  4. Thanks BM. So that spfl pyramid contract states in annex 1 clause 1 sub paragraph c that any change to pyramid rules has to be agreed by all parties. The only named parties being the Sfa, the Spfl, ShFL, and the SLFL. There is no clause about what happens if 1 or more party doesn't agree and therefore without that all parties agreement is required in all situations. It also states in Annex 1 clause 3 sub paragraph c that it only recognises the geogrpahical juristiction of the HL and LL in the pyramid across the divide latitude line. That means any change to the pyramid rules, such as introducing a new party like the West Juniors cant be made with out the agreement of all parties, meaning the Sfa have no overriding clause allowing them to force through any change with out agreement of all 4 parties. It also says nothing about where the LL source their teams other than stipulates they only have approval for 16 teams. Therefore that means as the only recognised party in the agrement for the Lowland region in the pyramid its entirely the LL choice as to where they source any teams to make up that 16 in the Lowland catchment area, subject to the rules under the LL pyramid contract as I comment on below. Therefore I am really struggling to see how the West juniors can legally make a change to the pyramid rules with out agreement of all 4 named parties, ie the sfa, spfl, SLFL, ShFL. The Lowland League play off contract then similarly recognise only the Sfa, SLFL, EOS, and SOS as parties to that agreement and also states any change has to be subject to all parties agreement. So overall across both contracts there is no clause which would allow the sfa to force any change to either the spfl pyramid rules or the Lowland League entry rules with out agreement of all parties. Edited: In theory the Sfa could withdraw from both agreements in effect forcing both the agreements to fold (arguably they could continue with out the sfa) however would the Sfa really want to create that much upheaval just to help the West juniors proposal go through with no garauntee a new agreement would be reached any by when. (And interesting coincidence potentially save Brechin from relegation). I very much doubt it.

  5. You can almost guarantee a Rangers fan saw Livingston take the lead against Celtic, thought to himself there could still be a title race, only to then hear through the radio that Hamilton had taken the lead. Delicious.

  6. While I understand your point Lok, surely given that we know the EoS and LL are going to run this league and that we know how well they run their own league's, there is a reference point in terms of what to look at. The WoS is basically the EoS for West teams. Same people and I'd be amazed if they didn't confirm same format/rules etc. at their meeting. I think older junior committee members who use the excuse of "not knowing what we're moving to" is a poor one.. There's plenty of ways to get that information and look at how that league is likely to run based on those currently running. The older members of our committee had to be educated on the EoS when we were doing our due diligence and when the pros and cons were laid out on the table it was unanimous. Committees, regardless of age, just have to do their homework. If they are swayed by emotion/confirmation bias then, in my humble opinion, they're not doing their job as custodians of their club. And to be clear, for some clubs that may be to stay Junior. That is entirely their right. If they look at the pros and cons objectively and decide that's their future, then at least the decision has been made based on knowledge, not emotion. Every club has the right to choose what they think it's best for them. I just hope they do either way based on facts, not fiction. There's also a former West Region Junior team playing in the EoS league who could give an insight if asked. To this point only one person from one club has asked that question.

  9. I don't think we should be humping every team every week. I do think Falkirk should be winning more than 13 out of 27 games in the Scottish third tier.

  10. A moment of love for wee Falky. What a boy he was. He could liven up any game by having entire teams out for his blood. Good player too but one of the finest wee bampots to grace the black and white strip.

  12. ‘Poaching clubs’ pathetic language. Poaching is a form of theft, no ones been stolen, clubs dont belong to the LL or SJFA, they are free to make decisions. If a club decides to move to a structure which offers it longevity and greater benefits/progression then thats not ‘poaching’ thats good management. Perhaps some internal reflection as to what caused the move to happen instead of looking to blame third parties would be more useful and entirely more honourable. But no just continue with your fingers in your ears Mr information minister.

  13. But not on P&B, which is where we post, thankfully. We gifted Accies a goal and, after, they defended with aplomb. Gogic playing like three men and Southwood making a few excellent saves and must be a contender for MotM. Well done the thin red and white line.

