  5. Because they'd lose any referendum that had been secured by such an agreement. If the SNP are seen to be acting tactically, cynically and with their own political interests rather than that of the nation with respect to a Brexit deal that by the SNP's own communications would make a lot of people worse off, then they'll only alienate a large tranche of voters they'd require to win IndyRef 2. The SNP have no choice but to play this with a straight bat, no matter what machinations the Stuart Campbells of this world imagine there is.

  10. Was dead for over 24 hours hence police involved. Liver failure, no surprise there. I ended up admitting myself to hospital last week because of all the shit with this, work, family and more. I did do the right thing, I knew I was going to hit the bottle hard and not give a f**k so before I started I went and got help. Still feel like shit, still more upset than I expected to be, but still sober and alive!

  13. This entire Troll Accounts posting history summarised in one self-written sentence. It has no idea what the tripe it's copy and pasting really means, but by damn it'll copy and paste it anyway, and if it was the wrong context / doesn't back up the trolling / is a complete lie, no matter, just continually ignore it and move on to the next c&p job. Rinse and repeat. Genuinely bewildered as to why people continue to engage directly with it.

  14. I also think mind you that people are just completely fed up with the whole thing and have switched off. Same grounds been covered for weeks on end now and I must admit I don't come on here much as its just the same old same old over and over again. Roll on a final decision or a some decent fitba so we can talk about something else.

  15. Built the clubhouse up at Stirling for the youth academy for hee haw and that must have cost a pretty penny. I'm no fan of the MSG but I also don't see why SA should keep pumping cash into a football club even if he supports the side. People seem to expect fans with a bit of dough just to hand it over. He's a Falkirk fan so why the heck would he want ill for the club he's backed all his life? I wish to hell we had a board like St Johstones as we'd be in the top flight the now and not languishing in the third division. Got a bit of luck to start with I will admit in that they managed to get Tesco to build them a whole new ground in return for the land at Muirton and didnt seem to have the same complications we had with a council putting barriers up at every opportunity. However, they have made a lot of decent decisions on the managerial and recruitment front since then and thats why a club with small crowds in a city that isnt really interested in football has managed to become regulars in the top flight of Scottish football winning their first ever national trophy on the way. We on the other hand have had one shit manager after another ,signing dreadful player after dreadful player due to our bod not having a scooby about football.

  16. Thats actually a great deal for NI, best of both worlds. NI voted to stay in EU and they, in theory, get to. Businesses, agriculture in NI will be pleased with this. The DUP, biggest party, in NI should be delighted that they can offer the people of the province this great opportunity... But.... The Fleg

  19. Where are you getting that information from, because it's simply not true. That blue car indicating coming off that roundabout is courtesy to the grey car to avoid them playing a guessing game of which way he's going to go. There's no lanes on the roundabout to indicate that he's likely to be exiting where he does. With the amount of clowns about who don't indicate, the blue car signalling where he's going avoids any doubt and lets the traffic flow. Just use your fucking indicators, people.

  21. Bankies will be holding a collection for new christmas toys to help disadvantaged kids enjoy a bit of Christmas cheer this year. A toybank collection will be held on 7th December during our home game with Troon. West Dunbartonshire Foodshare is a brilliant organisation which helps some needy people. Its a stark reality that some kids wake up on christmas morning with nothing and as a club which cares about its community we believe the small gesture of fans donating toys may make a big difference to those with so little. It’d be great to see clubs maybe consider similar collections for kids in their own area and show that as community clubs we look to give back and support. We’ll be putting more out on social media etc in the run up but please consider a donation of a new toy to help!!

  30. Feels like our biggest league game in years tbh. As shite as two out of the three might be, beating Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen in the first quarter and going seven points clear in 3rd would be massive. The league in general is so weak this year that I think we'll almost definitely finish top six if we win on Saturday. A ~9 point gap on 7th obviously isn't unassailable but barring a total meltdown from us I don't really see 4 teams going on a run and catching up. Bearing all that in mind, 2-0 Aberdeen.

