  3. Here's what we won tonight: A play-off place for Euro 2020 (at which we'd play a minimum of 2 matches at Hampden and 1 at Wembley); A home semi-final in that play-off, and a 50-50 shot of a home final, all against countries who finished below us; Into Pot 3 rather than Pot 4 for the Euro 2020 Qualifying Groups; Promoted to League B in the next Nations League, in which we'll get tastier matches, and a ranking no lower than 24th; €1 million (€750,000 for winning the group, and an additional €250,000 on the basic payment in the next NL). The first good news around the national team in feckin' years. It was a huuuuge win.

  6. A terrific feeling. Enjoy. Sorry to hear - hope everything works out ago and you get the support you need too. My oldest daughter last night as player escort for the Scotland vs Israel game. Amazing where the time goes.

  7. I see we’re selling the half season tickets again. For anyone thinking about it, I’d urge you to crack on and buy it. This extra cash up front before January could make the difference when it comes to getting a player in when the window opens. First 50 at £110 then £125 thereafter. Hands in pockets, lads.

  9. See Davie Provan speaking up for Falkirk and slamming the SFA for not releasing Zak Rudden from Scotland duties: https://thisisfutbol.com/2018/11/blogs/scottish-premier-league/sky-pundit-rudden-should-have-been-playing-for-club/ Davie Provan has slammed the Scottish Football Association for failing to release Rangers starlet Zak Rudden from age-group duty to play for loan club Falkirk at the weekend. The Sky Sports pundit and ex-Celtic midfielder is convinced the Ibrox forward, who is on a season-long loan with the Scottish Championship club, should not have been made to play for the nation’s Under-19s. “Rudden should have been playing in their relegation crunch with Partick,” Provan told the Scottish Sun. “Instead, the Bairns did without him after the SFA refused to release him from the Scotland Under-19 squad facing San Marino. “Who in their right mind at Hampden made that decision? Given the Bairns’ precarious league position and the potential financial hit from relegation, Rudden should have been playing for the people paying his wages. “Is it any wonder there is so little goodwill towards the SFA?”

  15. It’s an emotional investment, more than anything else. We want the club to be able to afford the best players. I know loads of folk, including almost everyone I go with, who buy full season books and make an enormous loss on them each season. Why? Because you want the club to do well, and for that to happen we need to stump up. I’ll probably buy one this month despite probably making no more than 5 home games between now and the end of the season because if it enables us to get someone in in January who makes a difference who fucking cares if you lost out on £50? Get them bought.

  17. Alright lads, I recorded a podcast with one-time Alloa Athletic full-back Mick Dunlop. He played during the team's unexpected relegation from the Second Division in 2010/11 and he talks about the miserable second half of the season and how they lost their way and ended up going down. Not a fantastic time to be a Wasp but a good listen all the same! CLICK

  25. Quite the inverse sadly. It was 6 weeks since we last had sex and on that occasion I had been wildly aroused for about 3 days solid in the build up and only lasted a few strokes. This time round I started off fine and then went limp as we changed positions, I started trying to rub some life back into the old wounded warrior but this just made her laugh awkwardly before we decided to call it a day and then we returned to the lounge and watched David Attenborough’ Dynasties in silence. I’ll hopefully get the opportunity to disappoint her once more before the year is out.

  29. Adding colt teams to the league structure greatly undermines the whole league structure. Yet there isn't one single benefit. Other countries show there is not a shred of evidence that this benefits youth development. The plan is completely and utterly stupid.

  30. I still like Djoum. He's always willing to play out of position on the flank for us for balance. Never understood what goes through peoples head's thinking he's not good enough, but starts last night for Cameroon against Brazil. Saying he'll block Cochrane's development is also silly; he's 17 FFS. The onus on the youth players coming through, should be to perform to a level that they usurp the more regular, experienced players and not the other way around. Levein clearly has a solid track record with youths, so I don't think we need to worry about him doing a Craig Brown keeping experienced players in for self-preservation purposes.

  37. Hearts have around a dozen players on loan at various levels of the national league structure - aligned to their current ability and development need. They are not playing games at half pace. They don't need Colts playing at a level which is below the level that those who are already ready can play at. The youth and reserve leagues are only part of the story - there is already a good mechanism for getting them experience at the right level. Colts teams should be nowhere near a league structure.

  38. The old primary school building in Inverkeithing suffered a massive fire last night, but thankfully no police investigation is needed. The part time detectives/ full time mummies of Facebook have decided that because Taylor Wimpey were recently denied planning permission for flats, they obviously hired someone to burn the school down. It 100% had nothing to do with their own unplanned/unsupervised kids. #shocking

  43. I've said it before, but what really blows my mind about Trump isn't the racism, the narcissism, the thin skin - it's how UNBELIEVABLY stupid he is. You forget sometimes, then you see him talking about raking the forest, getting the name of the town wrong (Pleasure instead of Paradise) and insisting "we're going to have great climate". What does that even mean? He's a terrifying mix of deeply, deeply stupid and supremely confident.
