  1. The person writing that, and anyone agreeing with it are genuinely fucking dense. Jon Snow was a targaryen- Had a massive effect on the final season, his learning of his parentage and learning of his relation to Danny was a massive point in sending her over the edge. Jon's rejection of her due to him not being keen on incest evidently left her with absolutely no one to trust. You seen it when he rocked up to Dragonstone, Danny torched Varys due to him telling everyone about Jon being a Targaryen, she doesn't trust Tyrion anymore due to that and then when Jon shows up and rejects her advances she gives the "Choose fear" line, arguably if those wheels hadn't been set into motion, of Jon had stuck by her side she would've went into that final battle in a positive frame of mind, still trusted and listened to Jon, Tyrion and Varys and not torched Kings Landing. Resulting in her taking the throne. Jon being a Targaryen had no effect? Brann and the 3 eyed raven - Used pretty extensively in the seasons before, indeed if Bran wasn't the 3 eyed raven then would everyone have just believed Sam with regards to Jon's parentage? Danny Did amazing things for 8 seasons- the same could be said with regards to every character who died? What exactly is this point even meant to mean?! Prince that was promised - https://www.digitalspy.com/tv/ustv/a27524938/game-of-thrones-season-8-episode-6-prince-promised-azor-ahai/ Even then it wasn't as big a deal in the TV series as it was on the books, Melisandre trying to find the Prince that was promised resulted in Stannis going north, saving Jon and of course killing his daughter. Everyone teams up - Yes, to fight the dead. Pretty dece reason. Genuinely one of the biggest problems with Got is that the writing wasn't as clever as it was in earlier seasons, but then you have thick c***s like Nathan and it's understandable why they dumbed it down.

  2. A Protestant who supports any of the other 41 clubs in the SPFL is not a ***. A Rangers supporter (be they Protestant, Catholic, Muslim, Atheist, whatever) is a ***. Simple as that.

  3. This is the summer where I finally get over ICT hoovering up Rankin, Cowie, and Barrowman. Although, ICT offering better wages and/or paying a fee for a player was totally different to County doing it. Totally different. Like not even remotely similar.

  4. Incredibly impressed by the EoS once again. Three relegation spots so not trying to protect the top teams. Inter-conference matches as well. They're really being an innovative and forward-thinking organisation and they seem a great exception to the norm in Scottish football.

  5. No, **** means Rangers fans. In the context of Scottish football, it is not sectarian and I'm not letting them obfuscate it. Here's how they tried to ban '****'. UEFA repeatedly fined them for sectarian chanting in the 2000s. Their fans went "well if we canny sing about feenyins then you areny allowed tae sing about ****". Basically just reached for the first word that they didn't like, and stuck with it. Rangers fans are known as h-u-n-s. Simple as.

  9. Rushed shite. They spent longer on the ending than the episode. Dany has a speech, gets stabbed in the most ham fisted acting scene you're ever likely to see in a show with that budget, and it just turns into a fucking mess. Drogon burning the throne made absolutely zero sense, hes a fucking dragon, is he apparently meant to have understood the politics and what the throne represented? The embarrassing scene of a wee animatronic claw appearing to pick Dany up was brutal, btw, as was him simply disappearing in the night, they had absolutely no fucking clue how to deal with him. Grey Worm, who's spent the past three episodes clearly mistrusting Jon, while also having no self control, finds out Dany is dead after Jon visited her alone, and decides to lock him up for a couple of weeks, and also keeps Tyrion alive for a couple of weeks? Everyone just accepts Bran, who has done nothing to earn the throne, as King? Dorne just accept being kept under the rule of a leader they know absolutely nothing of? Why not declare themselves independent? Why the f**k was Tyrion the one who made the decision anyway? Jon ending up beyond the wall was fine, Sansa queen of the north feels perfect, Bran as King is just stupid, and makes no sense in the context of the show. Ayra slayed the greatest threat to mankind, then spent the next two episodes running away from dust, crying, and buying a boat. I'm glad its over so they cant ruin it anymore.

  10. Redundancies are a reality of business. Statements trying to placate the customer base of a business by telling them that people losing their job will mean they can invest the savings in another part of the business do not need to be a reality of business. Sad to see there's supporters who are fine with this statement from our failed Tory candidate chairman.

  16. Probably one of my favourite games of all time was the 3-2 away win at Tannadice in the playoffs last season. Absolute scenes after the third with the majority of the support barrelling over seats, folk getting pulled away by the stewards and then police. It's going to be a meaty affair with the Saints fans, they bring a great atmosphere and I'm hoping they stay up mainly for that alone. Best fans in the country without a doubt.

