  1. Not really so credible when you consider how McKinnon emptied 5 or 6 immediately then all but 3 as soon as possible thereafter. If Hartley wants to peddle that line, any decent interviewer would be pointing out that a subsequent manager binned the lot and asking him to explain if he thinks time was the issue. Aye he wasnt given enough time to ensure we were relegated.

    8 points
  5. Nope, I think its funny as they deserved to be reminded forevermore that they cheated then died. It also still tickles me when I hear fans singing "you're not Rangers anymore". Quite why they think the rest of us are as delusional enough to pretend like they do I have no idea. Stupid Sevco.

  6. They probably don't get a chance tbh, as you get all snottery-nosed and snowflakey, as you repeat Theresa Mays soundbites. That's the thing about people on the right. Their "arguments" consist of repeating phrases they've heard on TV or read in the Daily Mail, without applying any real thought process as to what they're actually saying or what it even means. People on the right complain about the lack of intellectual discussion. But your real complaint is that you're too much of a moron to engage in discussion where you actually have to think about what you're saying.

  7. Not really heard anything from the remaining Fife clubs. The question you should ask Lochgelly next time you're there is whether they are happy to have two separate leagues in the east (and not have the chance of playing Oakley, Burntisland, Inverkeithing, or the bigger Fife clubs). If not then the only option is to move to the EOS. Hopefully some clubs move over so the remaining Juniors are basically forced to move as well.

  8. Calm down mate, you are coming across as agressive. Can you explain who needs the reality check ? I'm seeing the usual seethe and bluster from those that worship the "grade" but as per usual there are no answers, the sooner we in the West become senior in July and can put this "grade" shite behind us the better.

  9. Come on surely you can see their is no need for 2 leagues to cover same area.

  10. Anyone giving McIntyre shite is showing signs of being a Sofien. I believe a new Dundonian word can be used to describe someone who's not the full shilling. That Alfie from Lochee is a great laugh but slightly Sofien Moussa'd. McCann had us relegated, there should be nowhere back from where he left us. We were falling like a stone to the championship with players as useful as Anne Franks drumkit. He is the worst manager I've ever seen at Dens with his players embarrassing . Moussa wouldn't get a game for Vale o' Tay U16's and if he did, he'd be told in no uncertain terms he's fucking mince by the defender marking him out the game on the back of a White Lightning and cigarette stramash. My Boaby elevation levels with Dundee hit a peak when it mimicked the famous sinking Titanic image, in both girth and deadly fury, during the net rustle of the Nemsadze chip at Tannadice. Never though, has such a floppy hopeless chode been witnessed than when watching Moussa upfront for my club. Don't get me wrong; when McIntyre walked in the door I was frothing at the mouth and I was ready to sever ties with the club for the season. A Liam Neeson rampage almost ensued as I sauntered up and down the fields of Friockheim looking for DABs to fill in. I won't walk away however because I'm not a Rangers fan and we all know Dundee FC are the abusive partner whilst we are the wee bitches who secretly love a Saturday hook to the Jaw - even the odd last minute midweek Roberto Carlos volley flush into the bollocks. The only thing I ask for is that I see 100% effort and some sort of entertainment. That's what I expect when I go to football and McIntyre has given us that. Simple as that. From the start of this year HIS squad has went to Hearts and won, played very well against Motherwell where I walked away from Dens relatively pleased despite defeat and battled well against Hamilton and Kilmarnock where we could have won both -but didn't lose. The effort and greater entertainment value this squad brings means I'll go to Livi whereas under McCann I wouldve thought, f**k that. Very confident of picking up results against Livi & Hibs or at least competing well which can only be a good thing and could never be said under Hartley or McCann in these types of games. McIntyre is doing superb so far (months into his tenure) and we couldn't ask more from him. I think he will keep us up and he should be given a longer contract. Dundee have needed a manager like this for years and if you can't see it then you're a fucking Sofien. Yesterday went astray when the shite we're stuck with from Hartley and McCann's era came on - primarily Paul McGowan. We should all be looking forward, expecting to stay up on recent performances, building in the summer further and having a season of some interest next year. Roll on next Saturday. Granny Danger you're a fanny. RandomGuy you're a boring c**t and have been the cause of the increase in road accidents in Perth due to making drivers fall asleep at your tedium Thank you.

  11. This time 5 years ago living legend Ian Murray had just guided us to the Scottish Cup quarter finals and and we were unbeaten in 2014. A Paul McGinn and Ian Murray statue should be erected to commemorate the two greatest men to ever represent this fine town.

  13. Several people here are making pretty clear they have no issue themselves with the west region joining on their own, but are wondering if that's going to be accepted by the SJFA as the vote around this issue was to join as a whole. And I've still not seen a single valid reason to have 2 feeder leagues covering the same area. And don't come with "one is junior, the other is senior", as there is no serious difference between junior and senior non-league.
    5 points
  14. They could, if that is possible, they have to replicate exactly what the SFA does for the HL/LL/EoS/SoS. It doesn't take away the issue of the North (and East) sitting outside the Pyramid but the West region inside. The SJFA cannot do that unless they get agreement from member clubs. If it wasn't riven with self interested and job preservation for one man, the West could simply operate as an independent league outside of the SJFA, and let the SJFA concentrate on running the North and East. That is the sensible approach, but there isn't a lot of sense being employed in all of this.

