  1. Sometimes I wonder if I've accidentally strayed on to a forum inhabited by fourteen year-olds...

  2. Yes it is, we had the 2 neighbours round at our door about a month ago telling us that Diego was round scrapping with their cats to the point that their cats did not want to leave the house, he was also wailing outside a guys window at 4 in the morning, he chased him down the street in his underwear throwing wellies at him. So we have had the vet cut his balls off. It had done the trick until we got a knock on the door, a guy across the street asking if we could come and watch a video he had of Diego, our eyes were rolling thinking "what now?" This odd old guy feeds badgers in his backy at night and films them. You see Diego walking over to where the badger is eating and joins in. The badger is all like, "What the f**k?" Investigates Diego, Diego takes a swipe and they carry on eating. He has came home a few times in a sorry state, all cut up, we think its the badgers, so he doesn't get out at night now.

  3. Some of the comments about Laurie Ellis are ridiculous. Laurie served the Rovers well for years and was a an absolute model professional off the field always willing to represent the club at events and functions. When McKinnon decided to leave I'm guessing he was faced with the choice to go with him or stay at Starks Park with no guarantee of even a job if the new manager didn't fancy him or wanted to bring in his own assistants. To criticise him for taking the safer and probably better paid option is nonsensical. Would welcome him back at Starks Park anytime. At the moment there's probably no space for him so hope he finds another job soon if he has indeed been sacked at United

  5. If Transfermarkt is anything to go by we're joint bottom of the disciplinary table alongside "big, physical Hearts". However that's kind of skewed a bit with the St Johnstone game where we had 3 players sent off (though Dunne's was subsequently rescinded). In that game McHugh was sent off for a 2nd yellow, Carson's presumably for denying a goalscoring opportunity and Dunne was a straight red after Cummins blatantly dived. The only other red we've had this season was Dunne's denying a goalscoring opportunity against County in the LC. So in line with what you're saying, we've not actually seen a player sent off for "excessive force" thus far. I'd imagine that's in the post now though. In terms of bookings we're fairly average, 18 yellow cards which is equal with St Johnstone and Dundee but less than County, Thistle and Hearts. Edit:

  6. Are we all forgetting that Magee spoke to himself for months as his Dundee fan alter ego Dave Coaches? Just as odd imo.

  7. Every thread like this Magee tries his absolute heart out to have digs at the likes of 8mile to try and befriend people on here. Absolutely tragic, and everyone still thinks he's an absolute loser.

  8. Aw so it's bad management for us to sign a 30+ injury prone forward but also bad management for us not to sign a 30+ injury prone left back. I understand.

  10. This is quite the show of nonchalance regarding P&B's dotting function from the man who has sent Private Messages to at least three separate posters trying to start 'dotting campaigns' against forum members he dislikes. Dots: serious business indeed.

  12. Thing is, as things stand it makes perfect sense for Kelty to have done it; there are a set of local conditions which make this pathway ideal for them, as two miles down the road from them there is an SPFL club in seemingly terminal decline who Kelty’s long game I imagine is to replace. They might never be the oft-quoted “new Ross County” but they can certainly be the new Cowdenbeath – who if they lose their SPFL status as seems a matter of time it’s difficult to see a way back for. On the downside, Kelty have got to spend at least one season – the presence of LTHV seems to be the only stumbling block – ritually humping the likes of Eyemouth/Tweedmouth and pretending it’s a step up from what they were used to. For a West club looking to do similar, the pathway is more problematic – a season (at least) in the SoS making 200+ mile round trips to every away game to play in front of 20-30 people with zero income from visiting fans in the return fixture. The big pay-off - apart from Scottish Cup entry of course - is the chance to continue making slightly less arduous trips to the likes of Selkirk and Innerleithen to play in front of 40-50 people, again with virtually zero income from visiting fans in the return fixture. Yeah, the pyramid is a good idea however I don’t see many clubs wishing to sacrifice themselves on the altar of an idea. The geography of the setup as it currently exists would make it financially – maybe also logistically – impractical for most West teams to countenance…Threave, who I believe were one of the initial LL movers and shakers have already retreated back to the SoS league with their tails between their legs for much those reasons.

  14. I haven’t even bothered reading the PMs fully and Can’t he arsed putting the effort into understanding the back story. However, being pally with someone by PM and then using those private conversations in public to curry favour with others is absolute snake like behaviour devoid of any integrity. The poster of the PMs might get a few laughs from those who he seeks to please but he will not be any better thought of or respected. Pathetic.

