  1. Thank you, County. Thank you. Get it right up every single person associated with Connah's Quay Nomads. A classless football team who deserve nothing but the absolute worst. And especially get it right up Andy Morrison. A classless, raging mess of a man who sets his diddy team of hatchetmen up to play some of the most vile football I've ever had to watch.

  2. I liked it to start with but I can see how much it’s improved. Really enjoy catching up with it. Liking the wee bits of highlights they show from the club’s social media channels too. Strange to see people on BBC talking about potential Arbroath signings for next year. I would be surprised if Pat Bonner could point Arbroath out on a map of Tayside. Infact I would be surprised if he could spell Arbroath. If they are looking for a partisan club commentary then they should look no further that Celtic TV when Tom Boyd is commentating. Even as a Celtic fan his commentary is unreal. A Celtic player could walk on with a metal baseball bat and pound a Dundee player to the ground with 6 heavy blows to the head, and Boyd would claim a yellow to be harsh. However a nothing tackle in the middle of the pitch where a St Mirren player clips James Forrest’s ankle...well that’s nothing short of assault according to Boyd and an absolute travesty that the referee hasn’t pulled out a yellow card for this 4th minute tackle. Edit - Also fair play for managing to show the highlights from Arbroath v Airdrie in a way which never actually showed footage of any goal, but also managed to be better presented than any highlights package that Sportscene have ever shown.

  4. And, lest we forget, was offered the gig before McLeish took it this time round. The SFA sacked Gordon Strachan and their short list to replace him was Walter Smith and Alex McLeish. It's not about the players. It's about the lack of vision throughout the system. They sacked the under 21s (being taller than 6ft 1 is all that matters) coach and replaced him with the under 19s (hoofball) coach. They then replaced the hoofball coach with the previously sacked being tall coach, and when the being tall coach left again they replaced him with the 123 year old former under 19s and under 21s coach. All of this under the guidance of a racist homophobe.

  6. Mo fan but just trespassing on here to wish your videographer Neil a speedy recovery. Clubs like yours and ours need lads like that. Hope your team get their act together and seal the title and promotion - but BEFORE you play us this time NOT at 5pm on the day!! Angus deserves a Championship team and we are not yet ready for promotion or the play-offs in my opinion but we've done Ok.

  11. Why ? maybe when the highland and lowland league adopt the same rules but at the moment they can sign players when spfl clubs can’t. They can play trialists when spfl clubs can’t. Thats not a level playing field. Same rules for all before any true pyramid can exist.

  15. Who fucking cares how many fans County or that Welsh mob took? I'm sure they all had a solid day out and County fans especially winning the thing. Our crowd against Dumbarton last season wasn't anything special but I still had a belter of a day out, saw my team win the cup and spewed in a bin on the train back to Edinburgh. Doesn't matter if there was only a couple thousand of us there it was a great day.

  16. If you're last you've had a shite season and shouldn't have a second chance to stay up. You win the division below, you deserve promotion, with no added hurdles.

  19. yeah it can go over the top a wee bit on the FB page but to be honest I'm like that during a game. Was incredibly frustrated at wee mistakes/our failure to pull the trigger yesterday and then just had a dawning realisation that we were playing quite well and should probably enjoy it Campbell, O'Neill, Wilkie, were all really good. Miller was decent yesterday too, as I always say I sometimes to struggle to see what he does but he won a few tackles yesterday. John Baird is still a good player though - his movement was quality. Big Crichton struggled with him I thought. Was delighted when they subbed him. Hawkshaw looks like he has talent, some good movement and good crosses.

  28. Why - if these other teams are so good they will beat the bottom team in a play off. The SPFL had no relegation - they then generously agree to give other teams the opportunity to gain admittance by proving they are better than the SPFL team they replace mano a mano. Seems very fair on that basis - you want our place come and take it. The Highland League isn't really that strong having lost Peterhead, Elgin, Caley, Thistle and Ross County. The Lowland League will be a stronger league soon but has been held back by the juniors failing to embrace change quickly enough

  30. What we need is a big sponsor. Can I suggest we contact 18 - 30 holidays cos every time we go away we get f***ed. On a more serious note, and I have mentioned this before, every year we hold a Hall Of Fame night and there is always a scramble for tickets. It has outgrown it's venue years ago. Hold this at Starks in pre-season with the stage in front of the south stand. We could then sell 2500 tickets @ £12 and get all the drinks/food concessions into the rovers pot.

  31. Yep,heard all that yesterday as well, " get it into the box" , " stop passing it about like that". 2 things that Brechin set out to make us do! They sat with 9 men across the park whenever we had possession, and anything punted into that 9 man zone was easily returned. Patience was always going to be the key, but gifting the 2 goals, punted that idea straight into the solar panels. What we did lack were midfielders prepared to run straight at the gaps which were created by our players stating wide and trying to stretch them. Too often the gaps opened, and the player in possession, put his foot on the ball and looked for someone to pass to., when perhaps going at the heart , with the ball at feet might have brought rewards. It's done and dusted now, hopefully more lessons learned, and they can spend the week polishing the mantlepiece in preparation for Saturday. What is certain though, if we DONT learn the lessons from yesterday, it could be another embarrassing result. And we don't need that now!

  32. Enjoyed episodes 3 and 4. That short film from the Arbroath v Airdrie game in the style of a Wes Anderson film was brilliant. I've watched it 3 or 4 times and think it's bordering on genius. Not just for all the wee quirks from a WA style of film, but it also works really well to capture the mood of lower league football. The 4 wee lads staring over the back wall at the sea with a wave splashing up in the background nailed it perfectly. A lot of it reminded me a bit of the photographer who used to do the homes of football books and exhibitions. Not sure if it's the same lad who filmed and edited the montage from Cowdenbeath in the first episode, but both have been superb.

  35. I thought Hawkshaw looked decent when he came on yesterday. Some really nice touches, always looking to get involved, showed for the ball well and never wasted a pass. If we get another 3 points on the boars I'd be giving him more game time and bringing the boy Barrowman into the squad to see what he can offer for next year.

  36. The same kelty that know they won't win the league and took to the field against a team battling to stay up ? Congratulations to the star for sealing another year at this level by the way always loved a day oot doon there ? There's an elective place considering selkirks demise should we be considered ? There's pros and cons it's easy t work oot what they are but if I was ww sure as fcuk I would nae take it lying doon considering one o the teams that's expected to apply for it did nae give a fcuk yet applied late last season and got in the EOSFL ? I'm just bitter following a team wi nae floodlights,I'm just happy one of the teams like us in the LL in its current format are having a fantastic season though

  45. Scott Gemmill is a fucking dinosaur who was shite for the U19s but somehow got promoted purely because he was already hired by the SFA. Him and Sbragia simply swapping jobs when both starting underperforming is just another fine example of the issues Scottish football faces at International level.
