Two years ago we had just managed to avoid a lowland league play off roll Forward may 2019 club promoted in front of a crowd of nearly 3K That's down to one man Norrie Innes and no Clyde fan should forget that he has grabbed our club by the bootlaces and revolutionised the infrastructure brought in a top manager and produced an environment where the acceptance of mediocrity isn't an option for everyone at our club directors management and fans we know have a united fanbase again something we have waited for 20 years God bless him

After that speech from Sir Steve I've no doubt he's moving on, almost certainly to the Scotland job. I know the success of teams you don't support is boring, but I can't thank Sir Steve enough for what he's done. To see Rugby Park filled with Killie fans and absolutely rocking today was amazing, usually we're outnumbered by the cheeks in our own ground but today the away support couldn't have been more of an irrelevance. I've seen us win trophies, but when the final whistle went I was close to tears - I honestly never thought I'd get to watch Killie in Europe again (was too young to appreciate it the last time) and the past 18 months (and the rest) have probably been my best supporting Killie - I genuinely expected to win today. There's a good chance we'll go back to being shite now Sir Steve is going, but today is the kind of day you live for as a diddy club fan

Saturday was right up there with some of the best feelings I have ever had supporting Clyde. The last decade has been awful for the club and we have been on our knees at times. The club was a mess and we ended up in the bottom tier and for a while it felt like we would never get out of it, at least upwards... To finally get promoted quite rightly brought delirium and no lack of relief too. What's pleased me most about it, was how this team done it. Even with 30 minutes left and still needing 2 to win, there was no panic, no resorting to hoofing it and hoping for the best. We stuck to what we do and played some great attacking football. Danny and Allan deserve all the praise they receive and more. I'm still absolutely buzzing and can't wait to see what next season has in store.

Oh and the scene of Brienne updating Jaime's Wikipedia page had my inner fountain pen geek screaming "That ink's still wet, don't close the book!!!"

So - now the dust has settled, what's everyone's thoughts on the season? For me, 50-odd points and a mid-table finish feels pretty acceptable - probably near our average over the past 35-odd years of top flight football - but it was really two seasons rolled into one and it's ended on a positive note. Conventional wisdom is that you shouldn't read too much into pre-season and the LC groups - but it was apparent early, even without hindsight that something wasn't quite right (I'm still waking up screaming thinking about a Main/Sammon strike partnership) and that Robinson was struggling to find an effective team. Trying to continue with the style of the past couple of seasons without the right personnel was a huge mistake (and you'd hope a big learning experience) - it was a step too far and it led to some of the worst "football" we've watched in a while. The transfer window was not the best, the team looked unbalanced and it wasn't a stretch to think that we'd be in with the three teams that ultimately fought over relegation. Getting knocked out the LC at Tynecastle wasn't a disgrace but was still disappointing on the night and the early Cup exit to County was the low point of the season for me (and most I'd imagine). At this point, I was struggling to see how Robinson could stay in his job. Some of the games (Livi away, St Mirren and Killie at the end of the year) were getting me to the point that it was a grim chore to go to a game and I was fucking delighted when the "we go again" season ended in December (even if there was a chink of light at Douglas Park). The other season after the County debacle has been brilliant IMO. Turnbull and Hastie winning games for fun , *finally* finding a solution of sorts to the Left Back problem by playing Grimmy at RB, Gorrin's emergence from total anonymity to be the player we all wanted Bigi to be, Gboly being a proper "worth the entry fee" player, Campbell being right back on it after looking knackered for the first half of the season, etc, etc. Going to Fir Park has been as much fun as it's been in ages and we've been watching football that we wouldn't have believed possible when we were struggling to make *one* decent pass earlier in the season. Watching Turnbull [playerspeak] Smash it [/playerspeak] every week has been a privilege and one that probably won't be happening for much longer. The Young Motherwell season has been my favourite stuff since McCall's best team broke up. A lot of credit needs to go to Robinson for the Jan transfer window and the big rethink. Ready for some time-off going to games and doing other stuff as always - but also looking forward to grown men getting into arguments about football strip templates and shite ITK transfer rumours...

And neither can the rest of us. No need to hang around until then if you don't want to. I'm grateful however that your team's very slightly more uselessness gave my team the chance to survive. Seriously, the Falkirk thread is usually a good read with some good characters and I'll still pop in for a read. Best of luck next season but I hope we don't pass you on the way down at the end of it.

Unfortunately I'm a bit of a technophobe so I'm not sure how to upload the file but the EOS have sent clubs the set up for next season. Highlights: Premier starts on 27th July. One of the teams listed is Bonnyrigg/Whitehill. Three down. Division one is split into two seeded conferences with 12 teams playing 34 games with home away fixtures against teams in your conference and one game against each team in the other. Runners up will play off for third promotion spot. Winners will play off for first division title. League cup will be played in the spring with a straight knock out format. There will be NO EOS qualifying cup next season. As predicted a vote on making the King Cup first division only will be held at the AGM.

Think I’m maybe enjoying the perspective of Annan’s highlights more than our own. The roar when McNiff equalises could keep me nourished for years such is its deliciousness.

Wee update for anyone interested. The wee man is on week 5 of what is now a 6 week course of chemo. Insurance money will run out after Fridays dose and we can't afford to pay for it unfortunately. He's taken it like a champ though and has been putting on weight again so seems to have reacted well. Very unlikely he can go into remission but hopefully it's bought him more time. The full treatment is 24 weeks so from here it's going to be daily steroids to mask the symptoms. Here he is enjoying his favourite ball pit (the bairns obviously) and one of him as a kitten.

