This is not official - so wait for an official announcement (how long?) - but what I hear is that the East Region JFA is to become the Tayside Senior League. All existing East Region Juniors going into that, regardless of whether or not they are north or south of the Tay Bridge. Those north of the Tay Bridge who gain a Licence will be able (not immediately compulsory) to apply for membership of the Highland league. If two apply or one plus say Banks O'Dee, then the Highland League could split into two Divisions. Those south of the Tay Bridge who gain a Licence could progress via the East of Scotland Senior League (again not immediately compulsory). The SFA's original proposal when the Lowland League was set up was for two Lowland feeder leagues, one in the west and one in the east. The EOS being the feeder in the east with the ERJFA league merging with that in an agreed way.

Or if it is, RM hasn't told the FFC BOD, the player himself or the people who would need to know beforehand. What under 19 team would this be? My understanding - which may well be inaccurate - is that there is no such thing as an under 19 team. Anywhere. The Elite clubs play their youth players in an Under 18 league, which we wouldn't have had access to because our former academy couldn't attain Elite status. So any sixteen year olds who we sign in future will go straight into the reserve league. That is and will continue to be the pathway. Just as it was when we signed a young Kevin McAllister. Or so I understand. If I'm wrong (which I may be as I can't find any current info on it) then please append links to recent results / tables from this under 19 league. If I'm correct though, then the league doesn't exist. So how can you claim people weren't willing to cover the cost of a team to play in it?

You dont have to have an academy to pull in funds. Selling players you have picked up who have subsequently performed well works just as well and in terms of numbers, this method probably (my guess) has a higher strike rate than having an academy. We have picked up real quality as recently as Vaulks and Leahy for example.
