  1. Further proof that every one of you Junior haters hang on everything that comes from Burnie as being solid gospel truth. "Junior haters". Do you realise how mental that is? Every person you're raging against either follows a Junior club now, or followed a Junior club until their club left less than 2 years ago. The Juniors is the clubs. It's not some esoteric abstract concept. If the clubs all move, everything that is the Juniors, everything you love about it, moves too. This fixation on an arbitrary collection of non-league football clubs is irrational.

  2. You’ll have to stick to playing us for now mate. Personally I want to see the best teams playing each other at the top and if Talbot, Pollok or Kelty are better than Annan, Albion and Cowdenbeath then they should be playing at a higher level. I also think it’s madness to have two separate grades where local towns like Rosyth and Burntisland can’t meet. Hopefully we eventually end up with 1 pyramid with every team finding their level and able to enter the national cup. Really enjoyed the cup runs of Talbot and this year BSC. Football is football whether it’s Celtic, Falkirk or Yoker. The Pyramid is a long way from perfect but it’s slowly heading in the right direction. Senior, Junior, Amateur, Welfare they’re just artificial divides.

  4. Gordon, the irony behind your post is indicative as to why you have lost all credibility. You’re actually threatening to take clubs and a football association to court because your own association failed its members. Wee bit of perspective before you make a further mess of yourself.

  5. Never let it be said that following Thistle is dull. Foreign investors show an interest in Thistle A small group of fans decide this is no way to go and start a movement for Fan Ownership - TfE. TfE shows little uplift, pledges are low and the majority of fans make it clear that Fan Ownership is not really something they want for the Club. Without any prior indication that he was an avid fan of Fan Ownership, Colin Weir backs TfE. The only issue is, it's a completely different Proposal to the one TfE suggested to the fans. Now (when previously one wasn't required) Colin Weir/3BC will act as a go between, taking temporary ownership of the Shares for 4 months whilst the newly formed Working Group build and put forward a proposal that meets 3BC's requirements to what they deem as a suitable way for the fans to own their OWN Club. why there was a sudden requirement for the shares to be bought and held by 3BC's, only TfE know. As the sale goes through, 3BC's confirm they will buy and return the Propco Land to the Club within 7 days - The Training Complex is still going ahead. 3BC's appoint their own Interim Board including a couple of folk from The Trust set up by Colin Weir, on the back of him previously buying some shares. Only 1 member of TfE is appointed to the Interim Board. Colin Weir suddenly, sadly dies. and what happens next, to some, beggars belief... for 4 WEEKS, the Press is filled with tributes as Weir's takeover and transfer to fan ownership is lauded up and down the Country. Weir is proclaimed the "Saviour" of Partick Thistle, i kid you not, our Saviour!!! what we needed saved from, no one is sure and so the wheels are set in motion as Colin's "legacy" must be fulfilled so that we can "realise his dream" of fan ownership. all the while a PR Spin exercise is set in full motion that would see the greatest comeback since Lazurus. Who said smoke n mirrors? The land is still not transferred to the Club. 3BC's owns 50% of the Club's land. and it's now being stated that the Training Ground won't go ahead, it turns out that 3BC had originally sold us a pup. they never had enough money to do both. deciding without consultation to jack the training ground in favour of Fan Ownership(which carries little support). I've no idea what would have influenced Colin Weir to suddenly become a cheerleader for Fan Ownership. February's quite a quiet month, but that doesn't last long. Half 4 on the last Friday of the month, the interim Board announce the news that absolutely no one was surprised about. Our former Chairman Jacqui Low has returned to take control of the Club, apparently guys like Charan Gill and those 3BC appointed to the Interim Board have suddenly became incapable of Chairing meetings... despite having done so for the last couple of months. along side this, an announcement that the Club will be meeting with the Working Group to revise the timetable for handover, yet again comes as absolutely no surprise to anyone. i'm going to be honest, i've no idea why there would need to be a revised date for handover.

  6. Further proof that every one of you Junior haters hang on everything that comes from Burnie as being solid gospel truth. Laughable. More of the "grade" mentality there - football is football, no one cares about a stupid divide from a hundred years ago anymore. Only those who cant embrace the 21st century are stuck in the mindset of the "grade" mattering more than the wellbeing of the clubs. The West Region are putting their blazers ahead of the good of their member clubs, its obscene behaviour.

  9. See, this is where I'm beginning to get frustrated. The SFA AGM will absolutely not "choose between the two" - that's absolute nonsense unless proven by documentation etc. The WoSFL is happening and will be a feeder to the Lowland. I fear that this may muddy waters for Junior sides who could well be left behind.

It's the clubs themselves that are doing it - 40+ of them and counting if I've heard correctly. Y'know, the junior clubs? Many of whom hate the juniors so much they've been there 100 years and more.

  14. Basically what we have here is I have decided to put an extension on my house contacted the council for planning permission and asked builders to tender. At the same time my neighbour is telling the builders not to tender as he is also planning to build an extension on my house and the planning committee don't meet til June.

  15. Further proof that every one of you Junior haters hang on everything that comes from Burnie as being solid gospel truth. This is both pathetic and embarrassing in equal measure. From my perspective and, I imagine, the perspective of most on here and most who have an interest in the future of the non-league Scottish game, no one "hates" the Juniors. No one. What they are coming to "hate" is the abject failure of the Junior games administrators and their utterly appalling attempts to gain traction with such a very similar play to that which failed so miserably last season (read 'done deal') - and to what end? To save a pretty tidy remuneration, and a remuneration for what may we all ask? For having run their grade aground and for steadfastly standing in the way of the lifeboats.

