  8. I once met a guy who claimed that he was homeless. Upon further inspection, I found that he had constructed a shelter from cardboard boxes, therefore he wasn't really 'homeless' was he. I am very clever.

  9. what I find amusing about the mcpake situation is how many dabs seem to have climbed on the moral bus...forgetting that they once stood singing songs about a boy who was up for raping a comatose bird.

  12. Tuned in earlier on in the week and was "shocked" to hear that the real victim in the Ryan Christie assault was Ryan himself. They had his Father on to confirm he's "not that kind of a player" so ignore his horrendous challenge and feel sorry for him because he got a bit of abuse on twitter. They also had Lewis Ferguson's Father on to confirm that Lewis is "not that kind of a player" after another of his wild lunges earned him a red card. It's maybe going to be a new feature to get a parent on to defend red card offences.

  13. 1) The SNP don't have a majority in Glasgow 2) The SNP don't have a majority in Edinburgh 3) The majority of Scottish businesses are not based in our 2 largest cities. 4) There aren't 600,000 business parking spaces that would be subject to a workplace parking levy in Glasgow & Edinburgh combined. There are only just under 3 million vehicles in the whole country, so I doubt that 20% of them are employed by Glasgow & Edinburgh businesses with private car parking 5) You appear to be refusing to address the fact that the ability to levy this tax has been available elsewhere in your precious UK for more than 10 years. Why? That's five major mistakes in 26 words, without even including the misuse of elipses. You need to improve your trolling.

  14. Give them a feckin chance like, 3/4 years in the junior grade, things don’t happen overnight, took Darvel years to get their park up to a decent standard, in fact if it wasn’t for the dressing room upgrade then you could say it’s still poor, fact Darvels ground is only 2 sides from a spectators viewing, cut the crap guys, you dropped 2 points so resort to bringing the opposition set up down, arrogance & immaturity in abundance

  18. You really do know f**k all. In the big picture £39 billion is a drop in the ocean. This "they need us more than we need them" argument needs seriously challenged - a market of 60million is more than important than a market of 300+ million. It's not rocket science to realise which one is more important. The constant threat of No Deal as a negotiating weapon is flawed - it's playing Russian roulette with a gun with 6 bullets and we threaten shoot first - a threat where only we get seriously hurt.

  22. It's because they've forgotten how to drive. Slip roads are becoming a nightmare. It's like people have forgotten that the purpose of a slip road is to build up and match your speed to join the motorway. This accompanied with local authorities making them one lane only to make them 'safer' meaning you can't overtake the slow twats. They've no comprehension just how dangerous joining flowing 70mph traffic is at 40mph but in their heads they're being safe by going so slow because we all know speed kills. All the time.

  27. I can beat that. Headed off to the Lochee United v BSC Glasgow Scottish Cup game via Ladbrokes. Gave up putting a line on as the stupid English based bookies had Lochee away to Dundee Violet in the league. Arrived at Thomson Park to find the gates locked. Fuxache!

  29. This result comes as absolutely no surprise; Arbroath's fans bizarrely seem to think they are some sort of revolutionary part-time outfit on the basis of them cantering the weakest third-tier in at least a generation last season. This season, it's by far the strongest it has been in that time, and The Famous Bully Wee still look set to make a splash.

  39. It is somewhat fitting on the day that Eliud Kipchoge achieved a momentous achievement for mankind, that MSU has broken all records and won back-to-back titles and his 20th (TWENTIETH) gold medal. Tynierose has also equalled the record for the most number of 2nd place finishes - he truly is the Buzz Aldrin of the quizzing world. A special mention to Silky Si McFly - always the bridesmaid, never the bride. At the other end, the Eddie "The Eagle" Edwards are Helpma and me. Edmund's down on QD and The DA is in the play-offs. In the SWL, CaspianChris has Sevco'ed his way back to the top shop, MixuFixIt is promoted, and Mark Connolly has bounced back from quiz admin duties to clinch the 3rd promotion spot, edging German Jag into the play-off. Down go Ross, blackislekillie and The_Kincardine, and NJ2 stumbles into the play-offs. And to the BWLBHL league, wastecoatwilly's 3rd bronze sees him promoted along with James and mathematics, with the Captain in the play-offs. And it's a double spooning for SlipperyP. I'll let Jacskgranda do the honours since I think he's got the spoon saved to his dektop.

  44. Absolutely. It’s almost as if they want us to revere Alan Rough and Tam McManus for deigning to “talk about” the lower leagues. Take four vaguely successful Scottish footballers with zero charisma, even lower IQ, and stick them in front of a TV camera to talk unchallenged for half an hour about cleaning boots. It requires zero thought. We’re supposed to be grateful. The absolute nerve. This is why Sportscene and Sportsound have gone to the dogs -albeit not to this extent. People with no respect for their audience.

  45. Council put up £ for new 3G pitch with lights, pavilion etc. Peebles Rovers and youth teams would have moved in. Each part of the town said "not in my back yard - build it in another part of town!"... ultimately resorting to garbage like disrupting dog walkers, spoiling open-air yoga, and attracting 'undesirable types'... after a few years stalemate £ got redirected to fill potholes.

  47. Not exactly the same schedule - what if Ireland played Japan first and Scotland had the chance to thump Russia first? it all could have been completely different. Also if people are going to cite the Ireland game as the ‘real reason’ for failure to qualify they should just change the format of the tournament to a straight knockout...
