  1. Thought we could have a thread to catalogue all the moments of diddiness, scummery and outright bigotry from the two cheeks of the Old Filth. One game in to the season and a cracker from each of them so far. This absolute shambles from the morons at Parkhead Then today, The Rangers fans caved in the roof of the disabled section onto the heads of those below, leaving a couple of dozen fans in wheelchairs needing to be evacuated. I'm sure over the course of the season, fans of every club will have many reasons to bump this thread. Scum and morons the lot of them.

  2. Sadly, I feel that this weekend's unsavoury shenanigans are just a warm up act. With Celtic going for 9 and possibly 10 in a row, the stakes have never been higher. Unfortunately, there is no low point for these two. Of course, the apologists are already out here with their 'oFFeNdEd sNoWFlaKeS' chat. The truth is none of us are offended by your bigoted behaviour, we just think you're a bunch of cretins.

  3. The same way as most other fans do - jump up and down, hug your mate, throw both arms up in the air, give the oppo’ fans a GIRFUY, start singing a team song.... or, invade the field, try for a selfie while doing it, smash a disabled section roof.... your call, cnut. Apologies for the final word, but seeing as how you are clearly saying that was an acceptable way to celebrate a goal, then, fully deserved IMHO.

  4. This is a very good post. The mentality seems to be that behaving like animals is more and more acceptable the bigger the game. The attitude is almost "how can you expect me to control my emotions on Old Firm day?!?". If your default when reduced to your basic urges is to sing about wading around in ****** blood, trampling over your own disabled supporters or booing a victim of racial abuse, I'd suggest you need to re-evaluate your life. Both sides enjoy when the other does something scummy, as it creates an excuse for them to do something scummy of their own using the caveat "aye but what about them".

  5. Yes, we get the advantage of pissing off every other team in Scotland. The seethe is what gets us through the season.

  6. Yeah, I can't get on board with using Hearts to wind up Hibs. Hearts are crybaby c***s who'll spend 30 years blaming others for their own obvious failings. Hibs are sound. IMO.

  9. Anyone queuing for an hour for food at the football - or willingly paying £4.50 for a fucking cheeseburger - should be locked up. Not Peterhead's fault you're insane.

  10. Long time lurker, first time poster! Go easy on me... Really enjoyed yesterday's game, with the obvious exception of how it finished. Felt like we were a well-drilled team playing with genuine direction and purpose across the park - something that I take real pleasure in saying, as I feel we've lacked that in a while. From the get go yesterday, it was obvious that each player and each unit of players knew exactly what they were tasked with doing: our full-backs on the overlap and hard in the tackle; midfielders disciplined in closing all and any space through the middle, disrupting the play and getting us quickly on the front foot; Durmus and Magennis racing to the flanks to give us width and real threat down each wing; and Mullen (then Obika) causing a nuisance with Andreau creating the chances from just off him. We looked a team with strength and presence - we defended well, broke up play and moved forward confidently and creatively as a team, trusted ourselves in the tackle, wanted to attack, took players on one-on-one and were happy to shoot when even the half-opportunity was there. It was really good to see, and should only get better as the team gels and more bodies come in. All our new boys impressed. Durmus carries himself and plays like Riyad Mahrez. As long as he doesn't cycle like him then we could be onto something good. Sam Foley gave us some bite and backbone in the middle and played well alongside Flynn. McLoughlin solid (bringing good balance at centre-half by being left-footed), and Obika a real presence up front when he came on - should've scored with the volley! Last season it often looked like men against boys often times with us. That wasn't the case yesterday, and if these four are indicative of the playing staff JG wants, then we should be a fairly decent outfit come September 2 and the closing of the window. Macpherson another positive from yesterday. The one issue though - and it's a nice enough issue to have - is over Stephen McGinn and where he now fits with us going forward. I personally wouldn't swap him in for any of the 4/5 midfielders we had yesterday, and worry he's holding us back when he does play: offering little going forward and often looking a bit off the pace. All in though, good start to the season. FWIW, Hibs I thought looked decent. Mallan, Allan and Horgan - when fully up to speed - will tear a few teams apart this season.

  11. Thank you, there is a lot of time & effort goes in to this particularly by my daughter Laura. We had a couple of Clyde fans watching yesterday & whilst it is primarily for EF fans we are happy to provide the facility for opposition fans too. We now have the equipment to be able stream from anywhere (4G signal & permission from the home team permitting) & hope to cover every away game this season. A big thank you to Graham Forrest at Clyde for his help yesterday.

  12. There’s a definitely a line between harmless, appropriate pitch invasions and the over-the-top, tinpot shite from today. I don’t see an issue with it on the last day of the season after a team’s won the league for example, but the past season or two there’s definitely been an increasing number of wee fuds thinking it’s acceptable to charge onto the pitch mid-game every time their team scores a goal. I remember from last season Falkirk fans running onto the pitch after scoring a goal in the 40th minute away to Morton for f**k’s sake. It just seems like all the wee Stone Island fannies are desperately trying to out-celebrate one another and the line between harmless fun and wee neds going over the top is getting broken more and more often. Climbing over the disabled section in the process, putting other supporters in danger and wrecking part of the stadium is a whole different kettle of fish though, but I shouldn’t really be surprised.

  14. These pitch invasions need to stop, that was utterly moronic today and could have seen some people hurt. I'd ban those involved and hope that the message gets through.