  15. Look the point of Kelty joining the EOS league wasn't because they thought the standard was higher than the Juniors. They've scored 47 goals in their 6 league games - that would seem to indicate that it's not. Kelty will win the EOS this year -they will gain promotion to Lowland League. They will be one of the strongest teams in the league. The benefits to them are : Automatic entry to Scottish Cup Entry to Scottish League Cup Group Stage ( if you finish top the year before and don't get promoted to SPFL2) Entry to Challenge Cup ( top 4 ) group stages Sponsorship payments and SFA payments This is about future ambition to be a member of the Scottish League not about local rivalries or cheap fitba

  18. Maybe a location issue with these long haired cats. Rory (RIP) came from Forfar and was a lunatic. Also had folk at the door complaining he was coming into their house, eating the food, battering the cats and crapping on their bed.

  22. Well I'm not terribly impressed if that's what you mean. Should I say I'm not bothered, or pretend to be delighted, regarding it as some sort of validation? What would be the correct response for you? The thread had completely passed me by, until summoned by a notification the other day to see unidentified posters having a go at me. I've been looking in since and the way people are behaving is frankly unbelievable. It's honestly amazing to see adults carrying on that way - the breaching of confidences, the bullying, it's something else. There really is an irony in this thread containing the suggestion that the worst of P&B is to be found on another one. Carry on enjoying it all if you wish. It truly is pathetic though.

  30. Not complaining about PMs being posted, that increases potential for an 8mile breakdown, but usually it's just terrible banter trying to be mates with everyone who is having a dig at someone that's not him. I get why it must be great when people are for once not giving you abuse, but it's cringeworthy as everyone clearly still knows he's a weirdo just as much as 8mile.

  32. I'll tell you what - nothing gets the seethe going like reading the pish that Brendan Rodgers is coming out with at the moment. Talking about players "lives being in danger" and naming Aberdeen and Motherwell players. Maybe the sanctimonious w**k should be made to sit through a Scott Brown highlights reel before he takes the moral high ground. We've had Brendan and Pedro piling on in a standard OF circle jerk, I'm looking forward to Neil Lennon completing the set in his presser before Hibs play us on Sat.

  33. When Leave said that on average British citizens would be better off under Brexit, was that the same way that a room full of tramps would on average become billionaires when Bill Gates walked in?

  34. Rather funny how P&B members goad each other, eager to kickstart and promote breakdowns with a bitchiness associated with teenage girls; until the moment where they reach the depression thread where suddenly calmness, support, and rationality takes over.

  37. Some of these suggestions about 8mile being off his nut on here are pretty low if you ask me. As you can see from these DM's on twitter he sent me shortly before he blocked me and invented an online alias to stalk my social media and started having text conversations with himself the boy is perfectly stable.

  38. Hello Lads, more of a lurker than a poster here, but after having witnessed the Partick match in person I cannae hold it in any longer. I'm more frustrated this year than I was last year because this year it's clear we have a much better team. But watching Moussa, ElBak, and Deacon when they have a goal scoring opportunity makes my eyes bleed. And yes I realise that AJLS really messed up that penalty attempt at least he seems to know where the net is in general. For me, Haber has to come back in (and I realise he is know world beater), and play with AJLS. I know that Haber isn't everyone's cup of tea, but when he plays for us the ball winds up getting pinged around the opponents box quite a lot because his holdup/layoff ability with his feet, chest, and head is something that no one else in our team can do. I realise that Haber is not a prolific scorer, but I firmly believe that he would've put away at least half of the chances that Moussa has had. Now on to O'Dea, and Bain: Waddell almost singlehandedly beats Hearts with two climb the ladder headers, and gets promptly rewarded by being handcuffed to the bench so needless to say I'd have him back in over O'dea. Ironically the one thing the captain O'Dea could've done on Saturday was take that penalty and blast it into the net. As for Bain very frustrating to see him botch that equaliser on the weekend, but the flipside is that he does pull off amazing saves. I think he still needs to come out for the ball more, but I'd be pretty shocked to see a change there at this time. Having said all of this whoever pulls on the DFC shirt wednesday will have my full backing, and if they're not in my team below I hope they shut my puss. One last thing, maybe it's time we see Basque Jon Aurt. sooner rather than later?? What's up with him? Anybody ken? If McGowan is hurt then I suppose Deacon to start unless it's time to see if Wolters is going to offer anything or not? Thanks for reading my ramblings fellow Dees, DTID.