  32. Good. I struggle to cope with the likes of Francois, Baker and the 'spartans' patter. They're small men on a big stage and one of the worst outcomes of the entire Brexit debacle has been the raising of their profile to catastrophically high levels.

  34. The SFA have made it very clear over the last 2 years about just how "special" they think we are. The jewel in our crown, by any measure, is the youth and community structure. After the ridculous excesses of the nineties when foreign players were signed on the basis of a demo video tape for £10k a week at the likes of Livi and Dundee, it became trendy 15 years ago for provincial clubs all over the country saying that the ladder sytem was their route to survival. Some (Falkirk, Hamilton & Ross County better examples) actually got it going and had players come through the Academy to first team. But the pressures of winning for a share of the growingly distorted prize money meant inevitably that clubs had to buy in experience, with debatable talent. Queen's Park have done exceptionally well making a silk purse out of a pig's ear for as long as we can remember. That resilience shouldn't be underestimated. The core of the business plan should be built around that with expenditure seen as investment rather than an operating cost. I think the biggest hurdle the committee will have is not a business plan per se, if it's just based on financial management and devlopment of the club, but more about the constitution and current Committee/Member structure. There are endless books on airport shelves along the lines of "Is a CEO of a £10 million business what is needed for a £100 million business." After 350 pages, the answer is always no. There must of course be a transition period but QPFC will have to evolve, especially if the ambition is for growth rather than just survival.

  36. To be fair he could definitely have framed this in a less bizarre way but the sentiment behind it is bang on. The amount of soft as shite, prima Donna youths this country produces is embarrassing. Boys that chuck it at the slightest criticism and are not even that good to begin with but too arrogant to listen to advice on how to improve. The Spanish in-house system develops players right through from youths to first team (another big fault of ours is the disconnect from youths to senior team). Far far better than the shite we are churning out.

  40. If the club had said at the start of the season they were creating a family section nobody would have thought much of it. The fact that the statement has come after the worst performance of the season at the end of which, the DoF exchanged words with an angry supporter in what is part of the newly created family section says it all.

  41. Yes there was a lot of shouty people claiming he was the messiah , now strangely quiet or saying they are 'bored'. What has changed is simply the time it has taken has led to fans getting frustrated, starting to doubt him, with massive holes & contradictions appearing in his story & the charm offensive is wearing real thin. If this had been concluded quickly there would be no such mood change, at this point. As it is the mood has changed and now MC is also getting frustrated by all the doubters & uncomfortable questions , a rod he made for his own back by engaging everyone on Twitter. His mask has slipped slightly in the last few days as he bites back. I don't know if he is still going to be successful, if he is he will be under some amount of scrutiny from the start. I have never trusted him and my only agenda is for us still to have a football club in 3 years time.

  43. I'm not sure if it was mentioned on here as I can't really be arsed reading all the shite posted daily repeating the same stuff but in slightly different ways but I was sat next to SA and MR at Starks park as both were in the away end. It seems they aren't really afraid of what folk think or will say to them and generally speaking neither would I be. The all talk brigade is good for a laugh. I will enjoy sitting with my child and watching whatever "protest" happens in the next 2 games. £100 says I'm not impressed.

  44. As predicted, Caldwell emerges with his sob story. The only surprise is that it was SOD of all people blowing smoke up his arse and not one of the resident cretins. Staggering hubris as usual. It's blatantly obvious the guy cannot abide anyone questioning him, he was bristling at MacIntyre on a number of occasions. His pathetic attempts at deflecting responsibility were truly something to behold tonight - like suggesting everyone at the club wanted rid of Doolan and then when quizzed on why his team often folded like a pasting table, suggested that this was merely down to chance like conceding a corner from a stray shot. He saved the best until last though when stating that he is more suited to managing at international level, letting the mask slip with the snide comment that he doesn't understand Championship players because he never played at such a level. A deluded, arrogant and frankly unlikeable character who, thank the fucking Lord, is on the dole.
