  1. None of the four of them are any loss whatsoever. Good riddance. Garbage signings by a garbage manager.

  2. I think on here there are two distinct groups. Those that think you are a terrible poster are in one group. And in the other group there is you.

  3. Just read on the club website that "random searches" will be carried out before tommows "derby. If the guys find a right back can they please take him immediately to the home dressing room.

  6. Folk rated Froxylias because he has a cool name and a good beard/hair combo. He was in and out of the Dumbarton team last season and hasn't shown us anything at all. Strange signing at the time and looks even stranger in hindsight. If his name had been Mark Smith everyone would've been slating the signing.

  7. Brilliant to see McKinnon wasnt prepared to just plod along and hope for the best until January. Which if I'm being honest is what I'd resigned myself to.

  8. Falkirk don't "hold" their registrations but they can't sign elsewhere professionally without an open window. They could go to a level which doesn't use windows (which in Scotland means Lowland League or below). I don't think they'll be able to go to England or anywhere else even below windows level as that would require an international clearance application through FIFA and that can't be done outwith a window unless they were free agents before the window closed or unless they get themselves reinstated as amateurs (requires not to have played professionally for at least 28 days). They COULD go sign professionally in a country where the window is currently open or will be imminently (I don't know when the Australian window opens for instance). Also I don't think North Cyprus is in FIFA, perhaps Froxylias is going to kick a ball there for a while? The boy on loan from Port Vale is completely screwed. Unless he's also being released by them he's stuck in limbo until January 1st as he can't go back to Port Vale either. Presumably it was made clear he wasn't going to play at all and he may as well at least go home and stop incurring accommodation costs up here. You've probably paid them off in a lump sum and called it redundancy which will save on the tax and NI at least. As for the goalkeeper loan, either this was done last Sunday and runs to Jan 1st and has only just been announced, or it's a 7 day emergency loan, albeit one that can be renewed every 7 days until Dumbarton's keeper is fit. I presume it's more likely the latter.

  9. Please let Haber be in the next batch. The only way he's going to score is if the ball hits him and it goes in by mistake.

  11. Exactly. The level of ignorance about how this works is frightening. Like McKinnon has just called them into his office, handed them a P45 and wished them all the best. These guys had contracts, they're not going to voluntarily rip them up and walk away with nothing. Because the transfer window is closed they are now effectively unemployable until January, so it's a safe bet that they will still be receiving a full wage until then. All that has really happened today is that they've been advised they are not part of the plans and told not to bother coming in any more. The idea that this somehow frees up wages for other players is a million miles wide of the mark. I'd love to know how much we have spent paying off dud managers, assistant managers, superscouts and players over the past 12 months. Incompetence on an industrial scale does not come cheap.

  19. Robson has become a better player through not playing. Whilst it made sense to play him when Brough was injured (and we played McGhee instead), think it’s well established he is a better wing back than a full back. The goal at Ross County being proof of that. Again, like Froxy, this is the second manager who isn’t playing him. I would be happy to keep him around the squad but wouldn’t be absolutely gutted if he went either. No chance Nelson is coming back either btw, with or without Robson.

  20. Could add another 4 or 5 to that list but at least we're doing something now rather than later. Hopefully Mckinnon can bring in better quality, wouldn't be hard mind you. Still looking for the thread where everyone was complaining that the summer signings weren't being vetted,I'm still looking. Hindsights great as a footy fan.

  22. So I’ve been doing a bit more of my #factual #TB4 #facts and I’ve just discovered the following further proof of #TB4 domination: The last non-#TB4 current top flight team who won the Scottish League is incredibly Dundee in 1962. 1962!!! Unless we get a miracle this year that’ll make it 57 years since anyone outside of Kilmarnock, Aberdeen, Celtic and Motherwell won the league. Regardless of which #W38 club you support you have to just hold your hand up to the utter quality of #TB4. #facts

  23. Messi is better technically, Ronaldo athletically. The end result is still the same, the ball goes in the back of the net one way or another. Personally I’d rather watch Messi do it, but I’m not making outlandish claims like some in here.

  27. No they wouldn't Alfonso Dastis, the Spanish foreign minister, made it clear that the government would not block an independent Scotland’s EU hopes, although he stressed that Madrid would not welcome the disintegration of the UK. Asked directly whether Spain would veto an independent Scotland joining the EU, Dastis said: “No, we wouldn’t.”

  28. Why do you refer to it as the Celtic game? Why is it not the Hearts game? What do you mean why was it only the ‘Celtic’ game to be moved? Do you want both matches moved to Murrayfield? Why do you not see that the logical game to be in Edinburgh is the Hearts match? Why do you not see the potential carnage with the bulk of Rangers fans and Hearts fans arriving/leaving at the same stations at around the same time makes this the only sensible solution? Why are you always the victims?

  30. It’s not hyperbole if it’s true. Ronaldo is a phenomenal goal scorer, an absolutely elite athlete, and the second best player that has ever played, but he isn’t the football player that Messi is. No one is. Messi is one of, if not the best goal scorer in history, whilst at the same time being the most consistently creative player in Europe for over a decade. He drops deep in to midfield, dictates the tempo of games, creates multiple chances per game, both directly with assists and by building attacks, and often times then finishes them too. He’s Xavi, Iniesta and Ronaldo rolled in to one absolutely spectacular football player. Luka Modric or Kevin De Bruyne (or any other elite creative midfielder) can’t do what he does, but Messi can do what they can. Harry Kane or Aguero (or any other elite striker) can’t do what Messi does, but he can do what they can. People fawn and gush over him because he is truly, truly special. As a footballer, he is miles ahead of everyone else, both past and present, maybe that just won’t be fully acknowledged until he retires and people realise just how good he was.

  36. He’s obviously still young and learning but I think he’s do absolutely fine in League 1 and like has been said he’s far better than our current number 1. He got chucked into the team around December last year and had a few decent games but also that absolute howler against Dunfermline which must’ve shattered his confidence. Started the last game of the season at home to St. Mirren and he was fantastic keeping a clean sheet and deservedly MoM. Only started one game this season at home to Forfar where he gave away a penalty in the first 10 minutes after taking a heavy touch and fouling the striker but saved it and grew in confidence the rest of the game. He’s decent with the ball at his feet and he likes quick distribution always looking to see if there’s a pass on as soon as he gets it. Of course it goes without saying he’s better than Grant Adam. Does Ross Perry get a regular start for you guys? Any ‘keeper would struggle playing behind that c**t.

  41. This is definitely Fir Park not Love Street. Knowetop School (now adjacent to the East Stand) is visible to the top right of the ground, and the old Motherwell College site is in the foreground. Fir Park Street can be seen running at an angle to where the Phil O’Donnell/Main Stand is now. Airbles Road can be seen in the background - the area on the top right of the photo is where the Civic Centre now stands. And, yes, I did create an account just to post this! Great thread.

  44. The factual inaccuracies are only the most glaring problem with this article. The deeper problem is the way if presents someone with cerebral palsy as childlike. What relevance does his favourite game or favourite goal to do with his shambolic treatment? Is it normal, when reports of fans being treated appallingly at football grounds, to be asked what their favourite goal was?
