To tell the truth I thought McCall's repeated demands for a substantial increase in season ticket sales were pointless, but if you play football like that every week (and Ayr are doing so) then it might just work. Seriously, it feels like McCall is playing from an old saved game after reading all the strategy guides at the moment. Keep the team together, focus on bringing through your youth, and attack like your life depended on it. A hell of a redemption story even if he's not quite Ranieri yet.7 points

Privately-owned media have no obligation to be reasonably balanced so I'm not sure what your complaint is. Scottish nationalism is also loathed by the right-wing press and like most broad movements has its fair share of absolute nutters and extremists on its fringe, The media would like nothing better than to attach them to Nicola Sturgeon and the SNP but because that party is a politically sophisticated machine rather than a borderline cult, they can never credibly attach the nutters to the cause. Sturgeon and co. constantly run rings around the exact same press organisations by doing basic stuff like... err... completely denouncing said nutters at the first opportunity without deploying the caveats, consipracy theories and whataboutery that Momentum and the Mumbleclown favour. The reason why anti-Semitism has already led to an internal inquiry being carried out within the Labour Party and ongoing damage to their cause is because Corbyn and his allies have embraced fellow travellers whose views swerve into that morass. That is a failure of political leadership and the only person to blame for their current negative coverage is the Mumbleclown.7 points

Seem to be a lot of folk talking like Hartley is just going to passively accept it if folk turn out to be shite or not up to scratch. Like everyone else I really cant say how its going to go but there seems to be a rather odd thing going on where folk think Saturday is the be all and end all. Hartley showed last season he will adapt to what is required at the time. He has also been true to his word on almost everything he has said.7 points

2194 home fans today which I thought was a pretty good turnout. I thought folk would be happy with that crowd but there's some on the sre fb calling it a disgrace. Don't quite understand that. How many times have we had a big home game where the stay-aways have turned up only to be disappointed at the result/display. Certainly wasn't the case today, everything that could go right did.6 points

Because he wants to further his career, win trophies, get paid more and score a hat-trick for Scotland in the World Cup final? All players are for sale, that’s the hard reality I’m afraid.6 points

First time we have ever been top of any division of the Scottish League, though, even for a day - and that includes all pre-War Division 2, post-War Division C and since we came back into the League in 2016.6 points

Moff played very well today, and is crucial for the other attackers. He did look leggy near the end and there was a few misplaced passes - but that's nitpicking. Robbie Crawford was absolutely immense today though.6 points

Moffat was brilliant. I’ll fight anyone who says otherwise. Crawford was MotM though imo.6 points

The squad and management are more than capable of mounting a title challenge whether that’s this season or next. At the moment we are doing a lot of learning with new grounds and new teams and we will do that quickly, it’s a competitive league that we are absolutely loving being part of it and the challenge it poses. As it stands with the 3 stages of getting into the SPFL by winning the LL, winning the HL/LL play off then the SPFL Club 42 play off then the odds on getting to the SPFL for our club is around 25 to 1. We try to look at things in a logical way, by doing this we know it’s very slim we will ever be in the SPFL in the next 5 year while the current system in place. The club is being future proofed off the pitch for the long term.6 points

That’s the guy who went out to do John Rankin, but immediately ended his own career. Shame.6 points

Last time we were in the championship we didn't pick up a win to the 10th of September I'm gonna get excited and make silly predictions of dominating Scottish football. You are looking good as I expected you would. Well done. A good addition to the league.5 points

GordonS has put it more eloquently than I will but, if you think that all nationalism is the same or that all nationalism is bad, then you're a fucking moron.5 points

The first half one was arguably more concerning than the second. I can get a keeper making an arse of something and having a brain fart but he was actively looking for trouble. Bain liked his wee tricks and twirls but I don't think he ever went near a keepy up and header to beat someone on the left wing. Right after I defended the p***k yesterday and made myself a Hamilton fan girl! Only really hoping that it was so bad that it is a great education with him and he'll never f**k about like that again. That moment on his league debut will stay with him forever so it at least gives us a chance to see what he's made of and can just throw it to one side and learn from it.5 points

Ok, If he isn't, fair enough. So every player who wasn't on the bench should be emptied and we should just have a squad of 18 for the season then? Shut the f**k up.5 points

