Well today is my second birthday after receiving my stem cells back this afternoon! Now time for them to graft back into the bone marrow. Quite emotional watching them dance up the tube back into my blood stream. Hope this spells the start of a long remission period for me18 points

Pretty gutted to see Falkirk probably fall in to league 1. I usually hate the narrative of continually piling in to boards and managers and acting as if you could do a better job but this is one of those rare exceptions. The mismanagement from board level and Hartley in particular as a manager seems bafflingly poor. To the extent you genuinely could imagine you and your mates handling it all better. The “strategy” has just been so poorly thought out. Disband the academy which was giving you a good chance of promotion and then spunk money on signing more players than any other team in the country. Possibly I just don’t understand the economics very well but surely their wage bill must be through the roof right now. After watching you beat Ayr a few weeks ago I was actually convinced you’d end up alright. Life goes on and I’m sure you will bounce back ASAP but I can imagine you guys who dedicate so much time/resource following the club for them to just seem so directionless or misdirected must make you want to hit your head against a wall. It’s probably been covered earlier in the thread but if anyone has the figures for how much savings closing the academy has brought about I’d be appreciative as I’m curious.13 points

Hereditary disease, I heard. Looking back, it's so bizarre, it runs in the family.11 points

My take on the Academy closing hasn't changed, in that the majority of people complaining about its closure are parents who can't tell their mates their laddie plays for Falkirk any more.10 points

You're hard work, man. We may as well- isn't that the point of the evening sport? I agree, their timescale is about as secure as a Thistle whatsapp chat- they (Cowden) have made a fairly decent effort at pre-management but it's virtually impossible to predict what will happen. Their focus however on us winning the league or not, is misplaced- i believe win, lose or draw, and with or without a trophy at 5.30pm, our players and fans will be united in a show of strength and and appreciation for the season at FT which might be a lot fucking harder to shift than first thought. Even if Peterhead storm into an unassailable lead declaring the winner very early, quite honestly i don't think we'll give a f**k by full-time. On the other hand- a late goal could change everything, and you don't give a quick applause then bugger off away for a team who's taken your season to that stage. We'll be in there for the players, like they have been out there for us. Absolutely ZERO chance of a quiet shuffle out. None at all.10 points

To label the academy a partial failure because we have not sold a player for between £3 and 6m plus add-ons is absolute nonsense. On what possible basis did FFC or anyone associated with it expect to ever be in a position to sell a player for that amount? Where, and by whom, was this figure quoted? All of the players you have mentioned were deals done literally decades ago, they have absolutely no relevance to the academy structure you are talking about. The general "gold standard" sale for a club of our stature would be someone like James McCarthy. He went to Wigan Athletic for a reported up-front fee of about £1.2m and Hamilton then benefited from a significant sell-on clause when he joined Everton. Name the last player Partick, Killie, St Johnstone, Motherwell sold for "multi-millions"? Over the past decade we've raked in a significant seven figure sum in transfer fees and sell-on clauses which should have given us a solid platform on which to build and preogress. Instead, we'll be a third tier club this time next week. It's certainly a hell of a failure on the part of many. Not the academy though.7 points

Not great to follow bad news but me and my fiancee have finally got ourselves a dog, had been holding off but weve now settled into our house and have a plan for it during the day when we're at work... 6 month old rough haired sausage dog, which is crossed with something else but the charity arent sure what. Collect him at the end of the month, but cant a name to agree on. A Spanish rescue dog.6 points

We need to keep it up and leak the contents of the envelopes as well. Miles Storey will have written his team in a straight line down the edge but run out of space after 9 players.6 points

Another outstanding performance from Kilsyth tonight, after defeating Glencairn and then another great display against promotion chasing Rossvale, although they didn't look like it tonight, all they really did was moan and greet like f**k at every little thing, how the number 8 got away without a booking was astonishing to say the least, worse than a wummin honestly, if they had concentrated on the game a bit more they may have got on better, didn't really trouble us tbh, I just wish we could take that form away from home, but God knows why that is5 points

Why are so many Scottish clubs determined to make it as difficult and inconvenient as possible for fans to attend matches? This is exactly the type of fixture that the casual fan would be interested in.5 points

Of course we're angry you idiot. Some of us care more about our clubs/the football than scoring imaginary points through tired tropes on a daft forum.5 points

Way, way back (maybe 2004 or 05 when I first saw them play) they used Glasgow Green, then started using New Petershill once it opened- that was the period I was talking about - but they then went to Airdrie for maybe five or six years before moving back to Peasy a couple of years ago. The move to Airdrie, which I understand was something to do with UEFA licensing definitely affected their crowds - I can remember going over to what I thought would be an attractive pre-season friendly against Chelsea and there were maybe 70 people there. And that's not denigrating women's sport; it's just acknowledging there currently exists a problem with getting paying customers through the door that flooding Hampden with freebies for a one-off game won't be a quick fix for. If it was, the Scottish Claymores would still be on the go and Junior terraces would be full of kids every weekend after free tickets were dished out to schools.5 points

Good statement at a good time IMO. Allaying fans fears of them pulling the plug due to rumours, updating on the stadium - as they don't have to do it every 5 minutes ffs - and saying in not so many words that McIntyre is getting the bullet. WTF do fans want? They moan about lack of communication from the board, then get a lengthy statement and complain about it. What did people actually want to read that would've made them happy? It's easy to stick the boot in but credit where it's due IMO.4 points
