Feel for KJ and DW in all this, were asked by ML and CC to put a fan ownership scheme together, did so, found patrons and fans willing to donate cash in its bucket loads, then took it to the AGM and got backing from an overwhelming number of shareholders to carry out the work required for the next stage, did further work to put this in place then found out through a club statement that the club were now talking to other investors.....howerver this turns out the work they put in and the blueprint they produced should be applauded.22 points

At least you got a reply from them. I had an interview 8 years ago with a company near Leicester and they never got in touch with me (including me emailing and phoning them) to tell me how it went. Hate to brake it to you, but I don’t think you got the job.12 points

Folk on the train, who have a full Greggs or Subway ‘banquet’ and then just leave all their shit on the seat or table for some other poor fucker next to sit there, to either endure or dispose of. Pastry flakes, half eaten bread crusts, oozing sauce sachets, empty pop bottles etc.. Just stick it in the bin or bag it up and take it home, you lazy, jakey arseholes.12 points

10/10 for me too, with a couple of 50/50s going my way. That's put a zip in my step. So I'm not going to ruin it by getting a lacklustre score in the "Comedy" quiz.9 points

Every time the missus asks ‘you working from home today’? Aye I say. ‘In that case would you mind putting a wash on, then putting them out to dry, walk the dog, do the ASDA shop and drop this parcel off at the post office, oh and if your just nipping into town could you pick up some dry cleaning for me?? She thinks it actually means you’ve got the whole day off!?7 points

A competitive first team is always going to be the most important thing for me. The stuff on the park stuff will shape the club to a large extent. If we end up in the Lowland League, as an amateur side, I fear we'll even find it difficult to compete at that level. Income dwindles, there's definitely no meaningful youth system and fans drift away. I don't like it any more than anyone else. Ideal scenario would have been amateur contracts for a full season and playing at Hampden. The loss of both of this things makes things enormously difficult. The lower league setup is evolving and we're going to have to do the same if we want to compete. We're never going to lose our history and heritage because evolution doesn't delete the past. We have a professional manager and have had professionals play for us. The amateur purity is long gone and we have to put ourselves in the strongest position to retain league status and become a greater part of what is an increasingly vibrant southside community. I fully respect that the amateur status is important to a good number of people and I'm certainly not dismissing or disrespecting that view. I just don't see it as a viable solution to us being as strong as we can be as a club. It is a proud history, but wasn't, and isn't, something that defines my support of the club. That comes simply from Queen's Park being my local team.7 points

It's worth mentioning that you often begin a post with "it's worth mentioning" despite the fact what you actually post is very rarely worth mentioning.6 points

It’s not Hartley. Can’t name any names obviously. In completely unrelated news I didn’t realise Lee Makel is coaching at Hibs.6 points

This encapsulates (part of) Scottish football perfectly. A 350 year old Irish battle, stoked up in the streets of Glasgow in the 20th / 21st century for commercial gain by "their" clubs, being re-enacted in Turkish pleasure boats in some nightmarish "Spanish Armada" nonsense by people a few sandwiches short of a picnic. Sadly it seems they didnt sink each other..............6 points

Yep. He is so far from being the 'snake' that Chris Sutton claimed. McGinn saw what was wrong and, if it took going behind Stubbs' back to fix it, then fine. I know who I trust and believe more. Legend.6 points

Tbf the main problem with Falkirk was Hartley signed a bunch of players without actually doing his homework on them. A bit like fans watching a 2 minute YouTube compilation and thinking a player is a superstar. With Dunfermline probably not having as much money you’d think Crawford will be a bit more cautious when it comes to bringing players in so will do a bit more work on them. I can’t speak for all of them but Kyle Turner is a tremendous piece of business. He looked really good when we won the league and McCall was keen on bringing him in at the same time he signed Bell. I think his stock has only grown since then and he’ll have improved as a player so it was going to be hard to get him to Ayr.5 points

I really hope that the Spartans players are being serious when they’re calling Jamie Dishington a snake and are indeed seething that he’s moved to a much bigger club. A supreme diddy club that think they’re some sort of big time because they once reached the 4th round of the Scottish Cup. I hope we pay them the £300 compensation that they desperately need.4 points

You'd suggest that means 100k. He's just helped us earn at least an extra 700k by keeping us in the league. I'd make him the highest earner, extend contract and be looking for at least half a million. Of course he would need to agree........4 points

I don't see this as a disaster for Alloa. A blow yes, but not a disaster. The key person seems to be the chairman who always ensures they have a healthy budget and a good manager, it can't be coincidence that Alloa haven't had a bad season for quite a long time now: managers and squads change, but the one constant is the chairman / board. Though I'm sure you all miss George Grieve. Whatever happened to him? Let's have him as a Honorary Guest for our Betfred Cup tie. The subs can all blast balls at him at half time for charity.4 points

Agree with that. We have to aim the wrath at the MSG who have got off so lightly in all of this. ML and CC have undoubtedly made some big mistakes and they should go, but of all the people on the board and MSG, KK exempt, they have actually done some good. The fan ownership model was pushed forward, CC fought so hard to get that to a point where there was a chance of it being implemented. But, the MSG really did stab everyone in the back by moving the goalposts and being downright ignorant. Things like the SS bar, open days, cheap supporters buses, ‘safe standing’ idea all came from them in an attempt to try and give something back.4 points

In all honesty, it's gonna be the same way it always has. Opposition fan: "Think United will walk the league this year." *later* Opposition fan: "United aren't as good as they think they are, we can beat them." *later* Opposition fan: "lol United are shite. How the f**k did they think they would win the league with this rabble?"4 points
