Had my biggest ever win yesterday. 8 minutes added on in the Huddersfield game when they were only 1-0 up was an absolute ordeal.

I think Dobbie's heart is with Queens and that he is a man of his word. He wants to help the club gain promotion, something he felt they should have done in his first spell. Although he's clearly capable of playing in the Scottish Premiership, I can't really see the attraction for him of joining a club like Killie, Partick or Hamilton for a grim season-long slog against relegation. If money isn't his primary motivation, which it seems not to be, better to stick with Queens, a club where he is revered and where he clearly enjoys his football. My worry going forward would be holding on to Skelton. Very impressed with the transformation he has effected in the club in such a short space of time. This season is as exhilarating as last season was turgid. There was a point in the second half of the game yesterday, at 3-1 up, when Skelton was encouraging the players to go forward, score another and kill off the game. The attacking verve with which Queens play, even away from home, at the moment is refreshing. As I said at the time, Queens looked more dangerous in the second half of the cup game at Easter Road recently than they had in the previous four games there combined. I've rarely seen a Queens team play such an ambitious game going forward, away from home at a club of St Mirren's stature, than we saw yesterday. Despite reports to the contrary, St Mirren didn't play that badly - in fact they carried considerable attacking threat, but we kept hitting them on the counter and made players like Webster and MacKenzie (who not so long ago were both in international squads) look laboured and slow (of thinking and movement). The quality and movement of Dobbie, Lyle (who have struck up a great understanding) and Hilson and the pace of Anderson was causing them all sorts of problems all afternoon. When the instincts of many managers would have been to shut up shop with a 3-1 lead, Skelton was urging us forward to get a fourth. He knows that our major strengths are going forward, and the game was set up for us to exploit St Mirren's increasingly desperate attempts to get back into the game. Skelton also talks very well after games, I am impressed by his clear-sighted post match evaluations and he is constantly talking about areas of weakness to work on for the next game and small improvements that can be made. I think Queens have unearthed a real gem of a manager here.

Srw - what were the good times to be a Dee? Cause it certainly wasn't the 10 year in the First Division. This is the best it's been in about 18 year. It's not great but to call for the managers head whilst we are a steady Premiership team is just a minter. Too many people think we should be challenging Celtic for the title.

I spotted rejected Labour candidate (and desperate limelight seeking Brexiter) Tom Harris claiming that it's ridiculous people are expecting a Brexit plan or blueprint, because it's all up for negotiation and the vote was purely on EU membership, not what form it should take. That's me not long finished PFS. 3h24m of moving time which I'm really happy with. It was a pretty good route with not too many tough hills and no hairy descents with gravel-covered tight corners at the bottom either. A really good day overall. Not too many Wiggo wannabes either.

I feel we did have the right tactics for all those games tbh, just not the right players, personally I'd like to see us with a more rigid style based on quick counter-attack, similar to Atletico's style. It's seemed to me that it's either the team selection that is poor more than anything. Also, we didn't cut out the mistakes, and in every single one of those games those mistakes have lead us to 0 points out of a possible 12 rather than 8 that we could have had. We don't have them, because they keep making basic errors which, at this level, is utterly unacceptable. Every single game this season we have had at least one massive f**k-up which either has or very nearly cost us a goal. That is shameful, especially given the fact that it has completely sullied what would have otherwise been a good performance. It isn't nice when you play badly and lose, but when you seem to be playing well but are losing games comfortably, that is terrifying.

Your expectations are utterly deluded. We're a mid table sized club who've been struggling badly for a decade and have only sorted things out relatively recently. We've lost two of the best players in the league and have, understandably, taken time and looked a little rough to adapt. We didn't play that badly today and we've signed a lot of new players who are coming together and trying to replace a massive void. Give it some time ffs.
