  3. Sitting in a pub in Inverness, full of young glory hunting teuchter rangers fans. Was excellent to see their joy of a Hamilton equaliser only for smiles to turn to frowns moments later. Aberdeen holding on for the draw is lovely. Me and a solitary dons fan giving it fist pumps, he went as far as shouting get it up ye to the young teuchters. Delightful!

  8. I'd like to give a massive shout out to the owners of C & G Systems and Stuart Carswell and Kyle Hutton who earlier today provided a wonderful visit and meet session at the stadium to my grand-daughter and a bunch of her excited primary school pals. They were shown all around the place, got to sit in the dressing rooms, had races on the pitch and took their packed lunches in Bar 72 where the players answered questions and signed autographs, etc., From the feedback I got, this appears to have been a great experience for the kids and an excellent bit of PR for DFC - thank you, and a huge well done to everyone involved.

  9. This pretty much nailed it. I think Moonster has missed the context of our criticism somewhat. The reality is that haveing watched what their is down here, our budget should be more than enough to blow it away. That piss poor management and execution has seen us not manage that doesnt change the fact. Lots of "good wee community club" type patter doesnt change the fact that almost all of the teams are fucking torture. We have leathered a few of them, but even in games where we have huffed and puffed like Forfar away, the opposition had absolutely nothing about them, and thats the opposite of what we were told it would be. We were told that type of fixture would be difficult. The reality of it was only our own lackadaisical attitude and negative arsehole manager made it any harder than it needed to be. I love Scottish football. I watch it ahead of English or any other league. But I am under no illusions that any of the leagues are of top quality. The simple fact is people talked up this league as being some under rated potential cut throat nightmare to get out of. The reality is that most of the teams are fucking crap and the only way we dont go up is if we spectacularly blow it, because money talks.

  13. Unpopular opinion amongst my group of pals certainly, but I think so many well meaning (and not so well meaning) people are obsessed with seeing political discourse through the social media tit for tat bubble, and completely neglect the day to day, real life stuff. I’ve hopefully managed to turn a couple of family round to voting SNP just by understanding their priorities/concerns and suggesting why I think voting my way would benefit them. Not enough people taking the time to put their phones down, engage with friends and family who are undecided/apathetic and have proper conversations. In my experience, as much as these things can be discussed, your average man/woman turns off when people start banging on about fascists, media conspiracies etc. One of the big reasons it’s not going to go well next week, IMO.

  19. I was expecting a tough match tonight but for the first time in a while Saints were not hard to beat. They offered very little going forward as well. Hylton was class for us again and the work rate of Polworth was incredible in forcing Saints to go longer.

  24. What’s the deal with Marshmallo? Is he generally just a wee fanny? He didn’t agree with my statement about our game v Linlithgow and since then he’s been jumping on and red dotting my posts. But not just football related ones, ones related to my daughter, health etc. Really fucking tragic if you ask me. Is he normally like that or no?

  30. The NHS thing will go as follows. The Tories open up the contracts to supply drugs etc. American companies begin to squeeze their way in setting the price. Healthcare system becomes more costly to run, NHS becomes more selective about who they give drugs to, or whay drugs they will prescribe. The service itself will begin to miss more targets and the consensus will be the the quality of service is in decline. More and more people will be helped along by the media into beliveing that a wee private healthcare policy to supplement your NHS entitlement is a good idea. Just a common sense thing to protect your family etc. Repeat the above cycle on a permanent loop until it is completely normal and every has, to one degree or another, a private healthcare policy. Defund the NHS to just the right level to keep that cycle self propelled. It will take years to reach the point of being defunct, but if they get years, thats how they will do it.

I feel over the moon, and in the words of Ally Graham “Ah just cannae believe it”. 3 birdies, 3 bogeys and 12 pars - 44 stableford points in windy conditions with 32 putts. Caddy - hand me my beer!

  36. I can think of one. One who said that he'd support Remain, then said he'd support Leave. Who said that Leaving would mean a government being dragged down in years of negotiations then said the government would be able to negotiate an exit agreement within 11 months. Someone who voted against Teresa May's deal but who voted for a similar deal that was actually worse. A man who said that there would be no border in the Irish Sea yet who supports a deal which does just that. Someone who said we'd be leaving the EU, Deal or No Deal on October 31st. Quite a lot of flip flopping there. Compared to Corbyn, Johnston is even more all over the place. Not that the media ever bring it up as much.

  41. If Clubs want to be licensed this will be one of the effects with midweek games being posted and such fixtures will have to be fulfilled. Clubs complain about the Junior Grade not being professional but when we try to move on the complaints start. All associations above the Junior Grade in the pyramid have midweek fixtures so let's move on and try to become more professional and not stuck in the dark old days.
