  1. Congratulations to Will Vaulks on his first international cap. So chuffed for him and well deserved, one of the good guys.

  5. Litterbugs; people who just leave their shit in public places, sandwich box, coffee cup, crisp packets, half eaten sausage roll etc, just left on the train, park bench or casually placed on shop windowsill. Take it to a bin or hold on to it until you get home, you lazy, ignorant, jakey bast*rds.

  6. The fact the SFA (Maxwell) have proposed putting the East juniors in directly at tier 6, shows a total lack of respect for the work of the EoS and yet more proof that the SFA is simply not fit for purpose. That said, if Maxwell is prepared to ignore the LL / HL dividing line by putting teams north of the tay underneath the LL, then may as well put the ERJFA in at tier 8 underneath the EoS. Problem solved - all the juniors in the pyramid, and no leagues with significant geographic overlaps. Effectively, it would be in all but name an EoS/East Juniors merger, with most of the talking and details sorted out on the football pitch. Besides, most of the ERJFA teams aren't bothered about progressing up the pyramid anyway - as long as they can stay in their league and play local teams that is all they are really bothered about. So why should they care what tier they enter at? Any East junior teams who do want to move up the levels already had their chance to move to the EoS - and in fact they still do as we speak right now.

  8. Don't know why anyone wouldn't want Steve Clarke or see him as anything other than a fantastic candidate. He has a reputation as an excellent coach, which is as important at international level as the management side of things. A brilliant man-manager, too, and his record at Killie shows that he is tactically flexible and could assimilate well to the horses-for-courses nature of international football. Gets the best out of and improves ostensibly poor/average players, while finding ways to allow classier performers to shine. I cant think of a single Killie player who hasn't markedly improved under his management, and the club is punching well above its weight. What impresses me the most is that tactical flexibility and their ability to be organised and battle against much better sides, while also having in their arsenal the ability to take the game to teams and dominate possession. His comments and demeanour after being subjected to sectarian abuse to me ran deeper than just indignation or anger; he was genuinely hurt, hopeless almost. I can't see him wanting to stick about up here for long after that if he gets a good offer, as he seems like the kind of guy who doesn't have time for that shite. We should be sounding him out at the very least; it could well be that he's no interest in not being involved day-to-day, but as stated previously it would allow him to base himself elsewhere. Rangers fans don't bother supporting the national team anyway, so it's not like that would remain any issue.

  9. I think Cameron's caustic wit might have been entirely lost on you You have indeed presented some important facts, but by merely reproducing minutes that have come into your possession - the rest is your interpretation of those minutes, which may or may not be accurate. However, your constant mischaracterisation of an EoSFL representative who has done more than most to welcome ex-Junior teams into an excellently run organisation and who, almost single handedly, is responsible for driving a whole host of ground improvements at his own club while simultaneously assisting other clubs in their own quest towards ground improvements and SFA membership is grossly unfair. It's a mischaracterisation formed entirely through an interpretation of the wording of minutes, minutes which, ultimately, are no more than someone else's take on what has been said and what is meant by what has been said.

  14. Cheers for the reply. Russell McLean must be gutted to get that injury with he deal he's on. Should add chapeau to Terry for reaching 300 appearances for the Mo. Even more remarkable considering he's been part of the Brora playoff to the championship side and looking the part in Division 1. Top man.

  16. Absolutely not. He can't be trusted with such a massive game. Bin him now. Almost certainly the SFA won't do a thing and will keep him in place until that game(s).

  20. Neither brown sauce or ketchup belong anywhere near a cooked breakfast. Both only spoil the egg yolk and the baked bean sauce. Similarly, folk who put sauce over scrambled eggs, or add sauce to any breakfast roll containing a fried egg should have all their windows panned in.

  23. Mo fan but just trespassing on here to wish your videographer Neil a speedy recovery. Clubs like yours and ours need lads like that. Hope your team get their act together and seal the title and promotion - but BEFORE you play us this time NOT at 5pm on the day!! Angus deserves a Championship team and we are not yet ready for promotion or the play-offs in my opinion but we've done Ok.