  16. This is just a little something more, piled upon a gathering mountain of evidence, to indicate that Mr. Ronney is heading up a campaign to “save the Juniors” and not necessarily a campaign to offer clubs a pathway to what is ultimately right for them. No clarity of just what the WRSJFA proposal actually is and what substance it has, nothing to dispute the mounting evidence – here and elsewhere and backed up by the cold, hard facts based on the rules and regulations of those other football organisations that have to be interacted with to make what he proposes happen – against the likelihood of his proposal ever coming to pass. Nothing. What we do have is a tug at the heartstrings – a plea that all but poses the question “Surely if an unwell man sees the WRSJFA as the solution to the Pyramid conundrum then it must be so? Surely?”. My word, we have now reached a new and desperate low. Mr. Ronney, the LL/EoSFL WoSFL proposition is a deliverable solution that includes all of the benefits that the EoSFL currently offers the myriad of ex-Junior clubs who moved to be under their auspices over the last two seasons. Please make it clear just how you believe the WRSJFA proposition can match such a solution and how it can overcome the innumerable hurdles in its way. Do this and you may just find that you and the WRSJFA can be taken that bit more seriously. Oh yes, and why did it take until the LL/EoSFL made their offer of facilitating a WoSFL before the WRSJFA/you acted? If you had made just such a move last year then it would almost certainly have attracted the support of the EoSFL and the LL as well as the majority on here – insignificant as posters on a P&B thread are in the whole scheme of things.

  17. Let me put it another way then. As you say, nothing is guaranteed until it happens. However: - By rules, the Lowland/EoS led West League would automatically join the pyramid at tier 6 and feed into tier 5 - By rules, the WRSJFA led West League would require more negotiation and agreements in order to join the pyramid at tier 6 and feed into tier 5 One is infinitely easier than the other to achieve.

  19. Fuds absolutely never fud alone. Always in a group...a gaggle of fuds, if you will. The number of fuds correlates directly to the likely hood of a fudding incident. However, I definitely notice more at away matches.

  20. If the SOS decided to block the WOS, it still wouldn't mean the WRJFA would get in (as the LL/EOS would block that). It would instead mean clubs applying to the SOS. And of course your definition of poaching seems not match the reality of the situation, where clubs are freely choosing to leave the Juniors. Just two clubs remaining in Fife...

  26. Yes. We are second in the THIRD TIER ffs and have won less than half our league games. We were set up last night like we were playing Bayern Munich. Anyone saying that no one could ever envisage us winning against League One Raith Rovers is at least partially responsible for our decline these last few years. "team r doin a gr8 job coyb cud be a key point at end of season!"

  27. Clyde lifting themselves to near safety is probably the story of the last 7 days, Dumbarton can more or less take the season off now and the top two taking 1 from 6 in the last two games has lowered the predicted league winning totals. NB due to rounding the table shown doesn’t always add up to 100% but I think 2 decimal places is a bit much for a broad brush thing like this

  28. To be honest, at this point there is a responsibility on each individual club to do their research - as there should be when considering future plans/changes. The LL/EoS cannot be expected to hand hold the whole way. Indeed, this kind of behaviour will be seized upon as “trying to steal our clubs” by the SJFA reps. Feels like we’re approaching the point of the LL/EoS pressing ahead in complete comfort and confidence that the WoSFL is happening regardless. Any clubs choosing to be left behind can apply as normal next summer.

  32. I'm giving you glib answers because your posts are ridiculous. You're pinning you hopes on 'the nature of knowledge', and on social media that's a sure sign of desperation. "You might as well promise Kilbirnie that they will be playing Barcelona in the league next season, at this point in time it holds as much validity as saying there is guaranteed to be a WoS league next season." You take one thing that hasn't happened, take another thing that hasn't happened and say "hey, neither have happened so they're as unlikely to happen!" This is the point at which I decided you're not worth talking to.

  38. The LL / EoS statement MUST state the following: 1. They are the only show in town, acknowledged by the SFA, and the SFA does not and will not plan a 'Head to Head' vote at the June AGM. 2. There are no limits to applications and all applicants meeting exisiting tier 6 standards in EoS/SoS will be admitted. 3. No rival league in a directly overlapping area will be granted access to the Pyramid Play Off into Lowland league. The precedent for this was set during PWG meetings when an East SJFA feeder was denied.

  40. Edinburgh derbies are occasions where a bit of the Scottish da football coach mentality is actually needed. As much as it's a horrendous cliche, every Hearts player won their battle. It seemed like we didn't win a second ball all night, which comes down to players grafting and helping each other out. I wouldn't take it as an insult to talk up the difference in attitude last night. On the rare occasions that we have teams who are up for the battle, I love to see it. I noticed after the second goal that none of our players were talking to each other. We are chronically lacking any kind of leadership figures who aren't crocked.
