  1. How on earth do you infer that from Lichtgilphead's post? You're every bit as bad as WATTOO - the posters you're responding to aren't the ones sacrifiing his accusers on a political altar here. Saying any investigation needs to be given time to run its course by following due process to allow the facts become clear rather than jumping to snap judgements is the view that shows concern for the rights of victims, because it's the approach that allows their complaint to be heard and taken seriously. The views that disregard potential victims of sexual offences are those which amount to, on one side, 'Westminster conspiracy there can't be any truth in it because see me I'm SNP!' which effectively says anyone on their side of a debate should have impunity to behave how they like and they'll always cry conspiracy regardless of the truth of any allegation. Whether this particular investigation results in Salmond being referred to police and/or charged and found guilty or not, jumping to such a conclusion shows a willingness to throw victims under the bus if the crime they've suffered is politically inconvenient and that's a deeply concerning and abhorrent position to take. The other viewpoint, which you're trying and failing to conceal is yours, of 'Yas I always knew Salmond was a creep, I hope this destroys the SNP because I don't like them politically' is also one that shows no concern for the women, because you're actively hoping someone is the victim of a sex offence then celebrating if that's the case because it's convenient politically. It's a small step away from Rangers fans showing their concern for victims of child abuse by singing 'the bears are having a party, the **** are shagging weans', or someone responding to news of a celebrity being charged with such offences with 'I hope it's *other celebrity* next!' Of course, everyone should hope that no one is next because we should hope that people stop committing sexual offences and no one has to be a victim of it. It's a view that actively celebrates the suffering victims have had to endure, which is also a deeply concerning position to take.

  2. The last season under Hartley was dismal, but I thought last season was worse, and this season looks like its somehow get even worse, thats just staggering. The goalkeeping situation is bizarre, Parish is average, but pretty solid and reliable, if we can upgrade on him great, but to spend money on Hamilton was utterly ridiculous, he has no composure and quite simply cant use his his feet. In central defence we have Caulker who hasnt lived up to the billing sadly, Meekings who is a bombscare, Kusunga who has moments, O'Dea who has lost his pace and Waddell who shows good promise, surely between them we should be able to get a solid 2 or 3 depending on formation. Pick them and stick with it, stop changing every game. We have one right back in Kerr, who was being very strongly touted for a Scotland call up a few seasons ago, yet now looks fragile and scared, we have one left back in Ralph, who looks a downgrade on both Holt and Aurtenetxe. In midfield I believe we have several good options, some really good players, yet we cant get a system that works, theres no balance, little creativity and absolutely no width. Very poor squad management has left us struggling. Up front the less said the better. Moussa, well we all know about him, Mendy is never good enough, Wighton looks lost 99% of the time, Kallman will hopefully be the answer we need. Id love McCann to turn it round, but its been 15 months since he was appointed, and its like groundhog day IMO. These are just my opinions, and Im sure I will get shouted at for being negative, but he has ruined Kerr from being a good player, made an absolute mess of signings, is tactically naive, stubborn and argumentative. Theres no progression, and we are in real trouble.

  3. Players aren't interested nor anywhere near good enough. Hartley doesn't have it in his locker to fix this and he should do the right thing and admit that. It's not an over-exaggeration to say that 0-8 would have been a fair reflection of Queen's dominance.

  4. That is the worst team I have ever seen in 55 years as a Falkirk fan and I don’t think the players have the ability to fix it. Defence terrible midfield missing and forwards a joke. Resign Hartley please as it is your mess

  5. I grew up in the west coast (nearest club Dumbarton by road, Morton as the crow flies), my old man is from Aberdeen. Given that he and my old dear were separated as long as I can remember, he did an excellent job in raising me as a Dons fan. It would have been so easy for me to slip into supporting one of the filth, but none-the-less, here I am a long term Pittodrie season ticket holder. I grew up with Aberdeen being mostly awful. I have some recollections of Gillhaus being exceptional, and Jess being my childhood idol. Mostly I remember Ben Thornley failing to beat the first man, Nicky Walker being horrific vs Brondby (and the fans singing about bacon), and doing the conga at Almondvale while we were getting pumped. I distinctly remember the day that my dad took me to Fir Park (Thistle are his little team from his days working in Glasgow), when the blue bigots beat us at Ibrox to win the league in 1991. I was in Athens, Madrid, and Munich. I was directly behind Severin when he pinged in that belter the first time we beat the filth in a hundred ought years. All those shit times, with the odd inflection of joy, have been worth it though. We're a club that is sustainable, on an upward trajectory, and most importantly Standing Free. I love my club, and I love every one of you that wears our proud two stars.

