  1. For anyone who missed them, there were a couple of players with a Falkirk connection in the stand yesterday. Once a Bairn, always...

  2. Its absolutely magnificent having Ray McKinnon as our manager. Just seems a lot more positive vibe around the club. Thanks Morton.

  3. He already made his last post. You probably missed it as it wasn't in a Dundee United thread.

  5. Listening to one post match McGlynn interview makes more sense than all of Barry Smith's combined....I thought Raith TV had made it illegal to talk about the players and tactics The best thing about McGlynn today was his end of interview saying if you can put on the youths when can you. The total opposite of Barry Smith and why this club will now strive forward and win this league. For the first time since McKinnon left I can't wait to go to Starks next weekend!

  7. Let's look at the FACTS: Burnley have 4 points, Cardiff have 2. Hearts have 19 points, St Johnstone have 8. Therefore Hearts and St Johnstone > Burnley and Cardiff.

  19. Ouch! https://allantmoore.wordpress.com/2018/09/23/my-resignation-from-the-labour-party-an-open-letter/ A very well worded letter that does a good job explaining some of the reasons on labours apparent terminal decline in Scotland. The leadership is britnat to the core....every bit as full of it as the tories.

  21. That’s in this thread alone where the Dundee United result has no bearing on anything. Swing and a miss you are obsessed.

  22. While being a Dundee fan, I thought Csaba was a good appointment for United, they avoided going down the usual Scottish failure route, unfortunately for them, he was just as bad. Their next manager has to be the right one, getting stuck in that league can be hellish, and sadly we know all about that.

  23. Just been catching up on this sorry little saga today. Labour have got themselves into a right old state over it. Shame. It seems to me like Dugdale though she had been handed a blank cheque and had decided to rack up costs to the point where even the slight possibility losing would make WOS drop the case. If she lost, well no skin off her nose - the party can pick up the tab. But if she won, or got the case dropped, then that would be a massive scalp she could claim, and have the bonus of financially ruining one of the leading figures in the independence movement (and one who has not been shy in pointing our all her political inadequacies). Shame she looks to have been hoisted by her own petard, and her wailing about how unfair it all is, is frankly pathetic. I hope she gets an absolute doing in court for her mendacity. I bet she though attacking WOS during first ministers questions while protected by parliamentary privilege was quite the jape. God knows why she decided to it again in the Record. I can only guess that she's even stupider than she seems. I've not a shred of sympathy for her.

  25. To all the boys who played yesterday I would like to say well done. The final score was harsh to say the least, as I felt it was not a true reflection of your efforts and although you were never going to win the game, you certainly deserved more from it. The Rob Roy fans I talked to said the very same and all were in agreement that wee Dinky's red was never a sending off and that in that one decision the ref ruined the game as a contest. So all the best to Rob Roy in the next round and we just need to focus on the next few league games. Just keep believing in yourselves as you are better than some of our results have shown T

  26. My feelings on the game yesterday were that we still didn't look very good, but Accies were woeful. The boy Brustad was honking and McMann was determined to give us a goal via a throw-in. Don't get me wrong, I'm delighted with the 3 points, and we needed the win, we definitely had a bit more zip about us for the end of the first half after the goal and then brought that into the start of the second. Naturally given our position we began to shite ourselves the longer the game went on and Accies really could've had a point looking at the opportunities they missed. We were at absolute panic stations towards the end. Didn't realise how shocking a miss that Accies one was that went across the box until seeing it back, christ! Great goal to seal the win and brilliant to see Roarie back. Hopefully the win kicks us on now. Even though I don't think we played well, the fact that we have won might bring a bit of confidence back to the players and we can look to build on that with some better performances. Clearly meant a lot to the players at the end when everyone joined in the goal celebrations and Nabi was going mental on the sidelines. Thought Miller looked good (although not a defender) and Kallman was a handful, he seemed to do well with what I'd considered lost balls quite a few times. When he decides he wants to Elton looks like a great wee player, but he needed both Kamara and Kerr to tell him to get the finger out yesterday. Special mention to my man of the match, Lewis Spence. He's been a bit of a figure of ridicule between me and my mates, he always tries hard but doesn't look up to much but yesterday he was superb. Composed, level-headed and controlled a lot of the play in midfield I felt. Fingers crossed we're off the mark and can continue this now. Who the f**k really cares how you perform as long as you get the three points eh? Thank You.

