  4. Oh, I seem to have hooked school bully on my line! What exactly is it that you had against Mclean? Was it, just like every bully, you pick on the youngest & weakest? Was it that he had the audacity to respond to one of your taunts from the sideline? At every opportunity you’ve made some bizarre comment on here about the boy. That enmity you accuse me of is most certainly all yours. So, let’s focus on yourself, Andrew Cochrane, father-in-law of Willie Gibson. We at Peterhead FC would liked to have welcomed you into our family but you made that rather difficult owing to your unacceptable conduct at matches. You stand at the corner of the pitch nearest the pie stall, wearing your QoS jacket, shouting derogatory comments at players. Not much wrong many would think, but when it’s Peterhead players and filled with antagonism then it’s rather unacceptable. How many more Peterhead players shouting back at you to shut up will it take until you cease with your abhorrent behaviour? I wonder if Willie’s continual drop in performance is attributed to his embarrassment at you shouting at his teammates at every match? I read with astonishment your recent comment about an Albion Rovers supporter haranguing the officials and you having to explain to your 6 year old grandson “that was not the way fans should behave and that that fan showed his club in a very poor light”. It was rather ironic, as throughout that match, you perpetually harangued the Peterhead players while you sat in your Glasgow Rangers top. Your conduct was more akin to that of some young, low-life at an Old Firm match, not that of a mature man related (loosely) to a Peterhead player. Furthermore, that post is so hypocritical it beggars belief. Let me ask you this question. Have any of your grandchildren ever asked you “why are you shouting BEAST at that player”? You even seemed proud of doing so in your posts on the Clyde and Edinburgh City threads. How hypocritical can you be? But, more importantly, how dare you conduct yourself in a manner likely to bring the good name of our club and supporters into disrepute? Your conduct is that of a repugnant, odious and embarrassing individual who should have no place around Peterhead FC. My season ticket and match day ticket purchasing fellow supporters have another issue. On here your weekly posts include your travelogue. Who cares? Well, strangely we do. When a non-supporter is receiving a players travel expenses and gets into all matches by a complimentary ticket, we feel aggrieved. Why should us that have followed the club through thick & thin pay the price to allow a Queen of the South supporter free access and travel to matches. Oh, and let’s not forget free accommodation on a Friday night at the Aberdeen Altens Hotel, paid for by Peterhead FC. It is grossly unfair, especially when it is a players relative, one who disrespects our club as you do. I’ll conclude by advising you that I’ll be at Balmoor next week for the Edinburgh City match. The big question though is, will you?

  5. Jarvis won't be up here until Monday. I'm not sure why but it was always planned that way. I was told last Tuesday that he was a target but that if we got him he wouldn't be here until the following week. Delighted with the result today. The "journeymen" signings that folk criticised McKinnon for making seem to be coming good. Dixon has been superb since we got him, Edge won MOTM today and even the maligned Osman came onto a game. The jewel in the crown for me is DKD. I'm now hoping that County win the league, splash the cash for an assault on the Premiership and decide they don't need him. The boy is a player. On a side note, Mark Waddington did hospitality today and had Stephen Dobbie's top with him. After being questioned as to why it turned out that SD was a big help to Waddo when the two of them were at Blackpool together, hence why MW presumably asked for his shirt after the game. I thought it showed a nice human touch between the two players.

  8. Sadly true....but how on earth has it come to this? Falkirk were always at the very least a strong Championship club and at times a Premier League club , known for powerful defenders, skillful midfielders and prolific strikers , also bringin through & selling on exciting young players - often beating "big teams" and getting to cup finals. Now we are a basket case changing our entire team every window. Was it not Craig Campbell boasting about this new "Brentford Model" strategy at the start of the season - well I need to check but I can't recall Brentford filling their team full of loan signings, free agents & short term misfits. What's happened? I do know that Campbell & Lang have presided over an absolute clusterf*ck - from the "you're all racists statement" to an eye-watering amount of pay offs to managers & duff players, now this bumbling naive recruitment of the current management team, all with the backdrop of almost always being bottom of an awful league. I seriously don't know how they can have the brass neck to turn up every day at FFC. Falkirk fans have no teeth (at the moment) , we are just the mugs that pay for it all , but when the fans ownership is a reality the first thing we do is get these incompetent muppets out of our club. Our identity has been completely lost among all this , lets get it back.

  9. Even if Campbell and Lang has done nothing else wrong for the last 2 years, they should still have been hunted for falsely painting the fanbase as racists, and for the rank cowardice of not apologising when that turned out to be bullshit. That should have been the end of both, if we were a properly run club

  11. Father in law has a slipped disc in his back, I recommended he perhaps try some of my "herbal medication". He accepted, tried it last night and he's just text me there saying he hasn't had as good a sleep as that in months. Not a bit of pain all night. Like most things, if done in regulation and when required, it could be life changing to some folk.

