  1. EoS: Accepted 26 former Juniors into their league in 2018 and in 2019 have made it clear they are happy to accept West Region at Teir 6, North region at Teir 6, support creation of Tayside league at Teir 6 for teams north of the LL line and to accept remaining East region junior teams South of the line into their structure. SJFA: We want East Juniors in system at the same level as EoS in a competing geographical area that would see teams single digit miles apart in a separate league structure, we want our own disciplinary process so we can collect fines, we want North of the Tay teams who can't play Lowland League included in the South of the Tay structure in the overlapping geographical area, competing with teams for a promotion spot they can't take and we don't give a f**k about the North juniors. Yep, defo sounds like it's the EoS being unreasonable and employing blocking tactics with regards the juniors. [emoji2] [emoji2] Guid yin, what's your next line: "SNP turn down offer of Scottish Independence and £100 billion from Westminster".

  2. The EOS aren’t being difficult they’re doing exactly what they should be doing by refusing to allow an overlapping league in at tier 6 which they could lose teams to. The only thing that’s screwing the West Juniors is that they’re trying to negotiate joining as a package with the East Juniors, if the West Juniors applied on their own the EOS would have no problem they even offered in the past to help set up a WOS league. Don’t get why the West Juniors are so attached to the East when they’ve both happily forgotten about the North. Let the West Juniors join this coming season and the East and North can continue to negotiate does it really matter they both join at the same time.

  3. The same EoS Mafia that would of let Clydebank in to it. The same EoS Mafia that would of helped set up an indepedent WoSFL at the same level at Tier 6 The same EoS Mafia that will accept the West Region clubs intact into the pyramid. The same EoS Mafia that wants the West & East Regions represented at PWG meetings. The same EoS Mafia that wants West & East Region representation on the Non-Professional Game Board. Can't really gatecrash something when you're invited to the party

  5. Heres another one for you… Again my old department. Essentially the team I looked after were support/admin for a large salesteam. The sales guys are out on patch trying to win orders and hit their targets. As the salesguys have pretty heavy targets they also get some pretty sweet rewards, commission, company paid holidays etc The team I managed were based in an office dealing with After Sales customer enquiries but on a salary only. This as you can imagine riles up the office team who feel they also do a good job and deserve an extra reward. At every appraisal I did with them they would moan about not getting ‘perks’. I’d remind them that they did not have targets or the risk of working in sales where guys are given the sack regularly for not hitting targets. Also if people want to do that type of work they should apply instead of working in admin. However a couple of girls in the office were going great guns all the time about not getting any rewards so eventually I took the request to one of my managers meetings with our Directors and suggested it might help morale to give them something and after a particularly good year a few years ago there was some money in the budget to be used as a reward. I think due to taxes and maybe terms of employment the team weren’t allowed to be just given money in their wages as reward. However, and this is where it got interesting. The Director responsible for my department sent an email out saying “in light of a great year, please keep this date free for a day trip”. However the day of this trip was to be a Saturday as we couldn’t do it in work time. No one was told what the trip was, just to keep the day free and to let him know if they could attend. Now I’m not one for any works events during my own time. However, we were given plenty of notice and it was intriguing so I was up for it. I was sure booze would be involved with it being a Saturday so decided I’d give it a go. The other two girls who had done the lions share of the moaning quickly dismissed it and said they weren’t giving up their weekend(they didn’t have kids either) to do something work related. Leading upto the event there was rumours of what it would be and these two cows kept laughing at everyone else and making snide comments about doing something crap like going bowling or paintballing. At any opportunity they would say things to the rest of the team like “can’t believe you are going to spend free time at work”. When they were corrected that it wasn’t actually “work” they would respond with “well it might as well be”. The day before it at work we were told to meet at the Train Station early the following morning so it immediately took a more interesting turn. You could also see the two that had decided not to go were already regretting their decision and started asking lots of questions as if we knew what it was. “remember text us as soon as you know”… So the few of us who decided to go met at the station the next day. Turns out we got first class train tickets to London. Met the Director who got us p*ssed in a few pubs. He then took us for lunch up the Shard(oh yes Kenneth!) for a slap up meal in a private room. Everyone was then given £250 gift vouchers. Few pubs after it and then back on the train and home for 6pm(I should say I live in Leicester). Turned out to be a great day out. Monday morning back at work, everyone who had gone was buzzing and the two who hadn’t gone were visibly livid. The only let down was they were give then £250 vouchers as well which I think they had been raging about since the Saturday as they had been texted to say we’d all got them.

  6. Hi, I'm Cardinal Richelieu, and you may remember me from such league tables as Premiership 43 and BHL 68. Here's your latest SUPERLEAGUE. I was a bit worried about half the teams going AWOL due to the upheaval, but it's about the same for a normal Tuesday. Can't remember who said it, but since we're all achieving much higher scores, Slippery's going to be working overtime with his play-off questions. We might even have to move to a MEGALEAGUE format permanently if there are too many draws. How thrilling.

