  3. 1 Apply for WOSFL run by LL and have access to pyramid, licencing and Scottish cup 2 Apply for WOSFL run by WRJFA be told the LL and EOS have vetoed your league at tier 6 as they don’t want any SJFA involvement and wait a year to then apply for the WOSFL run by the LL.

  9. I don't understand this love of the "grade". Football is football. I've watched Internationals (full, under 23 and amateur), European club competitions, Scottish league (regular top flight, occasional lower divisions matches), Highland league, Irish League (top division and lower division), League of Ireland, an English league game, a junior match, amateur, summer league and kick abouts. Never once have I thought "I must follow this 'grade' to the exclusion of all others, and do all in my power to ensure my team doesn't leave this 'grade'".

  17. And the current situation is that by adopting the stance they did they've now rendered themselves an irrelevance in the progress of events from now on. Their influence on the road ahead is non-existent and the only tactics they have left at their disposal are appeals to solidarity and a muddying of the waters by the spread of disinformation. From such a strong starting position it's actually stunning how they've mishandled the situation at every turn.

  24. Armstrong, although he didn't score the goal, was one of the big reasons we got a win vs Clyde. He's been carrying a knock pretty much since he returned to the club up until the start of February and in his most recent interview he couldn't have sounded more happy to be here. Dingwall has had a few decent games recently, Livi away and Clyde at home, and although nothing really happened for him yesterday, he's better than being described as a waste of a jersey. It happens every single time but one defeat and we've got fans losing their minds. If we were offered this position at the start of the season (top of the league and a cup final) most, if not all, would have taken it. Admittedly we could have put ourselves in a better position going into Tuesday, but what clubs can't say the same thing? I trust McGlynn will have us fired up for it.

  26. If we don’t go up that January window needs looked at. It was crucial we added a few really decent quality signings - Hartley managed it in his first season ffs, it is doable. Instead we added de vita (genuinely hopeless), hall (I think a worse defender than Durnan), Todd (injury prone and not as good as longridge or Connolly, but an okay squad player) and lost a few, including tidser who never got a fair shot. A laughable shitshow. M and M need questioned over it

  27. There was an interesting phrase used in the WRSJFA email on Friday night, saying that they will do all the can "to ensure no one is left behind”. Surely under the LL's plan nobody will be left behind that doesn't want to be left behind ? If you want to apply, then apply. If you don't want to apply, then don't apply. It really is that simple.

  30. Well, all teams in the hunt for the play-offs got wins today, making things even more interesting. 2nd place through 7th are now separated by just 5 (five) points. Ayr grabs an extremely valuable 3 points away to Alloa, and jump above Dundee (b*****ds) to again take 3rd place, now just 1 point off 2nd. Dunfermline grabbed a massive 2-0 win against league runaways and their bogey team Dundee United. This big time performance keeps the Pars very much in the talk for the play-offs. Morton doing what they needed to do and getting a dominant 0-4 win at Palmerston over a lame QoS side, which improves their dreadful GD greatly. David Hopkins' men continue to click, but they need to keep this momentum up, having played more games than any of their counterparts. Eyes now turn to Tuesday and Wednesday nights, where we have a full card that hopefully won't be dealt a bad hand by the weather. After a disappointing call-off, Dundee will hopefully welcome Alloa and will attempt to grab their 3rd consecutive win and 4th game unbeaten in their quest for 2nd. Having claimed all 6 points from their first 2 encounters this season and having far more rest, Dundee should be favourites, but you never know with this team. Kenny Crawford will be there though, so we're defo winning. Massive game at Somerset Park, with Ayr hosting the league-leading Arabs. Dundee United's last visit was one to remember for the Honest Men who gave United their first loss of the season. The reverse fixture however was much the opposite, with Mark Kerr's first match against his old club being a 4-0 skelping at Tannadice. With the league leaders' form of late being spotty (compared to their previous dominance anyways) and their own favourable position, A win for Ayr would be enormous for their own push for the 2nd spot. Coming off a big Scottish Cup defeat, John Robertson and Caley Thistle will be desperate to re-solidify their position as leaders of the pack with their upcoming home game against the wildcard Morton. Caley have certainly been up and down in form of late, but will look for this game to be the catalyst for a late-season push. David Hopkins' men will arrive at Caledonian Stadium on the back of 8 consecutive unbeaten games, having not lost away in the league since early December. This has the potential to be a very interesting game and could be key to how both teams finish their season. Do ICT have it in them to hold onto their shaky position as best of the rest, or are Morton legit play-off contenders? On Wednesday night, Arbroath entertain Dunfermline after missing out on a game on Saturday. The Pars come straight from a huge home win against Dundee United and will be right up for this one, but Arbroath will be the more rested side and are still on a great run in their own right. Despite these two teams being 6th and 7th in the league, a win for either could easily propel them into the play-offs. Also there's a relegation battle but who cares.

  31. Pleased we gave that a go. Scoreline was the same as in the League Cup quarter-final last season but that night was completely backs to the wall and I probably thought that was our only way of getting a result. This is a new squad though and they showed they aren't afraid of going toe-to-toe. Brilliant to see Kerr back to the player of last season and thought Drey Wright was very good in the wing back role. Much more like it from the goalkeeper too. Folk won't like it but I think the stand switch has been a success.

  32. The point of a pyramid isn't just so clubs can reach the top, it's for clubs to find their level. Teams like Dundee United are pushing for a Premiership place, Kelty for an SPFL L2 place and Tynecastle for an EOS Premier place, whilst Tweedmouth will be happy to just stay where they are. All of that is possible in the pyramid.

  33. Really? Remember the collection buckets when we didn’t have a home game for weeks? The losses year after year? The additional income streams, implemented by this board mean we’re not as reliant on gate money. I keep hearing we should sack the board etc. Why? The club is financially stable. Do you really want overspending and the club going to wall? If Hewitson goes, do you see a willing benefactor to come in and out millions into the club? Things aren’t good, but getting rid of the board is unlikely to make them better.

  34. The latest developments are shameful. Incredible really. Shows the SJFA were acting in bad faith from the beginning. There's now ample evidence to suggest they would continue to work to the detriment of Scottish football if they were involved in the pyramid. SFA need to step up asap and make it clear the LL-backed WOS league is the only show in town, to nip this in the bud. Otherwise the JFA are going to keep embarrassing everyone by acting like an incoherent alchy refusing to leave the bar as the Titanic sinks.

  35. I don't get this meaningless games argument put out to argue against a larger league. I'm a County fan and every Ross County game means something to me, it might not to supporters of other clubs but if i can't attend a game, I'm a season ticket holder so go to most home games and a few away games, I'm always looking for ways to hear how the match is going (usually poorly but I try to be optimistic). It doesn't matter where County are in the league, the game matters. Bring on a 16 team league in my opinion.

  37. We are utter shite, Sleeve tattoo and herbal life have just made the players try a bit harder, but the players are average at best, better to have a couple of class acts like Goodwillie and surround him him with decent and willing hard workers than 11 average Championship jobbers. Telfer and Mcmillan were the worst today, folk going mental at Sammon but he's head and shoulders ahead of the McMillan. Telfer is slower than me and soft as shite, absolute imposter! We are so far away from being a decent team its frightening!
