  2. I removed it, the thread was a disgrace, a few people need to take a good look at themselves.

  6. Using yesterday’s terrorist incident to justify their capitulation is pretty terrible too. Their conduct in this election campaign has been an utter shambles.

  8. Nah. Canny be voting for a party that supports Trident renewal to the detriment of society and fights for freedom in many countries yet denies Scotland which has a triple lock mandate the right to choose it's own path.

  10. I once got that smiley face with the words 'over-carried, please take home'. I missed my stop at Lairg (having been chatting to a wid for ages) and got told to get off at Golspie and wait in the pub for 3hrs until the train with another guard came back down from Wick. On the trip back: "Ladies and gentlemen, we are now approaching Lairg. If you have a ticket for Lairg, this is where you should alight this time around."

  11. Saints were excellent today. Very positive and impressive in possession. Night and day in comparison to Ross Co, St J and Hamilton. Fingers crossed you have more luck in front of goal [emoji106]

  12. HERE THEY ARE. The tension is palpable in the Premiershit as newly promoted Indophobe Mark Connolly is neck-and-neck with Salvo Mantalbano. SlipperyP will need to sort out that mess. At the other end, Silky's dreams of gold turn to shit as he's relegated, along with geasy and Peaky23 ... 8MileBU is in the play-offs. In the SWL, Tynierose finds time out of his busy scheduling writing fucking ridiculously impossible quiz questions to answer them as well. There's some Swiss bliss for Ross, and Ziggy's up too. pleslie99 makes the play-offs on QD. At the other end, The Captain goes down with his ship again, as does NotThePars. Me and Springy are in the play-offs. Not wanting to tell you job or anything Slippery, but only one team out of the 3 way play-off goes up! And in the bottom league, It was tricky to divide mathematics and CaspianChris, but the latter takes the title and the former is just promoted, along with deej. BigBo10 is in the play-offs and I'm not quite sure why NJ2 was so keen to see the tables since he gets hee-haw. Jacksgranda can confirm but there may be a new name on the spoon? So now I just need to pass you over to man's best friend's best friend, @SlipperyP

  14. Hmmm, I remember the days of Play Off questions that went the way of. How many oranges do I have on my mini tree given to be by my ex? and the classic. How many pair of shoes do I have in my lobby? I wonder why the association got a pro in...

  15. That is magnificent. It must be about as brief a gap as you can get between scoring and conceding, given that there's very little celebration of the equaliser, such is their haste to crack on and lose.

  18. I am not for sacking managers over and over but this one needs punted. I was all for letting him learn as he went on, because he appears to love the club and I think you need that. But time and time again, every time you think he has improved and learned he goes back and makes the same mistakes. It's just not working. He has signed a couple of cracking players on paper, but along side some utter dross. Nichol and Strachan need to take some responsibility for this too, they are meant to be the guidance. So @srw @Day of the Lords @Bigmouth Strikes Again @Dele @G_Man1985 Am I forgiven?

  21. Judging by that excitable wee volley of posts, the Killie boeys will be dining out on this famous draw in the capital for a while. We'll let them get on with it, we'd all be the same if we hadn't seen us win at a ground in over five years.

  25. Its shite being a Dee isn't it. I don't mean this as cheeky or insulting, and hope/don't think it reads this way. Some people are positive, and see things that reflect that, theres nothing wrong with that. People will no doubt think Im negative, but I honestly don't think I am, I think Im nothing more than utterly realistic, I believe people earn trust, respect etc, everyone starts at zero, and can gain positive or negative points. For some people thats wrong, but its just my viewpoint, and McPake has never been in the positive points. I don't believe in loyalty, apart from family and close friends. I once sacked a mate from work two months after being on holiday with him, and sacked another mates son, because it was the correct thing to do. So wanting a poor manager sacked is easy for me, McPake deserves nothing from the club, he is an employee, hopefully an ex employee soon. If you're positive, stay positive, its what works for you.

  26. What an absolute shower of shite we have. A squad with No balls, no spine, no guts, no pride. Okay so we go a man down - that should not lead to a complete capitulation. We’ve been dreadful for years and inexplicably, one of the the main culprits is currently an assistant manager. What a club.

  27. That was torture! Not sure I ever need to do another one of those now it is ticked off the bucket list. From about 32km on it was a real struggle. Cardio was alright as I went slowly but legs were not happy. Could hear the U2 concert and Bono singing Beautiful Day when I was at 26km was just taking the piss. Very pleased I have completed one but my feet and legs are wrecked. Also, the 25C was a forlorn hope...was 28C pretty much the whole way round.

  28. We are fucking shite and it's all down to that fucking idiot Nelms. Get mcpake to f**k tonight and get on your knees and either beg strachan or fucking suck him off to get him in until the end of the season, either way that's the only way to save yet another clusterfuck of a season

  30. McPake [emoji23] Anyone of our three previous incumbents would have had us in a better position by now. I can't remember a manager to extract so little from what is on paper a decent squad. Get him fucking binned.

  31. Pretty poor so far but we’re comfortably 2-0 up. Stranraer look fucking terrible again though no idea how they beat Dunfermline last week. Both goals came from cracking crosses into the box. Longridge for the first but Dixon for the second was an absolute belter of a ball in. This games as good as over can’t see them getting back in the game but we still need to up it for the next couple of games. Not a lot to say positively or negatively about the players but think McManus has been fantastic looks totally transformed from the player we’ve seen the last few weeks. Work rate has been fantastic and is looking after the ball much better.

  34. Earlier in the century it was still common for people to try to climb into grounds at big games or lift kids over turnstiles... Not really by 1980s AFAIA (partly as security had been ramped-up). This was an all-ticket match and it isn't thought meaningful numbers of ticketless fans tried to gate crash. It was an FA Cup SF (not played at Wembley in those days) so Liverpool and Nottingham Forest each had 2 stands. Basically facilities were outdated and crowd management techniques crude to non existent. That end of Hillsborough was poorly designed with insufficient turnstiles, signage, layout etc. Liverpool had almost 25,000 tickets served by 23 turnstiles but within this the 10,000 capacity terracing only had 7 turnstiles. Both of their stands were also accessed from the same street. Side stand was all-seater and end stand was 2-tiered with seating above and terracing below... Due to hooliganism which had developed since 1970s the terracing was fenced along the front and divided into 4 pens (this happened across the country to stop fighting and pitch invasions). As kickoff approached a crush developed outside the turnstiles (but not due to rioting nor large numbers of fans without tickets trying to gate crash). Some didn't arrive until shortly before kickoff, others had been held-up by roadworks and with 2 separate but adjacent turnstile blocks - 1 of which had some stiles allocated to the side stand and some to the end stand upper tier - many went to the wrong bit for their own ticket and had to turn back. Fearing a disaster outside, some exit gates were opened to alleviate the crush. Being unfamiliar with the ground most fans made for the central corridor under the seating deck. Both centre pens became overcrowded (but the overall terrace was still below capacity: the side pens were sparsely populated). As people at the back tried to get in, those at the front were crushed against the fencing and could not escape, because - being designed to stop pitch invasions - it was high and 'caged' with few exit gates and roll-over top. Tragically almost 100 people died while over 700 received injuries. Some might have been saved but the ambulance service response to the disaster was also mishandled.
