  2. You quite clearly didn't have the coronavirus, what with it being found only in Wuhan province in December 2019. The idea that it was also floating around some hick towns in Scotland is nonsense.

  4. Shortages of household essentials caused by mercenary profiteering, as well as a widespread lack of faith in consumer capitalism. Aye, the main lesson here is how bad socialism is. Talking of greedy c***s, this must all be terrible news for the AirBnb owners who have bought up half of Edinburgh. That's a shame.

  5. Decided not putting kids to nursery now. Too much of a risk for me. The statistics for those that have cancer are not enjoyable reading. I'm not currently on treatment (chemo) but as I have blood cancer I'm at a much higher risk. I also have hospital treatment (not chemo) this week but I'm going to ask for it to be cancelled. It's in the oncology ward so it's always very clean but it's not life saving treatment so hopefully they'll agree to patch it.

  9. ‪The Queens Trust committee have decided on 3 entries into this years Queen of the South FC shirt draw at a cost of £1,275. We will pay this money ASAP to help with club funds. We will not be taking the season tickets that are part of it instead we will buy a season ticket later for our annual members draw. ‬ Meanwhile we will be thinking of any other ways we can possibly help the club during this time.

  17. Mebbe if they didn't scrap every single social event while broadcasting KILLER VIRUS THREATENS US ALL stories on the news and social media 24/7 then the general moron public wouldn't have decided to spend their suddenly free time stockpiling items from their nearest supermarket. What did they think was going to happen? It's hard to see how a government and society could be managing the warm-up stage of an epidemic quite as incompetently as the UK right now.

  19. Why would it be fair to promote two teams from the league below based on an incomplete season, but not to relegate teams on the same basis? And if you're just arbitrarily changing the rules, why is it two teams and not one or three or six?

  26. The wee one was tossing and turning in her cot last night and the Mrs could see it on the camera so I went to tuck her in a bit and just as I was tucking her in I needed to fart so I backed right into the camera and farted on it for my girlfriend to see/hear but the noise was so loud it made my daughter cry which also enraged my other half. I thought it was funny AF though.

  28. I’m frankly sick reading about old yins’ being kept home for ages, the possibility of mass social unrest, mental health issues, panic buying, fighting, the collapse of the economy and people losing their livelihoods. I just want to know, have Celtic won nine-in-a-row or not.

  29. Week 11 update Ahem. First up this week is a death from weeks ago. Singer, Pearl Carr: https://www.theguardian.com/music/2020/feb/19/pearl-carr-obituary She'd probably still do a decent job than whatever we're subjecting the continent to this year. She died at 98 for 27 Base Points. She was a Solo Shot for @sleazy, putting her at 77 points total. ------------------------------------------- Back to the present day, this week saw actor Max von Sydow go: https://www.theguardian.com/film/2020/mar/09/max-von-sydow-obituary Usually when an actor dies I look at their filmography to see what I'd know them from. I have seen The Exorcist, Flash Gordon, Ghostbusters 2, Minority Report and The Force Awakens. He was the voice of Vigo. That's good enough for me. You may know him as Blofeld, but my knowledge of old Bond films is lacking. He died at 90 for 35 Base Points. He was a Solo Shot for @Arch Stanton for a total of 85 points. ------------------------------------------- Finally this week we have Genesis P-Orridge: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-51893184 Since taking over the Dead Pool last year I've enjoyed finding out about people I've never heard of. For every list that's submitted I look up every person picked to find out who they are, if they're eligible, etc. Last year I discovered this person for the first time. Even though I've had fifteen months to digest them and their existence, I'm still none the wiser. I'd like to think of myself as vaguely clued up on the art world, but in this case I've got nothing. Let's have a listen: Not for me, Clive. P-Orridge died at 70 for 55 Base Points. That means 55 for @lichtgilphead, @Melanius Mullarkey and @Ned Nederlander. As a result of all of this, the standings now look like this: 1. Bishop Briggs 242 2. pub car king 223 3. JustOneCornetto 173 4. weejack 140 5. Ned Nederlander 127 6. alta-pete, sparky88 124 8. Arch Stanton 85 12. weirdcal 82 13. sleazy 77 14. statts1976uk 67 15. 101 63 16. lichtgilphead, Melanius Mullarkey 55 18. choirbairn, ICTJohnboy 51 20. chomp my root, Fuctifano, Ludo*1, mathematics, Speckled Tangerine, The_Craig 48 26. CountyFan, doulikefish, sureiknow 44 29. Bold Rover, D.V.T. 34 31. 33. I think the WR have accepted there can only be one feeder League and despite what they said going round club meetings it won't be decided at the SFA AGM in June. So if any club wants the Pyramid access required for an SFA Licence they should be getting the application filled out just in case talks break down on 23rd March. At the moment both sides appear optimistic.