  17. This might be a very unpopular opinion on this thread, especially due to what transpired today with the unfortunate roof collapse on the most vulnerable (unable to vacate the area quickly). But, a very large proportion of OF fans are the absolute worst specimens of Scottish society.

  22. Do Kilmarnock, Hamilton and Livingston rent them out? Is it really professional approach? Our pitch is owned by the West Lothian Youth Foundation and is used for a lot of things within the local community. It is used for our 1st team and reserve team training, 1st team and reserve games too. It's used by a number of local teams too. After our game against Berwick Rangers there was an amateur game on an hour after the final whistle. Not only is it great and a sustainable option for Livingston, it's a huge benefit to the local community too. We don't live in a fantasy money land, the alternative of grass isn't just that. With grass comes 3-5 cancelled games a season, which you'd be the first to moan about, our alternative is not just to hire groundsmen (which we can barely afford). To further hammer it home, it's not even our choice, we don't own the stadium and we certainly don't have training facilities beyond the stadium. So if Celtic want to so graciously stump up the money, I'm sure Livingston will be 100% happy to put down a grass pitch if all other costs are met as well. Shouldn't be too much to find each season for a club about to sell a player for 25m, incidentally more than Livingston has turned over in every year of our existence (1995) combined.

  23. That stand was built in 1994. The roof has never collapsed before. The roof is there to stop the rain hitting people in wheelchairs. If people climb on it, it’s because they are fucking idiots. You can’t just step into it, you have to climb. The only people to blame for what happened are the half wits who jumped on it!

  28. Unfortunately I pretty much echo what his view is here. Although there is not much we can prove, apart from scraps of info and a bad vibe around his history, I just don't buy his I'm just a football fan and I want to fix this. I would actually have preferred if he came clean, told us he did a few deals that upset some and gave his side of the story. In my view he has dodged his way round any question that has been asked of his past with a shrug, a bad divorce story and an almost please believe me while telling the masses what they want to hear. It's pretty easy to read a forum and find out we don't like the decisions on the academy, pitch etc with a few added touches of fill in a stadium side and you get a disillusioned support on your side. Of course I want rid of Lex and his crew, but not for this, its a risk too far for me.

  31. You don’t get it mate, we are not your rivals, we don’t care how long you’ve been together, you are not in our thoughts yet, Pollok, Beith, Hurlford are. Once you get to the top table and compete come in, but at the moment you are aspirational, that’s different from being there.

  32. The absolute dearth of regionalist argument in evidence again. No longer even any pretence at the UK being better together anymore - it’s entirely “yes, it’s bad, but not as bad as trying to govern yourselves”. Are UKNats not even the slightest bit dismayed that since 2014 their own nationalism has reduced their economic case for dependence to this? You bent the knee, you waved your Union Jack, you professed loyalism to precious precious dependence, and the English and Welsh still elected to fling you under the bus and reduce you to this.

  33. Surely it's about time anyone outside the US stops giving a shiny shite when some impotent loser with an AR15 decides to kill 20 people. The President and Government are totally in thrall to the NRA and the majority of the population are against having their Second Amendment rights fucked about with, even though a significant number of them are probably going to be shot by some nutter as a direct result. The entire USA should be given a Darwin Award.

  34. Agree that you’d expect it to be able to hold a couple of guys however watching it back there are 4 on it with a 5th climbing up which in fairness to the club I’d not really expect a temporary roof to be able to hold. That issue alone isn’t worth getting all the attention however it’s just one a series of issues on the day. From the usual behaviour around the ground (chucking empties in the street and gardens around the ground, pissing in people’s gardens, shouting abuse at everyone, signing Sectarian songs, etc..). To then their behaviour in the ground where they forced open the Chadwick stand gates and the mob ran in, to sitting in the home end shouting abuse at everyone, jumping on this roof and injuring one of their own support, jumping on the roof of the building at the side of the Frank Beattie stand, the pitch invasion and continuing the Sectarian song book it adds up to why most other supporters think they are an absolute shower. To be fair though I’ve seen the same or a variation on it from your lot as well.

  36. Unless the club put on a deal or two again this year, this is likely to be the first year in many years that I've not been to a single home game. I refuse to pay £24 for any game of football, never mind one in the championship. Probably just keep going to see east craigie for my live football fix. Bus up, ticket in, a peh, an twa pints for less than a ticket to Dens would cost? Fuckin right.

  40. Rovers looked decent yesterday. What a job Harper has done a Cliftonhill. I would be a touch concerned about the Rovers defence; The centre-back pairing looked a bit vulnerable to high balls coming through the middle; not sure Lynas' best position is right back, either. A side better than Stenny would have made you pay for a few mistakes made. But a great start to the season and with a fair wind fourth shouldn't be beyond that group of players. Report

  41. I’ve never had a problem with Hibs or Hibs fans. Same with Aberdeen. Can’t think of any big controversies, or any reason for there to be bad feeling between Saints fans and Hibees or Dons fans. Some elements in the Hearts support still blame us for them shitting the bed in ‘86. Allied to the fact we keep beating them in assorted cup finals and semi finals, then they just don’t like us much. Having said that, on my way back to the car after the 2013 League Cup final, a passing Jambo shook my hand and said ‘best team won, well done’. There’s good guys and wanks in all supports.

  42. Your opinion means nothing. Why are you trying to create a rivalry with Talbot? There is none, you are in the league below us, you have never won anything that we compete in. Think you need to learn to walk before you run and show some humility and respect.