  11. East of Scotland Football Association Very pleased to confirm the Lowland League board has agreed to our request that a waiver be granted to currently unlicensed clubs, in respect of promotion from the East Of Scotland League, until such time as the SFA have held the meetings necessary to determine the outcome of ongoing membership abd licensing applications. The deadline previously had been set at 31 March, when it had been expected matters would have progressed further than is actually the case. Confirmation's been received today from Hampden that the next SFA board meeting in connection with issues relevant to the current situation will take place on 18 April.

  13. I checked back and you're right, he was out for quite a period at the start of the season. I think the clusterfuck of injuries which followed has erased Cammy's injury from memory. EDIT - and with that, the only defender who has been available for every game that he's been with us is David Ferguson. You can always put your trust in someone who goes by that name...

  14. Who is trying to stop the pyramid developing? WE ARE IN THE PYRAMID. We want it to develop in the fairest way possible. The East of Scotland clubs from last season facilitated the transfer of the East Junior clubs into the pyramid last summer to help it develop. All of the now East of Scotland clubs want that pyramid to continue to grow and develop. It has no affect for the majority of East of Scotland clubs who aren’t going to be in the playoffs if the West Junior clubs are admitted into the pyramid. Welcome aboard I’d say. There is absolutely nothing stopping the West clubs coming into the pyramid as they are. Should they be allowed to? Absolutely. The West should be in the pyramid from next season, no arguments at all about that. Should the East Junior Clubs be allowed to join the pyramid? Absolutely. Should the East Junior clubs be allowed to come into the pyramid as they are? Absolutely not. The existence of the East of Scotland League as a Tier 6 league negates the need for another East Region League to come into the pyramid at Tier 7. I’d love to see ALL current East Juniors in the pyramid next season just at the appropriate levels. To say any club currently in the Pyramid is trying to ‘piss about’ because there hasn’t been an appropriate solution to the Pyramid issue is honestly laughable. If the roles were reversed, and there was a West of Scotland League at Tier 6, would you welcome another league attempting to cover the same area at the same Tier despite there already being a pathway to joining the Pyramid which could in turn have an impact on Clydebank? If the answer is yes then more power to you.

  15. A complete stitch up then. As I said all along. Was ridiculed on Saturday as some sort of tinfoil hat-wearing, basement-dwelling conspiracy theorist, but let's look at the facts: Craig Levein needs his usual 'will they play, won't they play' injury doubt before a derby The man who collides with Ikpeazu is Dom Ball, a former Rangers player, well-versed in his masonic conspiracies A second shooter hiding in the Wheatfield to bring Uche down Steel beams in the stretcher, crisis actors carrying him off Corner flag fluttering despite there being no wind in Gorgie Need I go on?

  16. Ok, even though we all know that's not true (given the plan is the one the SJFA asked they're member clubs to vote on before the SFA board were even engaged) I'll play. So, you're strive is that the EoS are blocking and movement of the juniors. In reality, the EoS have agreed to put 3 of the 4 distinct sets of Juniors in at Teir 6, (West, North and Tayside) asking the Juniors to make a common sense concession for the small fourth subset for the good of the game because there's already a league in that geographical area. The EoS then called and chaired a meeting with the SJFA, presumably to discuss this and by all accounts the SJFA and ERSJFA weren't interested in a compromise (hearsay based on yourself and others heading reports of the meeting) So we are in a position where the "SFA board directive", which coincidentally happens to be the same as the option selected when the SJFA asked teams to vote on pyramid entry, had been 75% agreed by the EoS, but it can't be passed because the SJFA want 100%. This is generally how proposals work. Someone has an initial stab, people yeah and agree what is actually most common sense, the plan is reviewed and agreed then implemented. And you are trying to sell that as the EoS being the obstruction. It's pure fantasy. As far as I can tell, the EoS are not only the only people trying to make it happen, they are they only people looking at it from a common sense perspective calling the batshit crazy as batshit crazy. Tell us: what concessions have the SJFA made or solutions have they suggested to make the plan palatable? Zero. It gets then scaly what they want, despite knowing it's nuts, for all the reasons listed, so their position comes across as "we're in, f**k you".

  19. Thing is, we have players available who can win games for us. We know that Rudden's a penalty box striker, get balls into the box and there's a good chance he's going to stick some away, so we need to play guys that can deliver, i.e. Robson. Get back to a back 3, one of Paton or Osman out of the team (Paton probably) and play two up front. Let other teams worry about us, not the other way round!