  19. That's absolutely fine, but matchgoing fans represent by far the biggest income source for Scottish clubs, so it is perfectly reasonable to structure things to minimise disruption to those people who do go.

  20. As an old timer, I can remember the "good old days" when. as a wean, your Dad lifted you over the turnstiles at Hampden and many other grounds. I even remember, on the occassions when my Dad was working, when the gates got opened for the last 20 minutes and all us Mount Florida "tykes" got in for free to see the end of a game. I remember explaining to my Dad my recollection's about going to an away game on the supporter's bus, and his amazement that I was only 5years old then. I reckon that's why I've got QP in my DNA, I got hooked early doors With our forthcoming move to the "farmhouse" and the various suggestions on how to appeal to a wider homebase, it seems recent "soundings" from the chairman and committee have been encouraging. For example last weekends tickets to Alex and his/her 90 something year old Dad. Why don't we have a trial policy of giving "complimentary" tickets to every Primary School within a couple of mile radius, enough to cover their own Primary Fitba team, even if they don't have one, say mibbe 20 freebies. If it was me I'd let every Primary School age kid in for free. I reckon that way there would be more kids like me, still coming back after 70+ years. When you think of our catchment area, the potential is huge. Govanhill (has 5 Primary Schools), Mount Florida(1), Battlefield(2), Castlemilk(8), Toryglen(5), Shawlands/Giffnock(5), Cathcart/King'sPark(5). And that's only those a mile or so away, we then could spread the net slightly further afield. Most of these kids would probably bring an adult, they would spend money in the "souvenir/tuck shop", and just think of the positive publicity the club would get in the community news outlets. There will be a fair bit of publicity when we finally open the "new ground" for business, what a buzz there could be if we handle it properly.

  23. The language from one side here is quite telling - everything is a "fight", talk of "traitors", "salvation" and "hate". I can only speak for myself but I just want teams playing football games against teams of similar abilities. Pollok vs Falkirk in the Scottish Cup is my one selfish thing I want from this.

  24. Yup don’t know him or who he gets his information from but from what I’ve seen he’s been right about pretty much everything he’s posted. I also neither hate the Juniors or support them, I’m just interested in the future pyramid of Scottish football and which clubs will eventually step up to the SPFL. Last year we had Larry from Lochee who told us “it was a done deal” WRJFA and ERJFA at tier 6, he even provided his proof in an email from Ian Maxwell and wanted Burnie_man to apologise when the SFA overruled the LL and EOS objections. Burnie_man told him this couldn’t happen as SFA had no power and the leagues could veto it. like 99% I had no idea who was correct. Everything Burnie_man said turned out to be correct and the SFA and SJFA plan was rejected by the LL and EOS so I’m willing to believe that he’s once again correct in that the SFA are powerless here to force change on the Lowland League and unless the WRJFA gain the backing of the LL they’ll be pissing in the wind.

  25. The WRSJFA need to produce cast iron documentary evidence that their version of the WoSFL will absolutely without any shadow of a doubt get access to the pyramid and promotion would be accepted by the LL. And they need to do it before 31st March, otherwise there is only one decision to make for teams who want to join the pyramid.

  27. I actually think the STSDATHHB plan here from the West top table is a good one, but it is too late. Had it been proposed last year it may well have worked. But there has been too much water under the bridge for it to work now. Too much faith put in certain people to deliver the 'done deal' 'all in' 'no one left behind' guff that was doomed from the start. The WR should have stood up to them said, no we want to negotiate on our own, not let all avenues be so exhausted they were basically kicked out. I am so angry at what has happened to the Juniors this past decade or so and it was so utterly avoidable.

  28. Further proof that every one of you Junior haters hang on everything that comes from Burnie as being solid gospel truth. I don't know Burnie. I do know he was part of a group of people saying the SFA could not force the LL,EoSL and SoSL to alter their playoff arrangements and he was correct. The SJFA were wrong. That was a year ago. This year the SJFA tried the same trick again. What the latest wheeze that gets over that barrier?

  29. I don't want to sound like one of those superfan weirdos, but any self respecting Raith or Falkirk fan sitting at home tomorrow night because either Saturday's result or the FA Cup on the TV, they have a brass neck calling themselves a fan. Biggest game of the season for both clubs. I bought the Raith Dumbarton game before Christmas when I was in New Zealand about 5 minutes before kick off, it's really easy to navigate and sign up, I wouldn't worry.

  31. He is the person going door to door. He is on the WR management committee. The 'salvation of the association' should not be at the expense of the clubs who could lose out big time if they follow this Fool's errand. He allegedly is telling people (meeting tonight) - without any evidence - that the WoSL will cherry pick clubs. Wise up. You lack any neutrality on this. I have followed this whole thing very closely for years and while I would have liked the SJFA / West Region to have succeeded, they have not. It has moved on.

  36. Appreciate the goals/assists numbers - brought up here a few times - haven't been in Drey Wright's favour. But equally, as far as assists go, I don't think that's always been his fault. His final ball isn't always perfect but it is good enough IMO, and he gets in those positions on a very regular basis. I definitely want to see him around next season. Butcher too if there's any way of making that work. There's a lot to like about the current line up. Suddenly some strength in depth in certain positions and a good core of young players that we've developed - or brought in at a young age to develop - making the difference. Hendry deserves a special mention for that. Not starting ahead of Kane earlier in the year - possibly because it was felt he wasn't an outball or able to win enough in the air - yet yesterday he gives Celtic's towering back line a pretty hard time. I can't say enough positive about Ali McCann as well. If we can keep the core of this team together next season it's one I'm very excited to come and watch every week.
