It's really no skin off my nose if it doesn't go particularly well on here, I have two kids with autism so find it a nice way to relax during the rare downtime that I get, and if I can make a bit of cash from it, then I'll not complain. I think Clyde have the weirdest supporters in Scottish football. They are as thick as junior fans, as angry as Rangers fans and as deluded as Celtic fans. They champion a rapist, support a racist and revel in the death of a popular Scottish football legend. It was hilarious watching them working themselves into a frenzy over Wednesday’s game. They looked devastated when they were leaving Firhill at full time. Our fans couldn’t have cared less.

I doubt our chances at the moment but there are a fair few teams in the league this year that will be slightly less shit than us and we will hopefully have one or two still to come in. Don’t want to put a huge emphasis on a run of games so early in the season but the first four matches - ICT (H), Partick (A), Dunfermline (A), Dundee (H) are going to be massive. Really not sure what to make of it all but that is probably more to do with my standard pre-season anxiety. It doesn’t help that Dundee do seem to be going about their business pretty well and have made some solid signings. A large part of my season anxiety/nerves/anticipation is taken up by wondering how they might get on and how we do in direct competition with Dundee, and I don’t mind admitting that.

Man City registered 98 points this season and won the league by a point. Celtic took 87 points and won the league by 9. Football isn't a science. If we win the league then McKinnon has done the job that's been asked of him over the summer.

I don't remember Colin Hosie putting it in exactly those words, but reading between the lines that's what's happening. I'm quite content for the board to take care of the club at the expense of the league. There should have been more consideration of where the money was going when we were enjoying the wealth of the championship.

Got some genuine questions as I’m starting to find it all a bit confusing. If Mr Campbell is the con artist that some are trying to make him out, what does he actually stand to gain from taking us over? Would John Park get involved if there was no money? We are currently at our lowest point for 40 years, with a board we want rid of, little to no money in the bank and no academy to plug the holes. We don’t own the whole stadium so surely he can’t flog that so If Mr Campbell is a con artist what’s the worst that could happen? I know nothing about the guy and there’s stories flying around everywhere but if he’s true to his word we are looking at significant investment in the team with the aim of getting back to the premier league for the first time in over a decade, finishing the stadium, bringing back the academy and improving facilities around the ground. I want to be excited about this...

Right, bit of a random one this, but... I'll be working up in Dundee next month, and possibly for quite a bit longer, and I need to a team to adopt. A lifetime of supporting Shrewsbury Town and Scotland has naturally accustomed me to unrelenting joy and success. I will therefore be glory-hunting the Dees, seeing as they're clearly the better of the city's two clubs for reasons which are far too obvious to list here. How does this all work exactly? Is the Derry or Provie Road better for atmosphere these days? Also, what about pubs? From memory most of them seem to hedge their bets by having a mixture of Dees/Arabs memorabilia on the wall, but are there any which generally belong to fans of one team or the other for TV games, matchday pints, etc? I think this Saturday will be a cracking indicator of where we'll be this year. Forfar looked to have overcame a potentially horrendous summer losing some key players, but they've done well and replaced well, and IMO look stronger than last year! If we can start with a win (or even a point tbh) it won't be a bad start and we can draw some optimism from that. Obviously I want Airdrie to do well, but I actually want Murray to succeed, IMO he's a likeable guy, speaks reasonably well and doesn't sugar coat things. So for these reasons..... I'm in.