  20. Didn’t realise Scottish football had this high a volume of jammy wearers watching it. Shithousing is a part of the game at all levels. If anything, it’s one of the more entertaining elements of our game. If the behaviour on display yesterday was enough to justify violence, the cities of Barcelona and Madrid would’ve each looked like current day Syria in the Pepe/Ramos days. On Brown, a Ranger player - I think Jack - had a wee clipped heels effort on him early doors and he literally laughed it off. The fact that he has the last laugh 95% of the time is less to do with Brown being some kind of super-villain and more to do his club’s main rivals being a gang of perma-raging losers who pretty much never turn up for a big game. The only morally questionable aspect of all this, is deliberately targeting a literal simpleton to wind him up. I wasn’t complaining when McGregor smashed him 5 mins into our last game v Rangers though.

  21. Aye, cover and disabled cover, plus a few wee bits and bobs inside the changing rooms. Covered enclosure was ordered weeks ago (can't remember exactly date) and is en route, disabled cover being sorted just now and the internal work will get done after our last home game on Saturday (couple of extra showers and a urinal in each dressing room, nothing big). Screen fencing arrived last week and is sitting behind the hospitality ready to go up. Then we should meet all requirements, including floodlights, pending any feedback/actions we get from the auditor once they visit.

  26. Aye, exactly…I’ve nearly put some post on the topic about Snakes at work but I fear if I started I wouldn’t stop. All my mates used to say it must be great managing a team of women, “I bet you are in yer element”. Truth be told, although a couple of them were ‘wids’ to look at, it was mostly a bloody nightmare(which is no reference to having to deal with the time of the month when it was extra evil). Some of the stuff that used to go on was unbelievable, backstabbing, moaning, bitching, petty bullsh*t, etc etc An example being, we had two different lunch hours, split 12-1pm, 1-2pm so there was phone coverage. So half the folk would go early and half late. It would be swapped around every few weeks so it was fair, Everyone got a an early and late lunch throughout the month.. However if someone on the early shift lunch came back even a minute late(meaning the later shift were delayed going for theirs) it would be carnage. I could understand if it was 10/15 minutes but I’m talking as soon as the clock hit 1pm folk would proclaim loudly in my direction “well that’s her late back from lunch again”. If people were repeat offenders then I’d understand but it would happen once every few months at most but when it did it was like it should be treated as a sacking offence. If, when I could be bothered to, I did respond, I’d ask if the person moaning if had any plans at lunch they were being kept back for. Every single time the answer would be “no, but I want to get my lunch and it means I get less time for mine”, to which I’d respond every time with “well you can just come back at 2.02pm instead of 2pm”. I also had to stop the MacmIllan coffee mornings…a sentence itself which makes me feel like the most evil man in the UK. But one particular time one of the girls organised it but it meant she had to be in our canteen area for a couple of hours serving coffee and cakes to people who were buying for charity rather than in the office working. Not ideal but in the spirit of charity I didn’t see a problem…wrong! One of the other girls kicked up such a fuss that it was unfair she was doing work whilst this other girl was apparently having the time of her life. When I suggested swapping over, the girl with the complaint refused because she obviously didn’t want to get involved in selling cakes. Thing is, all this goes on as you are also trying to deal with actual customer issues and do actual work.

  32. Use to work with this big fat lass. I mean really fat. HUGE. A giant fucking moo. She used to go on and on about all her medical problems trying to elicit sympathy despite being a total arsehole to everyone privately. She just about sooked the sphincter off the boss while being utterly cunty to every one else. Due to being clamped limpet like to the bosses arsehole she was the unofficial second in command or at least she thought she was. The office boss left and the big boss from down south came up and gave the position to a young guy. The fat moo scumbag was gutted. You should have seen her face! She was no happy to say the least. Ragin'. Big red blubbery cheeks quivering. She tried to suck up to the new boss, new best friend and all that, but he knew she was full of shit and her status declined a bit but not long after this guy left as well and the boss position was open again. Fatty thought she was now a shoe in for the job. You could see it all over her fat, smug face that she was going to be in charge. Then something totally unexpected happened. The original boss came back. When Gargantua Stinkypits saw the old boss come in she had a full scale mental break down in front of everyone. "NOOO!!!! NOOOOOO!!!!!" NOOOOOOOO!!!!" She started going off on some giant rant....and started hurling abuse at the returning boss. She gathered up all the keys in the office and stomped off into a side office, locked herself in and refused to come out. Once again the big boss was coming up from down south and he arrived just at this point. Big fat lass was screaming and shouting through the door, giving dogs abuse to both the office boss and the big boss. She'd totally lost her mind. Big boss from down south was absolutely livid and was saying he'd make sure she never worked again. Eventually after a while she came stomping out the side office and launched the office keys at the returning office boss who had to put a hand up to deflect them. Then Fatty just sort of exploded into tears and wailing. It was fucking glorious. I've never seen anyone just burst into tears like that. I smirked at her as she left, no words exchanged but essentially saying "you lost bitch". A couple of hours later when every one left for the day she was still in her car in the car park sobbing, head down on the steering wheel. Her name was Vanessa and she was the worst person I've ever met in my life. I hated her, there wasn't one atom of goodness in her and I absolutely reveled in her demise. You got everything you deserved Vanessa, ya collosal fucking pig!

