  1. Coulibaly’s rant seemed to be just that. I believe he was just pointing out to someone that Al-Ahly is also due to pay an amount. I read the letters as they were clearly visible at certain points of the video; I think a lot of us are misunderstanding the situation. I’m not quite sure that Souleymane understood the letters himself, going by the way he stuttered about the deadline to lodge an appeal as if it backed-up what he was arguing. It was totally irrelevant to what he was saying. If Coulibaly hasn’t paid the amount due, his next employer (Partick Thistle — and he can sign for them) can help him pay the amount. The amount will be amortised and can be paid incrementally, unless he lodged an appeal before the deadline. The same goes for Al-Ahly: they must pay Coulibaly the amount due unless they have lodged an appeal before the deadline. If Coulibaly or Al-Ahly have not appealed the ruling, the player should be eligible to join another club. Neither party has to pay the amount due within the time limit on the papers he held up; the deadlines on the paper were solely for the cut-off point to lodge an appeal - one for the claimant and one for the counter-claimant. If neither have paid the amounts, interest is applied to the amount until it is paid. Partick Thistle may have made an agreement with Coulibaly to help pay off the amount due in exchange for his services or Coulibaly may be in the process of paying Al-Ahly; perhaps it is already paid for. Coulibaly should be able to sign for another club even if the full amount is yet to be paid. He may take a while to get up to speed, but he is an outstanding coup for Partick Thistle. I am inclined to believe that the owners and/or club may have offered to help with the instalments paid to Al-Ahly whilst he is at the club. If Coulibaly has appealed the case, he would still be eligible to play for the current season while the case is brought to the Court of Arbitration for Sport — if necessary. That is just what I have gathered from FIFA’s myriad rules & recent amendments. I could be completely wide of the mark but I believe I’m a bit closer than people suggesting the Thistled Ivorian is getting mixed-up. A tremendous signing.

  9. Back when I was an apprentice, I'd been out on the Thursday night in Archaos until closing time, then got home had a couple of hours kip and got picked up by the engineer who was training me. Our first job was at the old, now no longer there, Royal Bank of Scotland on St Enoch square. I was quite looking forward to it on the way in as I knew a mates, very tidy ex bird, worked in there. As we drove to it though, my still pished state gave way to an increasingly crippling hangover. Once we got there, the engineer took pity on me and told me to sit in one of the chairs in the waiting area as we wouldn't be long. The very tidy bird was indeed working and came over to have a chat. By this point I could barely speak and as she was blethering away I realised that I was going to fart. In my state I couldn't even muster up the effort to try and stop it and pathetically let out a long, high pitched revelery akin to a balloon being slowly let down. It went on forever. Then the stench followed. She got up and walked away without saying goodbye. Luckily I've never saw her again.

  11. This place fucking stinks. Really, Really badly and its the same clowns all the time regurgitating the same pish looking for any and every angle to have digs and bring it down and spout the 'I hope I'm wrong line' do you f**k. If you were you would make a point and leave it at that. Instead drumming in every possible doomsday scenario page after page to cover every base so the old 'I told you so' can be shouted out loud whilst wanking yourselves into frenzy.

You may find others here stupid enough to get drawn into your pathetic, juvenile games of splitting hairs and whataboutery but you'll get no such satisfaction from me. Decent people everywhere know who the Orange Order are and why they do what they do, and I've got absolutely no interest in arguing the toss with an anonymous internet gobshite like you.

  16. Losing Dykes would be terrible for Queens. For me he's probably our second most important player and is starting to form a good partnership with Dobbie. He might not have enough to step up a level at the moment but Queens would struggle to find a comparable replacement.

  17. Dear god..........so the entirety of Hearts ambitions was "stopping Hibs". That didnt work out well, did it - we got Euro football, and your mob finished a whopping 18 points behind us Never mind, you just sold 20 goals a season to a close rival..................now thats ambition

  18. Are some Falkirk fans not overstating the amount of time needed to build a competitive side at this level? He's had since January realistically to get himself ready and has roundly failed. The much maligned AJ has had to do similar, the only players who started against Hearts who we had before January was Ashcroft and Williamson, and only 3 players on the bench. With the amount of one year deals thrown at this level it's pretty common for squads to change over the summer. The reason for the poor start is due to his woeful recruitment, you'll be waiting some amount of time for that dross to come together and compete for the promotion playoffs.