We were great today! Everyone did their bit, Robbie Crawford was ace. Much better through the middle than out wide. Credit to the defence, Rose & Adams look like a great partnership. Big Adams is playing really well in there, I didn't think he would get much game time this season but the Farmer's doing well. What a buzz around the place with so many fans. Hopefully today's performance keeps them coming. We are definitely a club on the up!5 points

I don't give a f**k about nationality, I just don't like getting ruled by Tories and dragged out of the EU because of the vote in another country.5 points

If we get relegated - I will run the length of the Garngad Road nude and give £20 to every person who calls me a fat specky b It won't happen on my watch and that is a guarantee X4 points

It certainly is a high. If you can’t put winning a league in that category then I don’t know what you expect. As much as winning the league at a canter is great, winning it on the last day of the season after experiencing the week previous is probably one of the biggest highs I’ve had as a football fan. It doesn’t get much better.4 points

Most Ayr United thing possible, wouldn't have wanted it to happen any other way. From the little Doohan had to do today I was very impressed with his calls into action. Must have a decent level of concentration, great distribution and a very good command of his box. On his busier days he's going to be an amazing asset to the club.4 points

Also, we train on that pitch every day. The dimensions are fixed. If you're the corner taker, stay behind after training every day and take 50 from each side. We had about four players having a go at them today and every delivery was rotten. With the height we have that could be a crucial area for us.4 points

I thought Moffat & Shankland (without his goals) were absolutely immense today. Hopefully Roxanne's Man was blootered because it's frightening if a sober person can come to that conclusion about Moffat today.4 points

Just wanted to wish Ayr Utd and their fans all the best for the season. I have a soft spot for Ayr in my heart. The mother of my Kids is from there and I have nothing but happy memories of going there to see her family. So Iwill be keeping an eye out for your results. Obviously, im not wanting you lot to beat my team tho4 points

Good luck to you guys today and for the rest of the season. Last year was another great achievement and yous deserve this opportunity to test yourselves at the top. I'm absolutely delighted for Shaun Byrne who I know personally: he's been through a lot in his life but Livi have got him back to his best and more and I'm so happy for him to be a major part of your club. As I said in the Podcast I produced, I think yous have strengthened with a bit of balls in terms of continuing the mantra of recruitment which has worked over the past 2 years rather than just chucking silly money at it. I genuinely hope it works out for yous and I'll be watching your scores avidly each week. Cheers!4 points

3 and a half hours till kick off. It takes less than this time to shag an ugly ICT team 5-0 on route to a title winning season.4 points

St Johnstone football club, no fans and from a pissy wee city. But still have more money banked, bigger turnover, are in the top 300 ranked sides in Europe and consistently finish above their local rivals. I FUCKING LOVE ST JOHNSTONE. Some fucking club lads, some fucking club.4 points

I'll clarify my earlier post. You're clearly as thick as f**k.4 points

You think 2 months after the juniors decide they want to feed off the sfa cash cow that they/you have some moralistic right to shout about what they want and what should happen regarding Scottish football and everyone should pipe down and agree to proposals....Selkirk were founder member's of the much ridicule lowland league at the start....pardon me if I don't bow down to junior clubs and fans proclaiming what should happen4 points

While the Card is on a weekend of bacchanalian debauchery someone has to tidy things up to keep a semblance of reality. So scores are still missing from the following people to finalise the tables and let Slips loose with the play-off question. Results must be in by Noon BST today (that's Saturday 4 August 2018) or else it's null points for you both: Premiership: AFJ, SWL: Salvo (all week)4 points

Crawford and Murdoch in central mid [emoji7][emoji7][emoji7], Kerr and Doc may struggle to get in the team glad doc's back and looked good in his cameo, young Doohan distribution is excellent not to mention 4 clean sheets in a row for the kid.3 points

I’m sitting outside the Mestalla Stadium and the steep uncovered stand it has looks absolutely terrifying. Would not want to be sitting up the back of that. But then, I am a shitebag.3 points

Listen I never knew there was any player injured and I never posted what I did because of that! I can be a total knob but I would never want to see any player, no matter who they are injured, that is for sure. I hope whoever he is has a full a speedy recovery, it something that happens in the game but it’s also something I never make a joke or a fool of for it happening.3 points