  33. As I said on the other thread, the EoS have both compromised and proposed alternative solutions. The SJFA are the ones digging their heels in and stopping their members from being able to progress into the pyramid. EoS have in the last year: - Accepted 26 Junior teams into their structure, relegating most of their existing membership in the process - Said they support the West Region moving over at Teir 6 and would be happy to help set it up - Said they support the North Region moving over at Teir 6 - Said they support the makeup of a Tayside league at Teir 6 for teams who cannot play LL football - Said they will accept remaining South of Tay Junior teams into their structure, further impacting their membership. - Set up and chaired a meeting of the two associations to discuss, which we are told the SJFA had little interest in. They have said they will not accept a competing league in the same geographical area in the East, with teams in separate structures single digit miles apart, as there is no need for it and makes no sense. And they have questioned the separate discipline rules (though I suspect you solve the duplicate league's in East issue and the discipline one isn't a showstopper). They have, as best I can tell, compromised and accepted more than 80% of what has been asked if them. They are asking, quite reasonably as we all know it's a stupid idea, that the SJFA compromise on less than 20% of the proposal, namely not to have a competing geographical league at the same level with teams in it ineligible for promotion to the level above. The SJFA, conversely, have seen the EoS (and LL/SoS) agree to 80% or more of what they want, but they want it all. They won't do the sensible thing and say "you know what, the issue in the East is fair, let's put that on hold till we can talk it through further and get a solution for the season after next, without holding up the West, Tayside (ERJFA structure already changed to support it) and North if they want" As far as I can see, the league's in the pyramid are open to change, have proven it consistently and have accepted a great deal of what is proposed without issue. Progress is entirely in the gift of the SJFA, all they need to do is accept the east is a legitimate issue, put it on hold for further discussion, and the West and Tayside could be on board for next season. Why anyone thinks the EoS is "blocking" this, or that an objection on the grounds that having 2 feeders in the same region (one of which with near half the teams who can't be promoted) isn't legitimate, I can't fathom. The SJFA could resolve this tomorrow, by showing the same level of acceptance and compromise as the league's being blamed for holding this up. They only have to concede one issue to further discussion.

  36. It might not be a complex idea but it's a load of hand-wringing nebulous baseless shite attempting to link Scott Brown to violent incidents which had nothing to do with Scott Brown. It's in the same species as claiming a victim brought it on themselves or moral panic about violence in entertainment being in any way linked to violent crime. Personally I think James Forrest's decision to score a goal would have been the most upsetting incident of the day for the Rangers supporters.

  39. Agreed. Despite originally being from the area I don't have any special knowledge or inside info on the west Fife junior scene, but I was surprised Oakley moved last year. Equally surprised Rosyth appear to be staying put, given how close they are to so many EoS junior teams. It is however possible that there have been further applications or even conditional ones which we don't know about yet. Glenrothes moving proves that not all east juniors were convinced by the claim that the east juniors were in at tier six, and it's unlikely they were alone, even if they were the only ones to act openly so far. A lot happened after the original EoS deadline last year, it's still possible there could be some movement yet to come although I would concede it doesn't look likely at this point. What is notable that the voices suggesting that a few EoS clubs would move back to the juniors have gone quiet. Best bet is for the EoS and East Juniors to press on with their talks.

  40. The above was posted in the 'Lowland League Relegation' thread and is pertinent here too. For clubs pushing for their Conference titles and the opportunity to contest the promotion spot available to the Lowland League to then, potentially, be denied that promotion spot because they weren't licensed in the proper time frame despite their applications being received, reviewed and passed in good time by the Licensing Committee but consequently delayed due to the couldn't care less attitude of the SFA in rescheduling a postponed board meeting to deal with these applications is an absolutely absurd situation brought about by the complete unprofessionalism and sheer contempt of the SFA board and its CEO Ian Maxwell.

Rangers have now spunked over £20 million in transfer fees since their arrival to the top league, they have an annual wage bill of around 13 million pounds including their £35000 a week contribution to Defoes wages. This impressive financial advantage has helped them to second place, 13 points behind leaders Celtic. Kilmarnock have spent zilch in transfer fees since Jesus was a boy and their entire squad earn less than Jermain Defoe does in a week, they are 6 points behind Rangers after 31 games. Perspective.
