  1. I guess we've all dreamt at one time or other of winning the lottery. Colin Weir lived that dream. If you look at many of his philanthropic activities you'll see the notion of community involvement and empowerment running through them. Partick Thistle have much to thank him for. His financial involvement with the Club was never about short term gain but was motivated by a desire to safe guard the future of the Club. A hugely laudible intent. His passing serves as a sad reminder that wealth doesn't guarantee good health.

  4. Would have been happy with Miller at the back, Tidser in the middle and that donkey durnan in a different postcode.

  5. Because I stay in Stirling and my dad takes the car to games, if we arrive early we like to go and take in a pint and a juice and something to eat for the wee man where available. We went into the bar at the stadium which was welcoming for children as well. So you can take a flying f**k to yourself ya wee rat f**k

  11. Tidser should be the best player at the club - more or less. Unless he’s injured, it’s the management’s job to get him in the team and get him playing. We don’t have the quality in the squad to leave him out. I’m not holding out much hope for this happening because, and it gives me no great pleasure to say it, sadly they are both clueless.

  13. Well that was fairly pish. McCracken and Miller have got to take the blame for that abortion of a first half performance we were utterly rancid and tactics/team selection/substitution were all wrong. Sooner we ditch this back 3 pish the better we simply don’t have the players to play it correctly. Once we went back to a 4-4-2 when Toshney got injured we were infinitely better going forward and were properly threatening. Our defence is fucking diabolical. Every single one of them were horrible again today and if we don’t get a minimum of 2 defenders in (I’d say we actually need a whole new back 4 but sadly won’t be possible) then there’s no chance of us winning this league. I genuinely think Durnan is worse than Harrison/Dallison which is some fucking achievement. The f**k were they thinking dropping Tidser to let that sack of shit back into the team? He’s been howling for weeks and topped it all with his worst performance of a pish season today. Missing headers, letting the ball bounce, losing his man from corners, a complete inability to pass the football. Just basic stuff that he’s incapable of doing. Shows how bad he is when Buchanan is marginally better than him. Ridiculous the amount of times that c**t let’s the ball bounce in front of him. Seems to think he’s a baller with his shitey Paul Paton-esque long range passes into the stand. The few positives was the performance when we went 4-4-2 minutes which was much better and we really need to be be playing that going forward. David McMillan took his goal really well and had a decent game his link up play is improving. Our best player was again Gary Miller imo. Battles away in midfield, doesn’t do anything stupid and he’s getting better more games he plays. Also felt sorry for Ross MacLean he was having probably his best game for us since his debut then had to go off injured. Really didn’t think he had something like that in him. I hate Mark Durnan.

  15. I hate the whole team. I haven’t liked a single Falkirk player since 2016-ish. Another game against a top four team that has passed us by. We are pish.

  17. Amazing how differently people see the game - not that anyone is right or wrong, it’s all about opinions. After their goal I don’t think there was anyone who had a poor game last night. Kerr should have tracked the full back and in hindsight Meekings should have leathered it with his foot but it was a fantastic finish - nothing Hamilton could have done. After the goal I thought Kerr dealt with Apperé very well again. He does need to work on his distribution once he wins the ball back but I’m now starting to think he’s one of those players we won’t fully appreciate until we don’t have him - I.e Kevin Holt. Thought McGhee and Meekings were excellent and dealt with everything that they had to. Thought that was probably Robertson’s best game for us. Looked very composed on the ball for a 17 year old. Dorrans is Dorrans. Rarely below a 7/10. Thought McGowan did well again playing in a strange role for him. We’re a much better team with him in there. Mackie was excellent defensively. Both he and Marshall did a fantastic job in doubling up on McMullan and have him absolutely nothing all night. Boy was flat out at the final whistle. We’ve all been critical of him this season but he should get a lot of credit for that performance last night. Johnson was quiet, didn’t really get much of the ball so couldn’t argue with him coming off for Nelson. Thought Hemmings was excellent. Worked his socks off and got us up the pitch countless times by winning headers from long balls up. If the lines woman hadn’t wrongly flagged him offside with 10 minutes to go I think he might have got us the winner. And finally, McPake tactically outclassed Neilson last night. Again, we’ve all been critical of McPake this season, saying that he doesn’t learn from his mistakes but I think last night shows that he is learning. Neilson schooled him in the last 2 derbies but McPake certainly won the battle of the managers last night and again i think he deserves credit for that. He’s clearly going to get time from the board so if he’s going to continue to show that he’s learning let’s get behind him!

  30. I don’t care if supporters hate a potential new manager, if he wins games that’s all I care about (and playing some decent football is a bonus). Appointing people to help get the fans back onside is nonsense reasoning for why people should get a job.

  31. This 3-5-2 or 5-3-2 is woeful and M and M need to stop it. We immediately look better when we move to a back 4 (usually 4-4-2). Why we took Tidser out the team and put Durnan in I have no idea. Miller would have been fine in the back line beside Toshney and Buchanan. The defence gives me the fear, there isn’t a straw between the lot of the them with Durnan being the worst. Mutch and McManus the only bright lights for me in this awful team. A lot of work for the management team to do.

  33. I got 9/2 on Arbroath at half time, having a smoke by the pie stand. Mon the Lichties! Well, that was nice. Never saw that coming. First time I've ever seen Arbroath, and got to say, I was impressed. For a part-time team their discipline and fitness was excellent. Caley were an absolute shambles. The day release party from Craig Dunain that were sitting next to me constantly moaned about the number of Arbroath staff that were in the technical area. How bad has your team got to be when that's the thing that fires you up. I was particularly impressed with the 7ft lone striker. No idea if he's popular or not with Arbroath fans, but I thought he was good. The home goalie man of the match? Ha Ha Ha Ha . . . .

  42. I listened to Coletta Smith on BBC News tonight describing how The Treasury is looking at how to adjust current funding from population-based to needs-based criteria in order to divert future monies from London/SE to the Midlands/North of England. And therein lies an admission that Remainers had identified from Day One of Brexit; the problems of these regions almost certainly had f**k all to do with the EU, and everything to do with Westminster. But tell enough idiots enough lies and you can distort anything.

  43. Morton fans seemed to take O'Ware scoring very badly. We'll deserved win even though we invited a little too much pressure in the last ten minutes. McCall has done really well to get as much our of that group of players as he has. Good performances today from Penrice and Bannigan. Jones put in a hell of a shift as well.

  45. There were fantastic times at Brockville and it was where I first saw Falkirk at Andy Nicols testimonial and miss it mostly because I went as a kid and grew up there but the two most grim games I saw were there. Arbroath pumping us 3-0 and Clyde pumping us 6-1 When Falkirk do have a decent team and win important games the new ground can generate a great atmosphere. The playoff semi v hibs, beating old rangers in the league cup and beating Hearts in the league cup, Gows goal v the fifers in the last minute were all brilliant and generated a great atmosphere. We just need an exciting team.
