

  32. We have had an influx of maroon weaponry recently, probably due to a mention of P&B on Kickback's Giant Thread of Seethe and Delusion. Gorgie Greatness would be the part of the influx that hung around for more than about 3 posts. MegaRichJambos seems to be too over the top to be serious, though it's getting increasingly hard to judge.

  33. It's classic scumbag troll play. He'll sprint back to Kickback to say that he got banned from here for 'daring' to raise it and claim that this site is trying to 'cover it up', all whilst leaving out that he had zero interest and intention in actually discussing the matter and leaving out that he was bringing it up in a very obvious point scoring manner and trying (and failing) to play innocent contrarian. It's all incredibly pathetic.

  38. The questions today seemed to be quite focused on how to keep infections in Scotland coming down when tourism is re-opened, to England in particular. The question of whether NS would look to quarrantine travellers from England was answered with a "no plans" line, but it wasn't categorically ruled out. As everyone on this thread is probably aware, Leicestershire schools officially break up for summer on the 15th of July. With all the talk of the possible need to re-instate lockdown measures in Leicester, we absolutely should not want to risk importing the virus from anyone travelling up from that area to get away from it all for a bit. If NS is set on the elimination route, then all decisions should mirror this, and visitors from regions and countries with (relatively) high infection rates should be kept out of Scotland. It would be an absolutely wise decision to make, however it would immediately descend into a Unionist v Independence debate which leaves NS on to plums either way.

  40. According to Spiers? The same guy who felt sorry for the paedo from Hearts? Some character reference that! Malky is a cretin. It saddens me that fellow supporters would want anyone like him anywhere near the club, let alone be the face of it.

  41. Indeed. An incredibly inept and shit Hearts team were relegated to the championship. Just like now really.

  42. It’s a multi club forum. The whole point is for fans of rival clubs to engage with each other. This isn’t a thread for Falkirk fans, it’s a thread for fans of every club to discuss Falkirk.

  43. That's not very good advice - the rules / guidelines / restrictions are there for a reason - do you really think Scotland would have had 3 days of zero deaths in a row if we had all done what we liked? Its not about trying not to get caught its about not spreading the virus and passing it on to others...and so on

  48. Interview with Gary Harkinns in The Herald. https://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/18544195.jester-genius-maverick-maestro-gary-harkins-reflects-career-less-ordinary/ “Jackie McNamara and Simon Donnelly tried to sign me for Dundee United when I was leaving Dundee one year and if it had been any other club in Scotland I would have signed for them,” he admitted. “But because I had that affinity with Dundee, I didn’t want to tarnish that. I was thinking that in the years to come if I go into coaching or management or anything like that then Dundee would be a really good place for me to do that, so I didn’t want to tarnish that. “I still get pelters from Simon Donnelly for it now. He’s always telling me that if I’d gone there I would have got a Scotland cap but he’ll no hear any reasoning. He just calls me a big s****bag!” GGH
