  2. Queens have struck absolute gold with Dobbie. Not many players around these days who can clearly play at a higher level but choose to play for a club because they love said club/enjoy playing for said club. Very refreshing to see and fair play to Dobbie and Queens.

  3. The quality of poster sticking up for Grimbo means they really aren't doing his profile any good. The absolute dregs of pie and bovril.

  4. If it's a private ticket it's still just an invoice that can't be enforced, but they do have the option to take it to civil court if they feel the need to. Also before Mark Connolly gives me into trouble for helping, you're a c**t.

  6. Unionists are kidding themselves if they think any Yes voters are changing their minds but I do think Scotland's financial situation has to be roughly on par with the UK's to get this through. Objectively speaking, different parts of the argument from back then have been won and lost on each side. The SNP's economic argument from 2014 will work against them (constitutionally, they're fine electorally) as long as Scotland's finances lag behind the UK's. You could fairly argue about the relative strength of both economies for most of the build up to 2014, hence why things like GERS figures were barely reported. Now things are clearly more challenging. Oil is just a bonus, £x better off per person, xth richest country on earth etc. These are statements that will sting the Yes side if the campaign started tomorrow. The opposite can be said of much of the ideological arguments. More in common with North of England, no political difference between England and Scotland, Labour will be back in soon, there won't even be an EU Referendum, only way to stay in Europe is to vote No, the Vow. These are Yes's told you so's. The debates of the first Referendum really ended up boiling down to 'can' Scotland be an Independent country, rather than 'should'. To the people who can swing it next time, the No side is winning the 'can' argument and Yes is winning the 'should'. It's a really big challenge in the circumstances and I'm not holding my breath over it - but the SNP's target must be to use it's limited powers to restore Scotland to economic parity/superiority relatve to the UK. Achieve that and it's game over.

  7. On behalf of everyone, please stop this. I die a little inside every time I see it and it hurts me knowing you're probably chuckling away to yourself every time you type it. Fucking horrendous patter, just be normal and call him an arsehole or something. Please.

  9. There's a very good chance the deplorable Grim O'Grady will reach a score of -1000 by the end of the week. Can I have confirmation from a moderator that this will lead to his outright banning from these forums? I'd hate to think my efforts, and the hard work of others, over the past four weeks have been wasted. There have been a number of occasions when I've wanted to leave a negative score on other poster's comments but I've stopped and thought: "No, save it for Grim O'Grady instead".

  11. I'd prefer to see the fans use any fan energy to get behind the current regime than spend it booing McKinnon/Toshney. We're doing well under Locke thus far and if we continue to do well then McKinnon will quickly be a distant memory.

  13. Apologies if I'm repeating myself here - I know I've posted this before but I don't think it was here. Anyway... Clicking on a link as a web page finishes loading, only for an advert to appear at the very last second which shoves everything down the screen and you find you've clicked on something entirely different...

  19. Jason Brown Arbroath have completed the loan signing of 20 year old midfielder, Jason Brown from Inverness Caledonian Thistle until January 2017. Jason came on as a substitute in our Betfred Cup defeat at Inverness in July. In February he was named as one of the SPFL wonderkids to watch out for http://spfl.co.uk/news/article/spfl-wonderkid-17--jason-brown/ We look forward to seeing what Jason can during his time at Gayfield. 23. I can just imagine the day he gets banned being like that episode of the Simpsons when Ned Flanders is kicked out of his own bomb shelter when there is a large meteor about to destroy earth. An initial gladness that he is gone followed by an eerie guilty silence which is then broken by Skidmarks (playing the part of homer) making a stand telling us to all be ashamed of ourselves despite him being the main protagonist in Grimbo's downfall. This particular day dream of mine ends with all P&B posters joining arm in arm serenading Grimbo at the Spartans pitch with "Que Sera Sera".

  29. Christie Gillies Park Silverknowes Edinburgh. Sat nav EH 4 5 EJ For those in cars there's Laurieston Farm (Toby carvery) about a 5 minute drive or Silverknowes golf club around 2 minute drive for food. Golf club should have lunchtime sky match on (well it did the last time I was there) ? alternatively they'll have pies at the club inside the ground. (Quickest route from Falkirk probably take a left at the Maybury roundabout towards Barnton junction, there's a way to the ground that way, though I reckon the sat nav will have you going via Davidson s mains.) The ground itself has come on a long way since they used to have just a rope around the pitch. It's now enclosed with a bike shed type stand. It has a large social club,i think there will only be one bar open, the other lounge maybe used for functions, behind the goals, where you have to pass a derelict bowling green to reach the ground. Enjoy yer day if ye play anywhere near as close as against us then I can comfortably see you taking all 3 points. Enjoy.

  30. I got a Project Carbon last year. However if I had a complaint it would be that it doesn't have a switch for going between 33 and 45 which means you have to lift the plate (which is bloody heavy) and then manually switch the belt. This is a bit of a pain in the ass and definitely puts me off playing singles and EPs. I don't know how much that would affect you but I kind of wish now that I'd paid a bit more for a turntable with that feature. Pretty sure Project do them but they are the more expensive models. I'd also advise to get a turntable with an inbuilt phono stage. I have numerous old amps with phono inputs but I've not been able to get any one of them to actually work properly requiring me to by a separate phono stage unit.

  32. Daily Express reporting we've made a 'last-ditch' bid for Tom Hateley, but given Dundee, Hibs, and a few English clubs are also interested I'm making a last-ditch bid for Alison Brie to give me a soapy titwank. Not that I'd want it to happen (Hateley; Brie very much so).
