  1. Been a disaster of a season, and yes you could say it’s got worse since McGlynn actually joined. I’m not disputing that (oh but I’m a fanboy mind) But let’s put things into perspective here. This club is damaged. We were a fraction of the post away from winning the league last time out, and since then it’s been down hill. But the clubs been on a downward spiral since Locke was appointed. We can’t do anything other than move forward from this now. This is not, and I repeat not all McGlynn’s fault here. I really don’t understand why “fans” of the club are wanting rid of a guy who has put his sweat and blood into this club. No other manager since then has even given that much of a f**k. Not even McKinnon who gave us our highest position in that league since...aye you guessed it, John McGlynn. Aye he’s made some ridiculous decisions since joining which I’ve already highlighted. But really, come on, who realistically could have done better? All these other managers who were touted haven’t exactly done brilliantly in their current clubs either. Whos to say McGlynn never tried to sort the defence? What if the right players weren’t available/didn’t want to come? What if getting guys in on loan is the only option? (Although sending Barjonas back by all accounts would be most welcome) I think the haters need to just chill the f**k out here. Pressing the eject button would be the most ridiculous thing ever at this time. Yes it’s not good enough, I agree. Yes the buck ultimately stops at the manager. But some of these players John has inherited have been ultimate shitehawks of the highest order. That’s even before you start to look at injuries etc. Write the season off and start again. As we’ve said time and time again...”there’s always next season.”

  10. Heard Sean Crighton's bird and, presumably his da or uncle, slating the fans after the game for slaughtering the team. Aye mate, take away your free comps and your emotional bias and see if you enjoy paying £16 to watch that garbage.

  11. 7 for Monday. BTW, when posting a quiz link you need to go to the archive and find the link for that particular day. The link you posted will be fine for today but, tomorrow, will take you to a different quiz. So the 'proper' link for today is :https://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/mind-games/quiz?quizId=11543 And yes, I was 'head prefect' at school and can be an OCD arsehole...to the surprise of no-one.

  14. Kelty in LL, and Linlithgow, Bonnyrigg and Bo'ness in EOSL, already average at/above the likes of Albion Rovers, Annan, Cowdenbeath, Edinburgh City and Stranraer. You could anticipate the likes of East Kilbride, East Stirlingshire and Spartans in LL, and Camelon, Musselburgh, Penicuik and Tranent in EOSL, also reaching that ballpark were they ever to make it. However you can look at Annan (whose crowds jumped from about 150 to 500 and have settled around 400) and Edinburgh City (from about 120 to 300), and see that larger increases can be achieved. If so you'd take in the likes of Gala in LL, and Broxburn, Dalkeith, Dundonald, Hill of Beath and Newtongrange in EOSL. It depends on various factors like a club's latent support - the people who currently turn out for "big" games - and the local population and competition. e.g. EK would only need to attract a fraction of a huge population base and Gala call on a wide field (beyond the oval ball); whereas Edinburgh, Midlothian and Fife are different kettles of fish. Nowadays with international weekends, winter break and so many Scottish Premiership games being moved for TV it's easier for fans of Hearts/Hibs/etc. to regularly watch a 'second' team lower down, too.

  16. The amount of chances/ shots on the goal/ goals scored by our strikers since we dropped Wallace (and now obviously he's unfortunately injured) shows how bizarre it is that less than a month ago there was even a debate about not playing the only striker we have who scores goals and creates chances. Agree?

  19. The person/people who run that blog should be locked up for their own safety. It gives normal Celtic supporters an even worse name than we already have. There’s very few people on the planet who turn down a job which gives them more money, a larger platform to showcase their work and the chance to move on to bigger and better things in their career if they succeed. I work for an Engineering firm at the minute and if I got a phone call from someone offering me a job that was even a couple of grand a year more I would be having a good think about it. Gullible Celtic fans got taken in by Rodgers and his love for the club but it wasn’t that hard to see through and I personally never expected him to be here if Celtic were to reach 10 titles, as there was always a high probability that a team like Leicester would come in and he would rightly jump at the chance. Good luck to him, he’s doing what any normal person with a normal job would do. There shouldn’t be any romanticism because his job happens to be managing a football team.

  20. Skanky Scouse c**t sitting across from me. She starts shouting at her phone, that's on loud speaker. Not an angry shout, just clearly incapable of talking at a normal fucking level. Tits are huge and hinging oot which is the only thing going for her. I had to move a few seats back next to a woman and a guy at a table. The woman had her bag on the seat so I asked "Is it ok if I sit next to you just now until that loudmouth Scouser finishes her call?" "Yeah no bother" she says......... with a Scouse accent. Reckon I ended up being the c**t.

  22. Really enjoyed that. They were able to stay a lot more true to the podcasts than I expected and the show was a lot better for it IMO. Also nice to put faces to the voices I've been listening to for years now. Slightly disappointed they're all handsome, relatively normal young guys rather than the circus freaks I'd been picturing though. Bit of a cliche but I do actually feel a bit of pride for them as if it's my lifelong pals doing well themselves, rather than some boys whose podcast I listen to twice a week.

  29. Getting relegated to the Lowland League is a bit more than a ‘kick up the arse’. More of a burial. I’m not sure what you’d expect to get better after that if it was to happen. Montrose had a kick up the arse. Cowden did. Actually getting relegated doesn’t bare thinking about. Last summer should be the final kick up the arse imo and we’re still suffering for it, as by the time the mayhem was over, it was too late for Robbie to get in the required quality. All that’s really gone wrong since, you could argue, is the managerial appointment. Since the summer nearly everyone involved in the club is working together and there’s to be a new strategy put in place led by the new director. I’m not sure any more could have been done since the summer to improve what we’ve seen on the park beyond appointing the manager, and he’ll argue that things will get better. I’m still of the opinion that I have been for the last two or three years the club needs totally new leadership and people to take the club forward. However, they can’t be magicked out of nowhere and at the moment there’s little alternative, so as long as everyone’s working together and making the club as attractive as possible to give us the best chance of it happening, there’s little else we can do to hurry that up or make it more likely.

  31. Describe the person that had a weapon at a Dalry game, or describe the committee member that seen it. Please tell us so this person can be arrested. I can guarantee that not one young boy from Dalry took a weapon to watch Dalry Thistle play football. Also, do you not think the Darvel boys would have more serious injuries considering they were fighting with Dalry outside the ground? you know, knuckledusters & all. The person from the St Roch game that was threatening to do stuff has been identified & was not from Dalry & will not be at a Dalry game ever again. Just another person coming out because it was against St Roch.

  43. I was at 60 mins of one game and due to the late kick off made about 30 mins of the other game. The parks are about 2 miles apart so I wouldn't say I need a helicopter to make that journey. I didn't see the rest of the games just gave my opinion on what the results meant to the league tables. I stupidly thought that's what the forum was for. Silly me I should wait till im drunk and jump on and ridicule people instead. Yeah I see alot of amatuer football In ayrshire and a little out with. I have a sad existence where there isnt much more to do.