  6. Said it last week.. it's not about tactics, it's not about who is picked where, it's that our squad is fucking atrocious. This is a bunch of talentless seaside leaguers. That's what our clown of a manager and scout have brought here. f**k me, where did they drag shite like TOE and Dallison from. Genuinely incredible that we've got so many utter failures. Get the "it's only X league games" to f**k. We're shite. Utter shite. This is a season to finish 8th somehow and sigh with relief.

  7. First time I have posted on the forum. As some of the points made on here are sometimes laughable. If you read the topic and not just the heading the prospective coach has the chance to learn and gain further qualifications with the club with the option to take trainings on there own and the potential for a more permanent position. This is for the youth system and not a first team coach. Your point makes no sense imo

  10. That was fucking embarrassing. Worse than the performance at Tannadice last season and probably the worst Falkirk performance that I can remember. As good as Stephen Dobbie is, he’s brilliant btw, we made it so ridiculously easy for him today. He scored 3 but really should’ve had at least 5. I really wanted it to work out with Hartley, despite what a few say he done a really good job last season, and wanted to give him time but that capitulation today means he needs to go. It was a performance that gets managers the sack. We had absolutely nothing about us today. No shots on target clearly shows we had nothing in an attacking sense but the defending was horrific. I’ve been impressed with Harrison so far but watching Dobbie breeze past him to score was ridiculous. Paton hiding like f**k in the middle of the park offering nothing. What an absolute riddy to announce a MoM as well.

  13. I've stated several times that Hartley done enough last season to show me he deserved a crack with his own squad. He's shown me enough in the past few games that that crack is not good enough. He needs to go ASAP. Keeping Houston too long last season (and May ten years ago) cost us dearly. We can't make that same mistake again.

  14. Some of the basic stuff we were doing wrong today was incredible, how many times did players get easily rolled from Queens throw ins which then put us in trouble? It was an embarrassment. That's the worst Falkirk performance I've ever seen in 21 years of going to games. I did not want to jump to an early conclusion but we're fucked. Dallison is a big posing clown and Harrison murder, Dobbie roasted him for pace in a foot race ffs. Owen Evans is a non entity and Paton is probably the the worst player in the league. I could go on but I'll stop. How is it feasibly possible for us to have made so many horrendous signings? We need to go cap in hand to McKee and Kidd to get them plodding away in midfield again. I'd bite your hand off for 8th, which is mental to be saying after 3 games.

  17. hopkin or McCall please. after the alloa friendly I came on here and said I was very underwhelmed by our new signings. I took some stick. every game since then I've said similar. too many folks on here wouldn't know a decent footballer. Paul Watson scored 2 today and we have Harrison and dallison taiwo plays in the premiership we have Paton sibbald and Miller play in the premier and we have toe froxy and haber hippo and longridge are away and we have sammut and petravious o points 0 entertainment bottom of league and 2 shots on target in 3 games. queens had 27 shots on our goal today two other things annoy me. his post match interviews are bordering on aggressively defensive and also his treating the league cup as friendlies gets on my goat. I pay good money to watch us in a competitive cup. poor formations poor tactics losing decent players replacing them with utter guff which id be embarrassed if he ever saw before signing Hartley out and hopkin or McCall in.

  20. Good to see BAWarmy still championing knicker wetting amongst our support on twitter. Can’t help feel Stubbs has been written off without having been given a chance. Already jumping on the supposed team sheet for today. Some St Mirren fans need to take a step back and realise where we are and just how different this season is to last.

  22. All the lies and deceit have ended any realistic chance of Selkirk FC going forward. Nobody in the town wants to back them, no player wants to sign for them. With no money (and ridiculous debt) it's impossible to compete in the EoS league never mind the Lowland League. The open trials have been a disaster and the desire to link up with Edusport (and laterally another side who had explored the option of buying the club over to take Selkirk's place in the LL) was hardly going to appeal to the "locals". IMO the only reason they haven't folded yet is due to the huge sum of money due to one of the committee members as eluded to in an earlier post. The amount of debt racked up is crazy and what makes it's even more crazy is the fact this was allowed to go on for the past few years under the noses of the committee members, even though it was glaringly obvious to those on the outside that there had to be some dodgy dealings going on financially. Going forward, it's essential that the Youths don't end up folding. They have a great hardworking committee who manage their own finances and have the backing of local sponsors etc. The same goes for Selkirk Vics. What happens with the clubrooms and pitches is anyone's guess really but there's certainly the desire to ensure the Youths and Vics carry on. Should add that it appears Jaydee Sharkey done everything he could to fix the mess and should be commended for his efforts. Perhaps if he'd been chairman 6 or 7 years ago things might be different.

  23. I didn't use the word "miracle", champ. You asked what he did last season and I gave you the facts. Are points against Brechin not worth the same as other points? Should we be drawing up a new league table to see how the other teams did without Brechin and meaningless games?