  27. That was dire yesterday. What the f**k is going on. We have two good left backs so we play a centre half there. One shot all day, players apart from McGurn well off the pace and didn’t look interested. Gary Bollan has to take some of the blame here. If you look at the players we have, we are massively underperforming, why ? i am becoming worried yet again for the third season in a row.

  29. I think yesterday saw our best performance of the season, and with that the two players that missed out against Caley must start each game. Vigurs and Mullins. To get the most out of our strongest area, I think we have to play 5 in midfield each week. I think Lindsay gives us a more dynamic midfield with his energy. With Gardyne likely to be out it may give us options to see who can play on the left. I would like to see DKD play more often. Then the final place would be taken by Cowie or Draper. As much as I love Don and was great seeing someone come through at County and getting all the way to International level (also showing Gerrard how to take a penalty in a National Cup Final), I would pick Draper. DKD - Vigurs - Draper - Lindsay - Mullins Can Paton play on the left? As that could be an option if he returns from loan. Any one else pick something different in midfield?

  30. Yesterday's game is the kind of game we would have lost at the start of the season, struggling to score goals and throwing them in at our own end. Its amazing what a bit of confidence can do for a team, always looking a threat going forward and the defence keeping clean sheets, add to that great options on the bench and you can see where that gets you 5 unbeaten, if we can stay clear of injuries it can be a really good season. On a side note Docherty was well out of order yesterday and needs a doing from the manager, hardly kicked a ball all season and thinks he's still on penalties when hes been on the park 5 minutes, knew he would miss it after all the arguing, get it sorted Darren

  31. Here's the thing, why did we start with only eight fit players? If Hutton/Perry weren't fit start Thomson in their role and put one of the fit strikers we have on the bench up top instead of Thommo.

  32. He posts on Instagram quite a lot and is a fan of a hashtag. Moving on from the social media minterness of our merry band of freakshow, nutcase supporters, I really fear we wont take action and this unacceptable form will continue. I think it's great that Steele wants to sit on the bus with fans or come into the bar and give updates but ultimately I'd rather have a chairman who makes the ruthless decisions necessary to improve us on the pitch. How long do the board keep telling us "but he has loads of injuries, he deserves another 4 weeks!". Yesterday it was obvious to even the most loyal Aitken arse licker that our players had absolutely zero clue what they were supposed to be doing. Injuries or not, I expect Aitken to put a competitive team on the pitch who actually know what they are supposed to be doing. He simply has to go, yesterday was the final nail in his coffin. It's time for the board to grow a set of balls and bag him. The John Steele statements and speeches about injuries will wear very thin very fast if they continue. The board are not only risking us becoming embroiled in a relegation battle, they are risking all the goodwill they have built up with supporters being completely ruined. It's not a knee jerk decision John, it's one that has been coming for a long, long time and everyone knows it.

  37. Online gaming is something I rarely do tbh. It just infuriates me getting constantly beaten by kids or VL who don't have anything else to do all day so get really good. I much prefer games with action and a good story. As I say, The Last of Us was almost like and interactive film. Anyone who plays that game and doesn't enjoy it probably wouldn't be interested in gaming. Though going by your comments I expect you won't be giving it a go anyway [emoji14]

  40. Venezia 1-1 Livorno Not much to report really, €14 for a ticket, €7.50 for the boat so I walked back. My two trains getting there were twenty and fifteen minutes late, the trip is supposed to take under an hour. The game was pretty even, Venezia were the better team but Livorno had the better chances. Harvey Sinclair sat on the bench but seemed to be a pretty happy boy during the warm up, he was easy to spot as the token white-legged player. My appreciation of the match was slightly ruined by a group of three drunk Celtic fans acting the fool in an attempt to endear themselves to the locals. Despite the claims in the photo, you had to pay for alcohol and there was nobody to swap stickers with.

  42. Theres something very "Scottish Fitba" about it all Levein absolutely slaughtering the SPFL was sensational, btw, just seen his interview on SSN. Literally says the decision has been made purely for the benefit of the Old Firm. Nice to see a public figure calling them out on it.