  28. If we go down, especially and poetically at the expense of United returning I imagine that would be "it" for another section of our already battered support. Financially do you think the owners will be prepared to take a potential multi-year hit of those proportions?I personally have my doubts. Admin 3 would be the end for us, and it would be difficult to argue we deserved to survive. Anyone who knows the history of this club and thinks it would be a good thing must be tinfoil hat wearer of the decade.

  33. Thread is pretty quiet considering the position we are in. Finishing line in sight with two winnable games upcoming. Anyway, anyone know what position the young lad from Stirling Uni is? I'm not sure how many we have signed up for next year but we certainly seem to be ahead of the curve again. All credit to the management team and the board.

  40. I'll let the match thread die as I'm a couple of days late to the party. Saturday was really really disappointing. Another game passes us by, and the teams below are chasing hard, it's went from the table looking a dead cert in terms of the top 4 to absolutely all to play for. The derby next week has all of a sudden become a must win! In terms of the game, I thought we looked by far the better footballing side for the first 2/3rds of the park but powderpuff up front. We could have played for a week and not scored. Brechin on the other hand looked absolutely torture, but every time they were in our half they looked like scoring! Very bizarre to watch. Also no idea why anyone thought Tonks wide right was a good idea, fire that nonsense into the sun. Our play was so predictable, Sparky and Davo sitting deep with Agnew trying to spray world cup passes across the park. Absolutely no movement in the middle and nobody looking to take ownership of the ball. For the players, not sure who I'd give pass marks to tbh. Pretty poor across the park. Maybe I'm being over critical because I tend to pay attention to him a bit more, but Sparky had another poor, poor game. He doesn't look fit enough and that results in poor passes pretty regularly. Also, I hope Court isn't given a new contract for next season. He's a big, athletic boy, but he's not a striker at all. There'll be a confidence issue there with the lack of goals, but we were well warned what we were getting by those along the road. As much as I'm having a moan here, I must say some of the shouts from the crowd are absolutely mental. A few times we spend 15 goddamn seconds passing it about at the back and the fans are going tonto, there are some bodies in amongst that crowd that will never be happy with ANYTHING. I don't make it to a lot of home games, and I'm one of the advocates for fans being able to share their views at the game within limits. It's fine to have a moan, but it makes me really uncomfortable the way the shouts (and I suppose what can sometimes be quite abusive shouts) are directed not "in general" but almost directly at Darren. It's not helpful in the slightest, and makes you look like a moron. Do you think DY/TMc want the team to lose? Of course not. We all want whats best for the team. On the positive side, a fantastic effort from the fans, Isla and everyone else involved in the food bank collection. I was through really late so just made it into the ground for kick off but could see the van absolutely choked full with donations when I ran past. Top work from them, and to the club for contributing also. Also my pie was quite good.

  41. As I’ve said a fair few times on here before, I’ve always been a fan of McHugh. From him coming back from 4 months out with concussion to play 90 mins twice in 3 days, to somehow marshalling a defence including the likes of Samson/Griffiths, Jules, Heneghan, Chalmers etc to safety and then some heroic displays in both cup runs last season, the guy has more than played his part over the last few seasons. However it’s hard to argue that like Bowman and Rose before him, he’s perhaps served his purpose now and it’s time for him to move on as we look to move forward. The same probably applies to likes of Hartley and Main as well- what we needed at the time, probably not needed going forward. In fact when you look at the spine of the team(s) that got us to both cup finals last season, there might well not be a great deal of it left come the start of next season.

  44. Anyone who thinks it would be positive to go down clearly can't remember all the previous stints we had down in the second tier. All those times where we just had to get rid of the dead wood, bring in new blood and come straight back up. All of those times we didn't - just like many of the clubs that go down.
