Have you read the FIFA transfer regulations I posted earlier in the thread? According to FIFA players are contracted to a club.UEFA defines a club as the legal entity which is responsible for the fielding of a team. The falicy is that club and company are seperate.

Where he comes down I think though, is that he's as inflexible as his opponents. The likes of LNS have not offered a legal verdict on the new club debate because it's not a question that's been asked in that sphere and I can't see why it would be. Citing all the bodies as if they've each reached an independent view is also disingenuous as most were happy to take a lead from the domestic ones that have done nothing to hide their vested interests. Every child will have a named person that much is correct. However the vast majority of kids will never know the person in that capacity. If there is no danger to that child there is no problem. The named person will act as a single point of contact for the child or the parents, instead of the child being directed to pillar and post, which is some cases stop's preventative measures coming in until they're too late. The parents(unless there's conclusive proof of harm) are in no way obliged to accept the advice the named person gives them. The argument that it is unworkable is also nonsense. I work in the Highlands and the scheme has been rolled out here for the last 6 years with good results. It is because of the success of the scheme in places like the Highlands that it is being rolled out nation wide. It is good legislation imo. There may be an element of truth that the SNP have failed to explain it properly but on these matters I think it's important to do your own reading anyway and no I don't mean reading the newspapers.

The arguments from both sides can be picked apart but the main points on the footballing bodies side are...The SFA employed an independent panel to adjudicate on the rules regarding the transfer of arbitration with regard to the TUPE players. The panel ruled that the arbitration process did not transfer to the new club. New Rangers attempted to reestablish the arbitration process with the SFA but later dropped their attempts. FIFA regulations on transfers state that players must be contracted to a club. FIFA allowed the international clearance of players who were contracted to Rangers. UEFA state that it is not allowed for clubs to change entity whilst in an insolvency event. If a club changes entity in that case then they are dismissed from their FA. A club must be a member of an FA to be considered a club by UEFA. The league bodies, SFL, SPL, and SPFL are the only ones who have given Rangers continuation any credence. All they are are companies who run/ran league competitions. It is/was in their interests to have one of their prime products kept alive. They are not authorities in the game. There are arguments on both sides but as far as I can see all the associations involved have rules which suggest new club.

I wouldn't be opposed to us signing Yano to be honest, he's consistently played at a level above League 2 for years now. With Hammy able to play in the centre of defence also, we could see Yano yet sign on, and it would give us two very good options at left back. 100% agree with this. One of the biggest positives of getting quality (at this level) players signed up so early is others will take notice and want to join a team that looks like they will be very strong. It'll also hopefully help us further down the line with loans, as teams will want their promising younger players playing in winning teams and alongside guys they can learn from. Our squad is looking very healthy for this time of year, but as I said before, lets just remember individuals don't make a good team and we're still short in key positions. Even if we sign another 2/3 players of the quality of Hamilton/ Prunty/ McCord in the right places, if they don't gel as a team it obviously won't work. It's impossible to fully judge if they'll all work together until at least August.

The most atmospheric stadiums are full ones. I wish we needed 25k capacity, but we just don't. Average attendance is 14k with the team doing well. Whilst I agree about football grounds being situated out of town, it will be a relief not to have to suffer the traffic nightmare getting to and from Pittodrie. On balance, I wish we were staying at Pittodrie, but the need for proper training facilities means I grudgingly welcome this. I watched my team win the Super Cup in that stadium and I loath the thought of leaving. However, it's time to move on.