  22. There's a guy in my office who just looks like he does stinking farts so it's pretty much open-season for everyone else as our dear colleague absorbs all blame. I do feel quite sorry for him as he's regularly chastised for it, but he provides a vital service for the office. A fartyr, if you will.

  29. Lyndon Dykes has scored 8 goals in his last 11 appearances for the first team. That's before we get into his indirect contribution in assists and linking play. Anyone who thinks he wouldn't be a loss to us if he left is frankly peddling their own agenda and not looking at his actual play. He'd be a huge loss to us if he left.

  31. Despite being a shareholder, I have absolutely no idea how the concerts were financed or who was promoting them. I’d be dismayed to find that the club exposed themselves to any significant risk though. I’ve been in live music promotion long enough to know that it’s always a gamble. Some you win, some you lose. When you lose, you sometimes lose big. Music promotion should carry a government health warning. You should only gamble with what you can afford to lose. The playing budget should have been ring-fenced. Any music promotions (and I’d still be amazed, and not in a good way, to find that the club was actually promoting these shows) or similar speculative ventures should have been undertaken through a separate limited company. If the playing budget has been severely diminished by an inherently speculative venture, then that is extremely poor stewardship of the club by the directors.

  32. If we lose Easton, I can see the crowds dwindling even more & if we lose him to a club in this league it’ll come back to bite us. Just find it criminal that a lot of folk are slating arguably one of our best players? Crazy the mindset of some of these fans. The players around him aren’t exactly helping much? Baird hasn’t exactly hit the ground running, he’s been a bit of a let down so far despite scoring two goals. Fraser’s been out with little niggles so hasn’t really influenced in any games. Hilson’s been his usual not 100% but still gives 100% effort. Reilly’s tried to influence things but with nobody willing to offer options has been forced to either try to hit it long or pass sideways. MacKintosh as well doesn’t do enough for me, fair enough he runs about and puts in effort but he’s got nothing else to offer whatsoever, he’s just a squad filler type of player for me, just fits in wherever he’s needed to very little effect. Bain at right wing’s a strange one, don’t think he does enough in that role personally. Moore looks okay, but would rather see him come on from the bench. And then you’ve got Starkey & Coupe who aren’t good enough. We have very little attacking options and some fans are singling out the one main attacking influence!

  34. It's all very well saying they're still gelling but other teams like Hearts and Rangers have also brought in similar numbers of new players but both have started the season very strongly. Which makes you think it's not the gelling that's the problem with us, but the quality of players that's come in. The fact that there's been no improvement at all since the first game of pre season as you might expect would seem to support this.

  37. My personal favorite was when I was a kid, in P5 I think. Our teacher was a Bible basher and we had to say the Lord's Prayer before each class. During one such occasion I let an absolute ripper go. It was magnificent, several seconds long and at least two tone changes. Unfortunately there was no way of blaming anyone else, as I was pretty much crying with laughter. Got quite the punishment exercise for that one [emoji38]

  39. Manager for his recruitment policy and lack of basic tactical nuance. The bod for appointing said manager and residing over 10 years of backing the wrong horse in the managers they appoint and the way they run the club. Certainly not the fans who have consistantly backed the club through thick and thin . Any other club in our position would have seen a constant decline in support having spent the number of seasons we have down here and yet 4500 turn up and are treated to the shitfest that was the inverness game. How much longer they will put up with it I dont know but we must be getting close to breaking point for the majority and then we really will be in bother.

  40. Think Saturday is going to be a real test for us but I’m not fearful in the slightest. The team as a whole are a joy to watch and the cammeraderie between the players is inspiring. Got my haircut at the Turkish barbers at fish cross yesterday and the barber asked what I wanted. So I asked for short back and sides, kept long on top and parted to the side. He replied “Ah sir, you require the Shankland cut”. Stays and keeps us up this season then they can name a street after him, never mind a haircut lol.