  14. They noted a stat that said 200 transfers took place in Scotland over the transfer window (not sure if they mean 200 signed or 200 overall, i.e. signings and players being punted). Billy Dodds said that it's great and shows the game is healthy up here (plus the usual wee pish about the game being 'on the up' which as we all know is code for Sevco challenging at the top of the Premiership, ignoring the other clubs who are doing the same). Anyway, I have to disagree. I think it shows the opposite. It shows a reckless panic in some cases and gross mismanagement in many others. It's not sustainable in many cases surely. It suggests that we have a lot of dud managers up here too. Teams signing what is in effect a new starting team is a mental situation. The money being chucked around is a worrying sign that perhaps lessons have been forgotten. Another alarming factor is a creates an expectation that this is the norm and will up the pressure (from fans) on clubs to make a load of signings in January every year when a club isn't quite where fans demand. Making a couple of signings, which some clubs budget for, in January is fine, but getting loads in is ludicrous. When clubs cave to the expectations, which will be grossly inflated by media frenzies, more risks will be taken, and it will end very badly indeed for quite a few clubs.

  22. Next season, the EoS ex junior clubs will benefit considerably because : * one or two of them will be playing in the Lowland League * the new EoS premier division will be a higher standard competition, with a chance of promotion to Tier 5 at the end of the season * between six and a dozen EoS clubs should have been awarded an SFA Licence, opening up regular Scottish Cup entry * some other junior clubs will have joined the EoS * clubs may vote in favour of the new tier 7 divisions being organised geographically, thereby increasing local derbies and reducing travel costs for all EoS clubs * attendances will increase, with enhanced sponsorship opportunities (as a consequence of the above). I'm looking forward to it already. I hope you are .

  25. Cracking result and keeps our good run of form going. Main points from today were: 1. Big Edge was great defensively and was a brilliant header for his goal. Did look a bit suspect when passing out from the back but his defensive play was a lot better than what I was expecting based on the reactions after we signed him. 2. Dixon had another great game, as did McKenna. Thought Mghee was much better than last week too. Hopefully the start of a settled back four. Keeper looks a great find aswell. 3. Osman looked a lot sharper and was really effective today. Paton played to his strengths aswell - not suitable for every game but certainly has been impressive at making our midfield more combative. 4. KDK was phenomenal; was a silly sending off but also wasn't helped by the fact the ref couldn't fucking wait to show him a second yellow. Shame he'll miss next week but I think the impact of his absence will be reduced due to Alloa's pitch making the game really direct anyways.

  28. Wilder and Fury absolutely should get a minimum 60/40 if not 55/45 or even 50/50 split. Both are undefeated, both big names (especially after their fight) and both with similar records to Joshua. One has a world title, one is considered the lineal champion. The simple fact is those two fighters will not accept less, nor should they, and without them, perception of Joshua will be that he’s a protected fighter cherry picking the low hanging fruit in the division. He needs to fight them or his image will get tarnished, and with that, his marketability. Regarding the Miller fight, it is worse in every respect than were he to fight Whyte again. Whyte has demonstrably improved since the first fight and whether you believe he won against Parker or the first Chisora fight, his record shows that he did, and his record is considerably better than Millers. Out with Fury, Wilder and Ortiz, Whyte is probably the next most deserving and most legitimate threat to Joshua.

  30. @Tynierose ... I was going to red the cup results for your "Cardinal Dickpoo" patter - which even your children I'm sure would cringe over. But then you made up for it by having your maw as one of the teams. So no reds no greens. Anyway. f**k the cup. The League is King. Let's look at the tables. And I've rather ambitiously decided to do the tables as a poem Christophe isn't pissed off at his raising of the gold, While MSU must just make do, with coming secondfold. Down below, it's cheerio to Salvo and AFJ, But Bully Wee must wait and see, serves him right for being gay (in a happy sense) And in the SWL ... German Jag, the dirty slag, has sooked his way to silver Shit, nothing rhymes with silver. Sod that. Worst idea I've had since I tried boiling a tattie scone as an experiment. Up goes GKNeil, Leedsy is in the upstairs playoff ... at the other end, Alang1993 shat the bed, whereas Ziggy merely pissed in it. DublinMagyar's petulance has landed him in the play-offs and a tribunal with the beaks on Monday morning. And in the BHL, CaspianChris could have taken Thursday and Friday off and still won the league (had it not been for a tribunal in front of the beaks). It's all adding up for mathematics, and The Captain is in the play-offs. So I'll now hand over to @SlipperyP to thai things up.

  34. Why would there be any need to mention that members of senior leagues are senior clubs? They were formed first then the Junior "grade" came later so they had their own moniker. Kilbowie Benches seems to think that members of the English FA aren't English clubs because their association is called The FA and not the English FA. The FA was formed first so they don't need any other name. If another organisation is formed later it's up to them to form the distinction.

  37. Alloa are 7/2 some places to win at home to Ayr. Ayr have Shankland back but Alloa continue to be priced up like they're a lot worse than the highly competitive side they are. Alloa have made me a decent amount of money this season and I'm thinking of getting some light cosmetic surgery done with the proceeds. Ross County are 2/1 to win at Dunfermline. Frankly it's a certainty and anyone who disagrees is not invited to celebrate this victory on my yacht on the River Forth later tonight. Raith Rovers are good at home, but the bookies have shortened them too much today, and, similar to @jagfox99, I like the look of Forfar Draw No Bet at 10/3 with McBookie. Put those 3 in an acca, watch them all romp home, then join me for champagne, ching, and wall-to-wall flange at my place from, say, 6pm.

  40. They’ve fucked up a lot including the statement over the racist abuse but don’t go exaggerating, the point is lost and we lose focus. The best way we can have a say on the running of the club is to back the fan ownership scheme. It’s not a quick fix but it is a process that we could eventually have a fair bit of control.