  16. https://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/teams/dundee/graham-arnold-would-be-right-man-for-hibs-says-albert-kidd-1-4869990 Editor: "Hey, I need you to tout 'Straya boss Graham Arnold for the Hibs job again. He's chucked us a few dollarydoos to get his name out there." Journo: "No problem, I'll see if I can get a few quotes from someone with both a Hibs and Oz connection. How about current Hibs midfielder Mark Milligan - the guy he recently chose to be Australia captain?" Editor: "Seems a bit tenuous don't you think?" Journo: "Ok, well he recently awarded Easter Road speedster Martin Boyle his first cap for the Socceroos, I'll get straight on the phone shall I?" Editor: "Hmm, I'm just not picturing it." Journo: "Ok, um how about Jamie Maclaren - another Oz international who's literally just left Hibs to play for Melbourne in the A-League? Editor: "Doubt our readers would get the connection tbh." Journo: "Well there's always Grant Brebner – ex Hibee and now coach and pundit down under?" Editor: "Yeah, nah mate" Journo: "Remember Stuart Lovell? Played in a few very good Hibs sides when he wasn't busy throwing shrimp on the barbie". Editor: "Where did you buy that idea, the toilet store?" Journo: "Sorry. What about Pie and Bovril poster @Austinho?" Editor: "What, that insufferable c**t?". Journo: "Ok, what about that striker who played for Dundee, scored 12 times in 5 years and just happens to live in the Aussie bush? He probably kept a bench warm in Leith once upon a time" Editor: "That's the one! Absolute Hibs legend."

  20. ^ This. "Rangers" "fans" would quite happily sweep the whole administration and liquidation thing under the carpet and pretend it never happened. Give them a few years and they'll be denying they were ever out of the top flight.

  21. Hang on, I thought it was me who was supposed to be having the meltdown, reality dawning As has been said umpteen times nobody has an issue with the West joining (but you really want there to be, sorry) but it seems the North have zero interest, and the EoS are the Senior tier 6/7 league covering the east so rightly are standing their ground to stop the stupidity of having two separate leagues in the east of Scotland. It's the SJFA's own approach that will ultimately sink them unless they change. With the North not interested, how do the other regions get into the Pyramid and under different rules, has anyone answered that particular point? As it stands, it's all in or nobody in, and the North don't want in, so the SJFA will need to go back to member clubs and agree to a split in the Association for that to happen. It's either that, or the West leave the SJFA and plough their own furrow in the Pyramid.

  25. On the one hand i'm not convinced Hibs knowing will make a huge difference and to be fair what your describing is a pretty obvious setup for McGlynn tp put out. On the other hand you know the club don't like you publishing these details so why someone who calls themselves a supporter would publish details that the club believes would be detrimental to the team's chances is beyond me and just smacks of being a dick for the sake of being a dick tbh.

  29. They love John Hughes on there, but no one ever asks him about the shite he pulled. He's done some good things, but he has excuses for all the shite things. But then no one asks him why it ever got to the stage that Ryan Stevenson had to be in goals for Raith down at Ayr, or about that shite with the groundsman giving the talk. They don't push him on how he expected Inverness to magic up a much increased budget. They don't ask him why he failed at Hartlepool. Neil McCann has been on a few times and has said that he has 'no doubt' that his team would have 'come good'. No one asks him what the basis of this is. No one says, "Hang on, you signed a load of utter shite, in what way were they going to 'come good'? When was Moussa going to be a good player?".

  30. I could never fathom what demographic Scotsport SPL was being aimed at. It was on too late for kids. It was too cringey for the average working class football fan. What on earth made them think people wanted to see a keepy uppy competition or a hitting the crossbar challenge? Even OF fans (the typical lowest common denominator audience for the Scottish sports media) wouldn't have been interested in half the pish they put out. It was like a primary school teacher woke up with a hangover, realised they hadn't done that day's lesson preparation and accidentally stumbled into the secondary school by mistake, then presented a rambling, off-the-cuff lesson on basic literacy to 16 year olds.

  32. How much longer is acceptable to wait? A few days? A week? I don't really see what the difference is. Cardiff have the money, it's legally owed to Nantes and they aren't at liberty to wait for it no matter the circumstances. Cardiff should pay and claim back through their insurance. Them claiming they'll pay after they "have all the facts" is a bit baffling to be honest. The facts are they signed a player and they haven't paid for him. What else do they need to know?

  33. There's more. He also believes that Celtic have a business model that is unique in all of football and that other clubs don't do it because they lack the ambition or some shit. The model is buying players then selling them on for a big profit or something similar. If I'm wrong hopefully he can explain it. He's strangely silent when asked why Celtic have only ever won the European Cup once, as surely if they want it more and have more ambition they should be lifting it every season.

  34. I wonder if you might be thinking of David Floyd “Floydy”. He used to often start the singing off in the period you mention. If so, his problem wasn’t drink but rather a central nervous system condition (perhaps MND). Several of the family had the same condition. He ended up in a wheelchair but still followed his beloved Sons.