League structures should be based on what exists on the ground - where clubs are, and where the road network takes you - rather than on mathematical purity.

There’s just no need for having a go at or putting down these teams which is what you’re clearly doing. I could sit here and look down on and slate the Junior, Amateur and Non league senior teams as Raith are a bigger team and in turn a Dundee Utd or St Mirren fan could do the same to me. What difference does it make how old a team is, how many fans they have or where they came from? We’re all football clubs. So what if EKFC, BSC and Cumbernauld are new teams formed from boys clubs? They’re now as much a team as Celtic, Stranraer or Pollock are. ICT and Livingston weren’t even around 25 years ago but look what they’ve achieved. I look forward to the Juniors and any Amateurs who want to join the pyramid joining and finding their level.

It's true we don't have a lot of supporters yet. But for a club that's only 5 years old we've got quite a good trophy count.

Also, while the Annan highlights are fabulous, the undisputed best bit is when poor Marcus lets out a barely-suppressed scream at 6:22, after Tommy Muir beasts a pretty simple header over from six yards with one of the last touches of the ball.

Pitch was like a bowling green but other than that, a poor venue for a final. Nearest bar is at the rugby and hockey grounds, which was shut.....despite me phoning and emailing them, during the week, to ask if it could be opened. Something that you might think the committee in charge of choosing the venue, could organise. The Grey Horse was a fair hike from the ground and required a taxi for the less able supporters. It's a great wee tea room at the ground, although some people in the queue were losing the will to live! It was fortunate that the rain wasn't any heavier as the ground is wide open and you couldn't fit everyone into that wee stand. Just a pity that they didn't just stick football goals up at the rugby ground, that would be the ideal venue. Despite everything it was still an enjoyable day out. Hurdles are there to be overcome. BSC are a strong side, experienced and streetwise, so we knew it would be a tough game. Getting the second goal before half time was the killer. Shire had their chances in the first half too. McCauachie fluffed his shot when it was easier to score and Rodgers shot went wide of the open goal, following a poor kick out by the 'keeper. Shire came out in the second half a different team and began asking more questions. Brisbane's deflected goal came after a period of pressure and a real stramash (as Arthur Montford might say) in the BSC goalmouth. An equaliser almost came seconds later, following a great piece of football, when Brisbane just failed to connect 2 yards out, from a McCafferty cut back. The sending off, moments later, was hardly "soft". Brisbane had a clear run on goal from 30 yards out before he was hauled down. I'd have preferred him to have run on and picked his spot for 2-2, playing against 11 men than 2-1 down against 10. BSC were still very much in it having 10 men, with Shire pushing forward it left us more open at the back, which is all the more dangerous with a player such as Martin Grehan leading the line. Required a bit of last gasp defending and a world class save from Jamie Barclay to keep the game alive. The closing stages, as you would expect, consisted of long balls into the danger area and defensive clearances. A last minute corner almost sent us into overtime. Ure's perfect delivery met the head of Rodgers only for his header to crash off the post. Had that gone in there was only going to be one winner. The BSC first half performance proved to be enough and they were worthy winners. Regarding Danny Ashe, his attitude since signing for Kelty has been 100%. He pulled a hamstring last week, against Spartans and wasn't fit enough to play but as the League only hand out 18 medals, he was named on the bench, in order to receive a, well deserved, recognition.

People really want Lennon? The guy who has *this very season* taken over a good team and made them so much worse? The same Lennon that had sown such disharmony in the dressing room he was suspended by Hibs? That sounds exactly what we need right now folks carry on.

Absolutely BRILLIANT. I am delighted for Killie, what a season they’ve had and the aura around the club is wonderful. The fans have come back to the club and now they are in Europe. They deserved it, and what a way to do it - beating the horrible mutants. A great big GIRFUY from Steve Clarke who certainly won’t need any “cheering up” tonight. Well done Kilmarnock.

Less than three years ago we took a first leg lead to Kilmarnock in the playoff final. We're now in League One and Killie are in Europe.

His use of the phrase "at places like this " is totally unnecessary and hugely disrespectful. He used it after Sevco beat us 2-1 at McDiarmid after we led 1-0 at half-time. "We shouldn't have to work so hard at places like this" was his moan then. If he doesn't like the places he has to take his band of cheating b*****ds, then he should f**k off back to Scouseland. He is a classless fud who will be found out sooner rather than later.

Imagine how much of a defeatist attitude someone must have, to look at teams that have reached a major tournament recently, and then look at Scotland's squad and say "nah, they're not good enough".

Strangely, I have a different perspective on this now.....! Think the HL/LL playoff winners should go up automatically replacing Div 2 10th place, AND the playoff losers should playoff again against Div 2 9th place team. I say this mainly from the perspective of making the big drop much less traumatic. Honest, Guv.

The Clyde highlights are phenomenal; a fantastic summary of the day. Featuring Annan GK timewasting, a number of other players hitting the deck under very little pressure, Syvertsen retiring the Annan number 4 with an outrageous bit of skill. Then onto the goals, with the second one summing up our style as Lang manages to keep possession when others would have just gone to win a tackle. Then the post-match scenes with Rankin/Goodwillie jumping around with crutches, a classy Annan player (Swinglehurst?) going to congratulate our dugout and the stuff inside the changing room where Ray Grant works up a sweat for the first time this season. Oscar worthy. Annan highlights are worth watching as well because they're from the other side and the huge crowd is fully visible.
