  1. What a buzz, lads! We're over the moon. The last 13 weeks have been some laugh and I can't believe we're getting the chance to do it again next season. Until then, please watch the show tomorrow night - I've got a feeling it's going to be a cracker!

  2. Disappointed in this news TBH - I much prefer the traditional approach of getting my opinions on the Scottish game via the medium of a Keith Jackson column or listening to 60 year old guys on radio phone-ins telling us that everything is shite and that Scottish football is the laughing stock of the world.

  12. Good to see the knicker-wetting starting early. 1) The majority of players will be on holiday now. 2) Johnston has already pointed out that players can hold off to see if they get better offers. I hate to say it, but Queens aren't exactly going to be the most lucrative choice for players. If we have no other players signed by the middle of July I'll start to shit the bed. 5 days after our season finished, not so much.

  13. Youd think Partick and Dundee fans would learn... Wright last played in Novermber, in game he was involved in, St Johnstone picked up 24 points. Dundee picked up 21pts all season.

  14. So: we're potentially losing our player of the season (not that that's saying much) who we signed from fucking Woking, for nothing contractually, despite recent history of losing both our best striker for years and best creative player for years, for absolute buttons contractually. We also recently somehow managed a last-minute transfer window where we got rid of a keeper who's about to win a treble with Celtic for next to nothing, an excellent defender and ended up with Simon Murray who scored about 3 goals We desperately chase a pundit to take on the managers job and him allow to build a squad of pea-hearted losers Sack him and replace him with a manager who's assistant is probably the most despised ex-player we've ever had - somehow we fail to notice this Allow him to build another squad of pea-hearted losers Can't even approach Caley's manager without making a c**t of it Nelms is fucking useless and needs deposited directly into the fucking sea with virtually every player both those fuckwits have signed over the last 12 months. It's somewhat ironic that for the first time in my 35 years as a Dee we're actually quite stable behind the scenes, however the football side is as bad and as hopeless as I've ever seen it. And I include utters c***s like Dave "Coco" Smith and Kernaghan in that.

  17. Some classic Kincy here. If only actual football was as predictable.... Name the thread something controversial... Wait until someone mentions it.... Start trotting out googled pish and whataboutery re why its NO SECTARIAN!!!!(!(!(! (For context, a grown adult here) Its a shame that the West of Scotland will never be free of religious division while fucking cretins like this spend their days actively trying to find out how best to push the boundaries of intolerance without breaking the rules. Ironic that he also posts in the politics section of the forum considering he is the sites #1 proponent of the politics of hate. Sad, sad auld man.

  18. The Netherlands look to be implementing a Gentlemens agreement on youth players, stating that any club with an "elite" academy will not sign youth players from the rest. Designed to stop Ajax/PSV hoovering up all young talent, giving other clubs the chance to develop good young players and potentially sell them on for good money. A progressive country getting together and coming to agreement and giving it time to work or fail. What do we have here? Two teams frantically putting a new frock on the same old whore and sending her round the country in the hope someone will fling it up her, all the while ignoring the constant and unfaltering feedback of "we don't want to shag her m8".

  20. Lang could genuinely be a really, really good player - every Sons fan knows I've been tooting his trumpet for a while, but I honestly think he could have a very good future in the game. He's got everything you'd want in a modern centre-back: He's very confident on the ball, technically decent, strong, quick and good in the air. He's also extremely handsome (his Insta is sensational ) The only thing he lacks is experience. He'll maybe try and play his way out of trouble too often, or will get caught out of position and make up for it with a rash challenge. That'll come with time and, imo, he'd be a decent signing for a Falkirk team where he'll likely have time to play out from the back.

  21. Sounds very dodgy imho. Hopefully the league or the SFA step in and strip them of any recently won competitions, perhaps even going so far as awarding said competitions to whoever the runners-up happen to be? Happy to limit this to the last couple of weeks as a compromise

  22. To be fair to him, his mockery would have maybe been a bit more hard-hitting if Drey Wright was someone who couldn’t get a game for Colchester. Good effort though.

  23. Yeah I’d back that squad over a whole season, with a few additions to have us up near the top end of the league [emoji1360]

  24. Ive always grudgingly admired St Mirren supporters for sticking with their local club, it must be so easy to go glory hunting up the road to the twin arse cheeks, same praise must also go to Partick , Christ there's enough buses leaving tayside/fife. It must be so easy as a kid being drawn into that bigotry when it's right on your doorstep. [emoji106]

  25. Both teams tried hard but, let's be honest, neither are bringing anything to the big league next season. Why not just forget about Sunday, both these teams play in the championship, and the spfl do a raffle to select a random smaller club to take the final Premiership place for a novelty? Someone who's never likely to make the Premiership themselves, like an Elgin City, Annan or Falkirk.

  27. A perfectly capable left back that has played over 100 games across 8 years for Celtic, but aye, he's no good enough to fill in for 6 weeks during a season that Celtic absolutely cantered with cigars out for the last 2 months. Of course it's a talking point.

  28. Moving away from the serious stuff, another wee plug for the Rock Comedy Club which kicks off next Friday - https://www.facebook.com/events/520778938327100/ Really good line up at a good price, and it's another way to support the club for the coming season. As with anything, for it to continue on a regular basis it needs people to show up, so if you'd like regular comedy nights on in the town then get yourself a ticket.

  30. Larkhall away was never gonna be a tea and biscuits kinda day out in fact no tea at all which was fine as it was a bit hot for a warm drink . As I look back over the season it's been from a fans prospective or just mine a smashing season visiting some wierd and wonderful places indeed the season started in the tranquillity of lochee and ended in the volatile and hostile Larkhall so throughout the season I got the full monty of the microcosms of our cities and towns wonderful , dreadful and indifferent. Arthurlie,Darvel, Girvan,Kello, Kilsyth,Lochee and Irvine were smashing away days and I certainly will miss Girvan and Kello next season. Performance wise in truth I thought we were the same as our journeys wonderful , dreadful and indifferent but all that said it's gonna be a long 65 days without my candy fix and I will be there home and away every week as soon as it all kicks off again

  32. Voted at around 8.15 on my way to work. Polling station was dead. It's split into two sides based on address and you could tell both sides were desperate for me to go to them to have something to do. Does anyone else get the self-doubt immediately after they've posted the paper? I made sure where my cross was going, made absolutely sure it was going where I wanted while making sure it was clear and in the box; then checked again it went where I wanted after I'd done it...but there's still that nagging feeling. Totally irrational of course.

  33. What a hero. The genius of picking 3 players that are not too far out to be ridiculous shouts, but just right enough to be eaten up by the rovers fans... Take a bow sir. Heard Marv and Mark Campbell are coming out of retirement to sort our defensive troubles out..

  39. Football is decided by money these days as we know. Therefore, with United throwing cash left, right and centre there should only be one winner here. Dundees pathetic season is the reason to be disappointed, not the Dabs going up to participate in a relegation battle. Thank you.

  42. Aye , missed out Jim Bett as well. That was the team managed by Willie Miller that famously scored 7 at Patrick Thistle in the replay of the abandoned game, and then demolished Hearts 6-2 a few days later. Shearer bagged both match balls for hatricks Possibly the most exciting Dons team I’ve seen

  45. Caught between voting Green and SNP tomorrow. Green seems to be a bit of a wasted vote on this occasion which is sad. But they are also comfortably closer to my particular views at this time. A number of things have frustrated me with the SNP recently and I'm still somewhat annoyed at centralisation of emergency services as well as frustrated about targets around climate change with not enough policies on achieving these. However, the wasted vote problem is also weighing heavily on me.
