  1. Was just coming on to do exactly that. For years Hibs were the *** skelping swag daddies, causing cranial detachments from the bigots for a huge portion of the Banter Years, but the second they started stumbling, the bold Killie picked up the batton and have just fucking ran with it, to utterly hilarious effect. Thank you for your service. A great bunch of lads.

  3. Pyramid Statement 12/02/2020 By Media Team The latest Pyramid Working Group Update Following the statement issued on 7 February 2020, numerous informal contacts have been made by Clubs interested in the formation of a new West of Scotland League [WoSFL] at Tier 6 in the Pyramid. This shows clearly that there is an appetite for such an expansion of the Pyramid. The Scottish Lowland Football League [SLFL], in conjunction with the East of Scotland Football League [EoSFL] can now lay out the high level plan to introduce the WoSFL by the start of season 2020/2021. The next step will be to invite Clubs to register an Expression of Interest to George Fraser, Chairperson of the SLFL by Sunday 1 March, to geo_fraser @hotmail.co.uk. Any expressions of interest must include the contact details of at least one club official. These will be treated in the strictest confidence. Clubs should not contact the newly formed email address relating to WoSFL, this Is not run by either the SLFL or EoSFL. At the same time the Clubs are welcome to ask any questions on how the Pyramid works currently as the informal contacts suggested this would be useful. The sending of the Expression of Interest does not of course commit any Club to any particular course of action, but it would be very helpful if we could gauge as closely as possible the actual level of interest in the WoSFL. The next again step will be to invite Clubs to complete by Tuesday 31 March 2020 an Application to Join the WoSFL. Once again these will be treated in the strictest confidence. The process surrounding these applications will be announced by Friday 6 March 2020. This plan is to allow every Club at all grades in the SLFL area the opportunity to progress through the Pyramid. There will of course be issues such as geographical integrity to be considered with the introduction of a third Tier 6 League alongside the EoSFL and SoSFL. This and any other consequences will be addressed in a respectful, constructive and orderly way. Issued by – George Fraser [Chairperson SLFL] and John Greenhorn [Chairperson EoSFL]

  4. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again You’re soft in the head if you support a grade of football over your actual football club.

  5. Predictions: A mass stampede crushing thousands as fans of The Rangers try to con their way in with fake tickets poorly made in Microsoft Paint. A few dozen pitch invaders to seriously injure themselves on the lethal Rugby Park pitch that assaulted Jamie Murphy. The new disabled supporters shelter to successfully support some 200 clinically obese knuckledraggers performing "The Bouncy Bouncy", thanks to its new titanium-reinforced roof. The fans of the "Everyone Anyone" club to trot out all sorts of sectarian bile. Alfredo Morelos to finally get booked for his seventh offence of the game, when he Eric Cantona kung-fu kicks a 9 year old for calling him a nasty name. The match and its fallout to generate no less than 3 very serious statements from Jim Traynor.

  6. I posted a while that I’d bought the domain, used the email to see if there was enough interest after the TJ “West aren’t interested” statement, the data was then passed to the LL and it’s went towards making this decision

  8. This has no doubt been said before but for f**k sake it's pathetic Rangers: "We refuse to work with the BBC" Celtic: "We refuse to work with sky" Banning journalists for speaking out or criticising them. Absolute tinpot pathetic b*****ds. Folk outside Scotland must see it and cringe. No wonder we can't get a decent TV deal when the only team's those TV channels are interested in showing are fucking banned by those clubs. Folk say Hamilton's crowds are tinpot, nah being so far up your own arse that you're convinced every jurno or tv organisation is out to get you is next level.

  11. Darvel Pyramid Statement Darvel Juniors have expressed an interest in joining a potential West of Scotland League (WoSL) at Tier 6 given that there was no following consensus put forward with the Pyramid Working Group (PWG). It is anticipated that this would act as a feeder league to the existing Tier 5 Lowland League. I think it is with little surprise that we have considered the potential to enter such a league given the level of investment in both our current facilities/playing squad. We will seek assurances/guidances from the necessary parties in order for us to better understand what our position would be if such a league came to fruition. The Club will release a statement in due course when we are in receipt of further information, however be assured that we are still dedicated to our SJFA membership at this time. In the interim Darvel needs to assess our options to ensure we are maximising our potential to play at the highest playing level available to us.

  13. I can't say anything according to him as my country of birth apparently means I'm not allowed an opinion on junior football. Obviously, it's completely irrelevant that I've visited absolutely loads of junior games, support a junior club and watched more junior football than any other grade .