  17. ^^^^^^^^ Gutted didn't get fast tracked to LL. Fairly certain those THREE clubs yer referring to in the LL will have been given ultimatums. So in time you will get yer wish and they'll be penalised unless they get them pesky floodlights which until very recently yer own team never used and weren't anything to do with license requirements. It's been talked aboot countless times now regarding where they stand regarding licenses. Edit its shit what's happened to Bonnyrigg and very fortunate if ww are given a reprieve by the way.

  19. Not exactly. Previous managers have been very non-committal regarding the fate of retired players, or even of players who have called off. In fact, other previous managers have avoided the subject or obfuscated it with what amounts to a "we'll see". Clarke has stated an intention. This has actually been rare of late. Regarding the games in June. Other managers have sought to dampen expectation. Clarke seems to be taking charge. He has a vision. He wants to take Scotland to a major finals. He presents as a man confident in his own ability. Burley presented as weak and a bit terrified. Levein was insecure bluster. Strachan, if I remember correctly, was confident and did his usual bobbing and weaving with the media. I still think Strachan is unfairly maligned given some of the performances (Ireland at home, the Poland games and the Germany games) were excellent. Clarke saying that "we have to start picking up points and the June games are crucial" tells me that he thinks he can send a team out to get something. Other managers would have said "the game against Cyprus is crucial" and would have skipped over the Belgium game, talking about their quality etc. I could be projecting a bit and we'll see what he says nearer the time, but we haven't had a world class coach in charge for, arguably, decades.

  20. A few seasons ago we absolutely fucked Dundee United 4-1 and they had a full club meltdown, including grassing up Jim Goodwin on Twitter and our threads being infested by seething Arabs for months. Maureens was the big come back to the absolute merciless mocking they suffered and they've stuck with it.

  34. I don't expect miracles from Clarke. What I do expect is that he is someone who players will respect. When they turn up for national duty, they will be working for someone who has a vision, and who commands at least the equal level of respect as any of their club level managers (IMO that was sorely lacking) and his methods will be simliar and as such, understandable. I expect a methodical and pragmatic approach to setting our team up, sans stupid shoe horning of players. This is a guy who carries himself well, has high managerial and coaching stock, and seems to be well renowned for his relationship building with players. Its as good as we could do IMO and I am really pleased it's him. He is not afraid to tackle big issues aswell, so the serial call offs might think twice, and I would expect Clarke to push the SFA into invoking the appropriate rules on clubs he sees as taking the piss. Pretty happy tbh. The one and only bad point I see in this personally is the removal of Clarke from the league

So what if he killed some imposter bitch and pissed off a few dickless foreigners. f**k off back to Essos if you don’t like it mate. He is the king by right and instead gets sent on gardening leave to the north like a fucking failed sevco manager.

  40. Cue the seethe, especially from the old firm...... Kilmarnock FC is delighted to announce a FieldTurf Core playing surface will be installed at Rugby Park in time for the 2019/20 season. This high-quality synthetic turf is the most advanced on the market and is already used by Champions League semi-finalists FC Barcelona and Ajax at their training centres as well as at Everton’s Finch Farm complex. We are the first club in Scotland to use this technology on their first team pitch with advantages including optimum ball roll, reduced pellet spray, increased surface stability and improved general aesthetics. As well as the new turf system, Rugby Park stadium staff will benefit from FieldTurf’s Genius pitch monitoring system, which will maximise the longevity and safety of the surface. Director Billy Bowie said: "The season may just have finished but work has already started on the new surface and we can't wait for it to be christened when the team returns to action in the Europa League in July." Paul Fraser, Regional Business Director from Tarkett Sports, added: “We are delighted to be working with Kilmarnock FC to driver one of the most high-tech synthetic turf stadia in the world. We are providing the latest synthetic turf and infill technology to ensure the players have the most advanced playing surface available. “The FieldTurf Core system meets and exceeds the most stringent FIFA certifications and sets a new standard for elite synthetic turf in Scotland and beyond. In addition, the FieldTurf Genius pitch monitoring system will allow for expert cafe and maintenance of the playing surface over the lifetime of the field.” In mid-June, supporters will be able to buy parts of the current pitch for £5 per square metre with all proceeds going to the Kilmarnock Community Sports Trust (KCST). The Killie Trust will be assisting the club with this process and further information including the start of sales will be released in due course.

  42. I sometimes wonder if a lot of the non-OF clubs don't miss a trick and collectively look for tenders from online ticketing companies. The best package (financially and in terms of service) would cover all the clubs for a set number of seasons. That way, season tickets could be swiped at away grounds as well and there'd be a record of points amassed over the season, so loyalty could be rewarded when the big games come round. Probably different for Aberdeen, Hibs and to a lesser extent Hearts, who probably already have something similar in place as a lot of their away games are ticket only.