  25. I quite like the legends posts if I’m being honest, I get him. He’s passionate about his club and doesn’t give a f**k what other people think. End of the day if you take what he says to heart then back to the kitchen for you sweetheart. I think Darvel will come good. I also hope Whitletts continue playing well to. I like both of them and it fills me with joy both teams don’t like each other 🤣

  27. Getting away from Dobbie-mania just for a second. Obviously today Falkirk were every bit as bad as their supporters warned us they were but we still had to live up to our side of the bargain, and it sounds like we did with aplomb. Looking at Dundee United's results since we kick started their season perhaps they aren't quite as bad as was foretold. Whilst it was still a missed opportunity it perhaps wasn't the bottle job we thought at the time. Morton are motoring along nicely so the draw at Cappielow rates as a decent result. I'm not jumping to any conclusions after 3 games but when you factor in the improved performance in the League Cup it has been a good start to the season.

  28. Cumbernauld were well deserving of their win despite a decent second half by Darvel. The Darvel keeper had at least 4 excellent saves and but for him the game would have been out of sight at HT. Darvel almost snatched a point late on but the keeper made a great save. . The ground was looking great today and the pie shop and bar were excellent. Cumbernauld is well worth a visit for those who haven’t been before.

  32. The thing about virginton is that he is 95% of the reason I mildly dislike Morton. The other 5% is because of that time when Alan Moore said it was Experience vs Kids. "Why would I leave? I'm the manager of Morton and we're going to the Premier League" #WeGotThis

  34. Lets just wait to see how the situation plays out. The Club were condemned for not signing anyone, signing guys fans from other clubs said were crap, not being ambitious and signing players we had never heard of. They have been criticised for not releasing information and then for not revealing every detail. They have shown a degree of ambition in trying to pull this off. None of us know this will pan out, if it is successful we could have one of our biggest signings in years. If not we will be in exactly the same position as we were last week.

  36. If we get a doing (which I don't think we will) then a fair number of our support will agree with him. And if we continue to struggle, then just about everyone will want Hartley out. Just as they did with Houston last year. The difference is most want him to succeed even if they doubt his ability to do so. You get the impression Edibairn wants him to fail, which is why he repeats the same line time and time again. Say it often enough and maybe people will come round to your way of thinking. Shodwall is a moaning bugger, but I've no doubt he's a genuine Falkirk man. I don't get the same impression with EB and from the comments made by others I'm obviously not alone.

  38. Very true, we keep turning up game after game in decent numbers and we are being treated like mugs. We need to stop being a bunch of crowdwankers. If the board think they are untouchable or doing a good job, stay at home and let the fuckers fund the club out of their own pockets. If Hartley stays we are going down the drain anyway. I'd rather take my kids on holiday than watch this w**k.

  39. Genuinely don't enjoy campaigning for someone to lose their job but what we are witnessing cannot be allowed to continue and the BOD would be failing in their duty if they allow this disaster to go on any longer. The support has stood by the club magnificently in the decade that we have been out of the top league but the anger evident in the stadium today shows that enough is enough. The BOD need to put down their tea and scones and sack those responsible for this utter fucking debacle right NOW!

  42. I've done the sums so you don't have to lads - if we keep up this current pace (and I see absolutely no reason why we won't), we win the league after dismantling St Mirren at Tynecastle on February 23. Guard of honour from Celtic in our following game on the 27th.

  43. When the fixture list came out I thought what shitty start 3 of the favourites for the league would have been happy to take 2 or 3 points but 7 out of 9 is brilliantly let's keep this momentum going make sure we are well clear of the drop zone then start dreaming of other things

  45. What is actively damaging the league is their refusal so far to properly join the pyramid & allow relegation. Once that happens, FW will drop down to the level that is appropriate for them, whatever that might be, while other clubs that "should" be in the HL, will end up there.

  46. Boys played well tonight and were the better football team IMO. Lot of football played from the back at which your lad was at the heart of. Canny argue with a hat trick from the lad who started at centre and again IMO the young keeper didn't cover himself in any glory with the last two goals we conceded. However he made a couple of great saves when we were down to 9men to keep it to four. Listen we win as a team and we also lose as a team and we were very unlucky not to come away tonight with a result. Anyway onwards and upwards, next up are the Candy, next weekend. Bring it on.

  47. True, but I’d rather watch a local Eyemouth team (getting hee haw and having to pay a £10er every week for the privilege to play) knocking their pan in, but getting pumped, than watch a bunch of fucking overpaid arrogant toonies who are only there to coin it in and don’t really give a f**k for the town. As I’ve said, we’re a strange bunch imo doon here ps....... it’s your year
