  1. Another quirk at Celtic Park is that the turnstyles are so narrow, you have to tie your inflatable sex doll's arms together to get it through.

  3. Ah, the 'it doesn't matter that we haven't won, we're unbeaten!' argument has now progressed to 'but we've only lost twice while not winning once!!!11!!!'. This is genuinely stunning stuff. We have three points from five games. That is relegation form. Whether the three points come from three draws and two defeats or one win and four defeats it's still an absolutely disastrous start to the season. 'Just outwith' the playoffs?! If we were 'just outwith' the playoffs then we only escaped relegation by the skin of our teeth. We finished 19 points from fourth place and 12 points from ninth. Despite the fact that we were in reality a mile away from the playoffs, yes, Duffy did do a good job last season. Those of us who had criticised him in the past held our hands up then and acknowledged that our pre-season and early season fears were unfounded and that Duffy had proven us wrong then by staying up comfortably. We admitted we were wrong based on the available evidence, namely performances, results and the league table. Now it's time for you to do the same. You're defending Duffy in spite of all the available evidence - there is no reason to believe it's just a matter of this team gelling for us to start getting results. Our cup results against Kilmarnock and Hamilton aren't an indication of what this team is capable of regularly with the league performances being a blip - the League Cup results are the anomaly and the league results are the norm. Gary Oliver having a great game against Kilmarnock doesn't mean he's capable of playing well in the league every week just as Jonathan Page having a great game when we won 1-0 at Celtic Park didn't stop him being one of the worst players in the division and indeed the history of the club. The fact that we got those great cup results with Quitongo and Tidser playing superbly doesn't mean Kudus Oyenuga, Jamie McDonagh or Caolan McAleer are going to suddenly gel with the team and stop being mince when our good players lose form or are unavailable. No one denies that there are long term problems at the club which go beyond the position of the manager and won't be resolved by sacking Duffy. However, it is quite clearly the case that changing the manager could see an improvement. There is a short term problem that results are not good enough, with the squad built being inadequate and the manager exposing the weaknesses of the squad during games. The obvious short term fix to that short term problem is to sack the manager and prevent the relegation which will add to those long term problems.

  4. Firstly Gaz, I know what you're going through. My eldest has Aspergers and it is a constant worry that other children are not including him. He is a lovely little boy and loves playing, but generally on his terms only. Whilst I agree what your father-in-law said was completely unacceptable, even more so if your daughter was within hearing of it, I can sort of understand to an extent the look your mother-in-law gave. I love my eldest as much as a father should, but I do breathe a sigh of relief when my Mum has him, or his brother, overnight as I know I'm not facing difficulties between him and his brother or having to battle to get him to sleep. The two of them together can be an absolute nightmare at the best of times, and if your MIL does a lot of your babysitting I can see why she might have wanted a bit of peace at the weekend, we all need a bit of rest bite. You should have a word with your wife's Dad. At the end of the day, he may be stressed as a result of having the kids, but they don't need to hear that, it helps no one. I am guilty of saying things out of turn occasionally when I'm stressed, we all are, and I always try to make amends if I do say anything out of place, so you should let him know how the comment he made made you and your wife feel. And if he doesn't like it then f**k him. It's a daily struggle, and reading that someone else is going through the same (although in fairness it does sound like we have it mild in comparison), it does help. As others have said, if you ever need a chat, please feel free to send me a message.

  12. Without the use of a spirt level, you cannot be sure the road is flat. When I'm first at the lights, I apply the brake and look at the other lights. I stay alert and when it's obviously the turn of the lights I'm at, I quickly release the handbrake before my light has turned green and pull away. I'm able to do this because I have the cognitive function of a sane human being

  18. There have been good performances - in the cup. Remember, the most embarrassing Morton team of recent times that miserably sent us packing to the seaside league a mere 3 seasons ago, rocked up at Parkhead and put in a match winning performance. The league is the bread and butter - this squad have been woeful so far in the league. It is clear as day that the squad is under equipped and that's down to the manager. No amount of gelling is going to change that. With the relegation 3 seasons ago still raw in many fans' minds - there's no way patience will be given when it is glaringly obvious that the lessons that should have been learnt from that very season have not been learnt and the similarities to this current season are startling. But feel free to sit back and watch and clap away while we tumble yet again.

  22. Easton is obviously terrific and the key focal point of our team, but I think you're doing a dis-service to the other players in the side. Flynn, Linton, Peaso, Fergie, Scott McLaughlin, JP when fit. There's a good enough team in there to get into the top four; probably a better side than last season's. Although I'd absolutely accept a title challenge would be less likely, and we'll be less fun to watch! Would also really leave us needing a better run of luck with injuries.

  28. Nothing against criticism and we didn't start the season well but the amount and ott nature after just a couple of league games is to much. Lose a couple of games and the players are crap, sack the manager and the board everything is a crisis etc. Same the opposite way, I know it's the nature of forums/social media to sensationalise everything, it'd just be nice to get a bit of perspective or give things a bit longer to develop.

  29. Firstly, we don’t even know the extent of the injury yet. It could be the rest of the season, or it might only be a few weeks. Just wait and see. Secondly, in spite of how good Easton is, if you’re pinning your hopes of winning the league on one player, then you don’t deserve to win it. I think moving Flynn into the centre, and giving him less defensive responsibilities, will benefit him greatly. I’d push McNeil on to the righthand side of midfield, leaving Johnston at rightback and Oliver/Perry at centreback. We may drop a few points in games where Easton may have made a difference but we’ll likely pick up some elsewhere, by moving the ball through midfield quicker and being a little more direct at times (that doesn’t mean hitting long balls).