  15. ^^^ Started the new job, all good, in fact extremely good. So good I received a personal email to set up a call with the owner of the business (I have never had any contact). The conversation went. @SlipperyP thanks for joining us here, as you know we are a new business and as I have seen already from your work, I think we have a problem. I shat myself. He follows on with. Him - We seem to have positioned you incorrectly in our business and would like to ask you to reconsider the financial arrangements. me - What is the problem? Him - The problem has come to my attention that you should be promoted as of today. What do you think? me - Eeem, sure what is the new position? Him - same as before, but you can work with direct with me with your knowledge and experience, we can grow together. This means financially you will receive what you are worth. me - perfect. him - ok, I'll get someone to send the new contract of employment. Good to get you, I have known about you for a while. me - (put the phone down) WTF, he knows me? Good or bad hitting my mind. what a day! I think I'm going to like 2020

  20. Someone whose job it is to know these things was kind enough to clarify it for me earlier. "Cross-border loans close for everyone on 31st Jan incl L1 and L2 clubs. L1 and 2 can sign domestic loans in the months of September and February, however the same limit rules apply in that you are only allowed four domestic loans at any one time". Falkirk already have four domestic loans (McManus, MacMillan, De Vita, Ferrie) and so will not be signing anyone else unless they're a free agent.

  24. The Building Committee have been in existence for a wee while now. The main stand was purchased and erected way before Talbot had anything to do with the Senor Cup (I do like that phrase) The pitch improvement of a while back took up a huge amount of money when new drainage was added. We have a programme hut that has raised £17,000 plus since it started seven years back, and that's all from fans donations which are then recycled into cash for the Beechwood Regeneration Project. The fans buy into that big style because they can see the continual improvements, new stands, new catering facility, new ladies toilets, and toilets for those less able within the park itself. As for buying players, the majority of the pot for funding new players, and also extending contracts is from the club's hugely successful scheme where fans, players, management contribute £10 per month for ten months of the year with nothing in return bar a small end of season party. Since it was started in 2004 it has raised over £180,000. It's like everything the club does, making sure everything's sustainable. We could have gone down the route of others who have vastly overspent, but choose not to, and that's why we played second fiddle to Irvine Meadow for a few seasons in the Super League. It's why, like yourself, I can not see any new WoSFL set up without Talbot in it either.

  27. I think it’s pretty mental that after years of people (rightly) harping on the SJFA for deriding the Lowland League as being of inferior quality and populated by teams like BSC and Caley Braves with double figures fanbases are now using the same excuse to shunt SoS down to Tier 7/8. Also funny to see people deriding the remaining East Juniors for wanting to come in at Tier 6 by saying they should have joined when they had the chance and then suggesting St Cuthbert and the lads make space for the proper big teams like Talbot and either be assimilated or gentlemanly forfeit their Tier 6 status for the betterment of some OCD forum posters who don’t live in the area and think the league is shite, because they can’t be arsed to pay attention to it. it’s a historic regional league which embraced the pyramid when everyone else was wailing about gold toilets and Elgin away on a Tuesday. Seeing as half the league isn’t licensed and reserves, it’s highly unlikely that they are going to factor into LL promotion/relegation anyway so what is the necessity to rip them up apart from to stop some P&B poster from KIlbirnie having panic attacks because their precious pyramid isn’t exactly to his liking?

  30. Dear me. He's back! What happened to the K who posted the reasoned, mature response to the point-scoring nonsense that has permeated this thread and its shorter brother? So your children will never utter a bigoted or racist word? Well, bully for you! I wish I had the same confidence in my own parenting. I, however, probably like most parents, endeavour to raise my children in a home where it is clear that we deplore bigotry, racism, violence etc. Does that mean that I can guarantee that such language will never cross their lips? I think not. Much as it sickens me, I have to accept that they may say something awful to another child at school, or shout something stupid at a fitba match. Can you maybe give parents a break here, or are you incapable of spouting anything other than Daily Mail notions of right and wrong? Young people say and do terrible things. This neither, necessarily, defines them or their parents. Back off. You have moved from your usual point- scoring Rangers/Celtic agenda to a simplistic political one. I see what you're up to and deplore it.

  34. One summer in school I got a job working as a packer in a seafood factory. A load of us were recruited at the same time, one guy got sacked on the second day for spraying a colleague with a hose. He has a wife and kids and had to go home and tell them he’d blown his job because he skooshed someone with a hose.

  36. Rangers are refusing to work with the BBC because one of their reporters had the gall to accurately report the misbehaviour of their fans. Celtic are refusing to work with Sky because they were absolutely slated in a translation of an interview which turned out to entirely misleading. There is a massive difference. As for folk outside Scotland seeing it and cringeing, Alex Ferguson refused to speak to the BBC for 7 years when he was Man United manager. This stuff is not new, nor is it restricted to Scotland.

  37. The SoSL's continued participation at tier 6 is a non-issue along the lines of fretting that the World Cup would be devalued if Scotland qualified for it. As things stand and for the foreseeable future they're extremely unlikely to mount a challenge for any promotion to the LL, with their champions almost certain to be comfortably taken care of in a playoff by any team capable of being the champions of either the EoS or any putative WoS. If the leagues finished today, this season's playoff would be between Bo'ness United and Threave Rovers. I know who my money would be on. Leave them be at tier 6 - all we're doing otherwise is muddying the waters.
